Awesome coat, don't be worried about the thinness of this coat, it's down without the bulk. Purchased one last winter also and was not disappointed. Child can be warm and not uncomfortable with a thick, bulky winter coat.

Warm and light weight! Purchased this coat for my daughter. I prefer my daughter to dress warm in layers and this is the PERFECT winter coat without the added bulk or weight. Not to mention, this coat is sharp looking!! Received multiple compliments each time it is worn. Not sold in my local area so thank you Zappos for carrying this item.

Light weight and warm. The length is perfect to wear with skirts and dresses, as well as pants. I would highly recommend this coat.

Beautiful coat. Tried it on a 30’s weather with only shirt underneath, it is indeed warm. Also 25F with a light sweater underneath still warm. I originally got this for my 10 yo daughter, went for sz 10-12, since she is so petite, still huge but at least plenty of room to grow. Surprisingly hers fit me though way too tight and so decided to purchase the XL (18) for myself. I am 5’7 and 135lbs, average built, and the size XL (18) fits me perfectly. Considering my height and the coat for is for youth, this coat still covers my bum. Good buy!!!!

Very cute lightweight but warm jacket! My daughter got it in navy and it's thin enough to wear around school but still warm for going from the car in to school on super cold days. Highly recommend!

This is a perfect coat for my 6 year old. The weight and length are perfect. She usually fights me on wearing heavy coats. This gives warmth without being too bulky. We’ve received many compliments.

I hate sending my daughter to school in huge heavy coats, I was looking for something that would be suitable for the 15 minutes intervals she is outside, at recess, or traveling from car to classroom. It's just perfect, low profile, lightweight, easy to pack in a backpack, all around a great buy. Let's face it, kids hate wearing coats, and I'd rather her have something lightweight and extremely wearable, rather than have her refuse to wear a coat that makes her feel like a mummy in a snow storm. I purchased the size XSmall for my 6 year old daughter who is tall and slender for her age, in the 95th percentile. There is room to grow in the waist and sleeve length, we could have gotten away with a 2XS, but would not have been able to wear it again next year. Very happy with the quality and design, definitely a good buy, wish I could find one for myself.

Purchased for myself a L ~ 5'0, 96 lbs. It is very lightweight and perfect for California cold weather season. Room for a sweatshirt on colder days.

I have this coat in black from a past season and thought I'd get a second in a different color. It's the same, except for the cuff. Instead of having the thin elastic cuff, it has an open cuff. TNF sleeves tend to be a little on the long side. With the old coat it wasn't an issue since the elastic at the wrist kept the sleeve in place. With the new open sleeve, the sleeves are too long and hang down past my wrist. I'm 4'11" and wear a kid's XL.
