I received a pair as a Christmas gift. I like the feel. They where even able to find them in a tall, which is amazing. It's so nice to have something long enough, even if they did have to go to the men's department for it. I was looking forward to the warmth of long johns from my youth, and I just didn't get that.

I love the Omni heat products but this one is not warm. At only 32 degrees outside I could feel the air through these and my pants. I would not recommend them.

I didn't like these tights at all. Putting them under silver ridge pants and walking around at 58 degrees fahrenheit, the tights didn't keep my legs warm. Also, they bound on the pants and bound even worse when I added another layer of fleece over them. The material fits snugly and the reflective layer looks cool and the manufactured quality is high, but the design is substandard. These tights leave me cold and restrict leg movement. Give me an old fashioned waffle weave long underwear.

Does not keep my legs warm. Went on a 3 mile walk in 33 degree weather after receiving my order, and my legs were just as cold as if I wasn't wearing a base layer at all. I had hoped to wear these when snowshoeing in much colder weather, but they are not up to the job. Better to buy something with wool.

Do not wear next to skin; the only way to keep warm for me was to wear a layer under this garment. The reflective heat didn't work to over come the wicking action. I thought I was going to die! Having chosen to wear this garment ruined my whole day; I was cold, dangerously cold, all day even with Rivers West heavy fleece water/wind proof garment over the top in 20 degree F temps. I've never had a problem like this before with these RW pants using a true thermal base layer. You'd have to be working out very hard all of the time and never stop to survive wearing this garment next to your skin.

These may be OK when one is active, but the thermally reflective surface gets cold against your skin when touched by the slightest breeze.
I work in security, and it entails a lot of hours standing guard in the winter cold. I am a veteran and now work in government security. The first time I wore these I was shivering within 30 minutes of starting my shift, and it was in the 40's. The next day I tried them with another layer, made by Techwick, under them, and I still felt the silver dots get cold and clammy.
The jackets actually work as intended, and that's what drove me to waste my money on this garbage. Please avoid my mistake and get something else if you are a soldier or security professional.
Apologies to Columbia, I am sure they are nice people, I just care too much for the people I have worked with, some of whom have lost their lives protecting others.
Best wishes
