After reading the reviews saying they run small, I ordered a size up from my recommended size of 1X. I normally wear a size 18. I tried on the 2X when they arrived and they are huge on me! Even tightening the Velcro belt strap all the way, they are falling off my hips. I sent them back and ordered a a 1X like I should have done in the first place. Take your measurements, follow the size chart, and you should be fine ordering your normal size. I am still giving them 5 stars because they are beautiful pants. The inside is lined with the Omni heat technology, which is basically little silver dots that reflect your body heat back to you. I'm a snowboarder and it's been very frustrating over the years trying to find cute snow pants above a size 12. Props to Columbia for realizing that plus size women are active too. So excited to wear these on the mountain this year!

The pants fit well 1x/fits a 16W. Because they utilize the Omni heat technology- they are not bulky. I own a jacket with the technology which worked well in Alaska this spring - so I am confident the pant will be warm. Worth purchasing.

I ordered these in the white color 2x and they fit perfectly. I did not think they ran small. They keep you very warm and allow you to still move freely. I wore them snowshoeing in a blizzard and was outside for over 3 hrs at night and I was warm. Thank you for making plus size ski pants I had just about gave up!

I have been searching for a great woman's snow pant for a long time, and I finally found it. These pants fit wonderfully and I often have such a hard time finding a ladies pant that fits right. They are not too long, and extremely warm. The only down side is that after reading the size reviews, then loosing a bit of weight, I bough my pants one size to big. I will, however be purchasing a NEW pair in the right size and selling my current pair.

I love these! I went snowshoeing for the first time this winter in Colorado and I was not able to tell it was in the single digits aside from my face getting cold from time to time. These kept me dry, warm and happy the whole time! Bonus! Great for shoveling out my folks driveways after a nasty week of storms back to back this winter.

These pants are so warm i almost couldn't wear them to shovel...and we had 3 feet of snow! They fit wonderfully and have an adjustable waistband that was very nice. I have a big 'ole butt, but a smaller waist so i was afraid these wouldn't fit, but they fit perfectly! I'm 5'5" tall, with 50" hips and a 40" waist. The pants run true to size, maybe a tad big, but not much, and i can cinch the waist in a bit too. The waist is a little scratchy with the Velcro and tags so if you have a body suit to wear, I would layer it with that. My tucked in shirt kept coming out with all the activity I was doing. I actually got sweaty wearing these. They look great, and the quality is amazing. I'm so glad I found them on sale, but they are worth full price. I can see these lasting me for years.

Ordered in 2x, I use them for snowboarding and they fit perfectly! I'm 5'8 and a size 16 enough room to move in the legs and the waist just right. Id recommend these over the original bugaboo snow pant they're less bulky and can function more!

I ordered these pants in a 2X thinking I would wear a base layer under them. I normally wear a size 16-18 or a 1X. I went up a size and they were huge. I returned them and got the 1X size and they are perfect. I have plenty of room to wear leggings under them. I am 5'3" and they are too long, but I'm hoping with my snow boots on they will be ok. Quality is excellent. They are very thick. I can't imagine wearing them anywhere else but while in the snow.

I did not get to wear these yet because I had to send them back for a bigger size - suggest you buy one size up on this one. The inside of pants are lined with special material to hold in heat. These are like ski pants so they will be bulky and they have some weight to them.

These pants are exactly what I needed. Im usually a 2X pants size, after reading many reviews on how these ran smaller, I initially decided to buy these in a 3X because I am bigger in the waist area but when I received them they were HUGE on me. I returned the 3X and bought 2X and they are perfect, I was still able to adjust the velcro straps on the side to make them tighter. Loved them.

Pants are warm without being bulky. Sizing is a little difficult to workout without trying them on. The inseam was long (size chart says 36 inches) on the Plus sizes without any shorter options that I saw

In general, I think these are the best plus size pants on the market. They are exceptionally well made and very warm. I have two main complaints, however: (1) the regular inseam is way too long (these are 32in and I think most regular inseams are 30in) and (2) the rise on these pants is SUPER low if you have any kind of weight in your butt/hip area (which most plus size folks do.) Yes, the velcro helps adjust the waist, but these barely cover my backside because the rise is so low. I wish they were a higher rise, or Columbia offered more rise options.

Fit to size well made legs to long for average height.

Pockets were great, but wish it had some stretch to move more while skiing. It keep me plenty warm in 20ish degree weather. Didn't need to wear a baselayer.

I ordered these Bugaboo pants and the Wildside pants as I couldn't decided between the two. Even in person, both are fairly similar with a few differences, the biggest for me was fit - the Wildslide were slightly more slimmer cut in the leg whereas these Bugaboo are a more relaxed fit leg. I ended up going with these Bugaboo ones because of the more relaxed fit as I was going to need to fit a base and mid-layer underneath and still have a good range of movement for bending and crouching down (doing photo work outdoors). As the size chart put me on the border between the 1X & 2X sizes, I ordered both sizes to try. I ended up going with the 2X because the 1X were way too small. The 2X were a little big in the waist but the waist cinching velcro built in solves that. Just back from a week of wearing them around Yellowstone for winter with two layers under neath and they were perfectly comfortable, very warm, and still had good movement.

These definitely run small. I sized up and it’s a good thing because my usual size would not have fit. They’re very long but I’m only 5’1” and with boots it doesn’t matter much. Kept me warm and dry.

I really like these pants, but I wear out the bottom because they are to long. They drag the ground in my snow boots! How about some shorter inseams!

Recently snowshoed in these beauties in -5 F in the Uintas and my legs were warm the whole time. I've skied in them numerous days& nights and my legs never got cold if anything they got too hot. I think if they had thigh vents I could give them a 5 star. I ordered up because of the reviews and regret it they are too big. I think they run true to size.

I got these pants for a quick trip to Red River, NM. I'm 5'7" 200 lbs and have a wide hips and a butt :-) Usually I wear a size 16 pant or 1X, these ran a little small when trying to sit (we were going snowmobiling) so I went up a size and it was perfect. I had double layers under and there was plenty of room and it kept cold and snow out.

I'm between sizes and ordered the XL first and they were too small. The 2X was way too big. I usually wear a size 18. The pants seemed like they would be very warm and were well made.

These pants are great for keeping the cold and snow out. After reading other reviews, I ordered a size up and I am so glad I did especially as they are worn over your other pants.

At first I bought the 3x. They were quite big for me, I'm 5'8' and 250lbs. So I sent them back for the 2x, they are a bit small in the waist, but they fit great! Feel warm, cant wait to use them on the slopes!!
