I love these shoes! I have wide feet so I ordered a full size up and they fit perfectly. If you have normal width feet, a half size up will work well. Like most running shoes, it's good to get a half size up. The color is great, they are somewhat neutral compared to a lot of running shoes and the blue and grey are a great color combination. I am a plus size person and they are very comfortable and have great cushion. The traction is great for running on the road or light trails. They are waterproof with a GTX lining but don't feel hot at all. I would buy these again when they need replaced.

Great Trail runner and hiking shoe. I tried at least 10 different shoes, and this one provides the stability and comfort for a long trail run. Perhaps slightly longer than my regular Brooks running shoe, and wide enough in the toe box. Put them on and did a strenuous 15 mile run / hike and feet felt great!

Best shoes I've ever purchased. Started walking and working out at gym. I have narrow feet and deal with plantar fasciitis and these shoes provide cushion, support and stability. Worth every penny.

I wish this shoe worked for me. It's nice looking. looks sturdy enough for trails. I tried two sizes--please make the toe box deeper, the way ghosts used to be.

The color of these was a pleasant surprise. I thought they looked very gray and unappealing in the picture, but since my choices in Gore-Tex were limited I decided to give them a try. Instead of the gray I thought they were going to be, it's more of a bluish purple gray. I like them! I love the Gore-Tex, perfect for dewey mornings and maneuvering the puddles on sidewalks from sprinklers. I agree with other reviewer's that the toebox is shallower, and they seem a little short even though I always go up one size in athletic shoes. My previous pair of Brooks Gore-Tex fit a little better because I need the deeper toebox. However, I was able to wear them on an hour walk the first day with no breaking in and the only slight discomfort I had was in the toebox as I climbed a couple hills. But today as I put them in for the second time, my toes miss their wiggle room.

This is a great shoe, especially if you have a high arch. it runs narrow compared to some other athletic shoes, giving it a firm and stable fit.

Love! Needed a shoe with good support and comfort for my 12+ hour shifts in the ER. Have worn them for 2 days and couldn't be more pleased--also received several compliments from my patients. I always get 1/2 size larger in my running shoes than my regular shoes and these were perfect.

Loved everything about this shoe except it doesn't work with the Morton's neuroma in one of my feet. Size is true - no need to go up or down, nice cushioning, color is great. I would definitely recommend this shoe.

Just finished my workout and my feet fell like I was running on clouds, so excited about these! Brooks are my favorite and yet another pair lives up to their expectations! 5 stars all the way!

These shoes are very comfortable and keep my feet dry during rainy walks. Order up 1/2 size unless you wear very thin socks.

These shoes are the perfect fit, the perfect color. I love everything about them. I even hiked through a glacier in Iceland and they kept my feel dry as a bone! They felt true to size.

Great sneaker. I've been wearing different versions of the Asics Nimbus for several years, but the newest version didn't feel like it had enough cushioning---plus my feet often got wet while walking on local trails in NE weather. These were comfortable right out of the box. I am usually an 8-8.5, and I had to size up to the 9 to get the right fit (the 8.5 was not deep enough in the toe box when I inserted my custom orthotic, but going up half a size fixed this).

Very comfortable! I just started running, & these shoes made the cut. I run on pavement, & the insoles are very accommodating. Brooks are the bomb! I ordered a half size up (7 1/2). Fit like a charm.

Brooks Ghost has been my athletic shoe of choice, so when I needed waterproof walking shoes for a trip I turned to the GTX version. I did find them slightly narrower than the regular Ghosts, so I went up a half size for better fit with thicker socks. I would have preferred traditional eyelets for the laces instead of the loops - a minor irritation.

This is the third pair of Brooks Ghost Gore Tex shoes that I purchased from Zappos.They are the most supportive comfortable long lasting shoes I own. Also the customer service is always exceptional and friendly. Zappos could teach other companies the value and meaning of true customer service. Thanks Zappos!

I don't often write reviews but these shoes deserve it. I own several pairs of Brooks Ghost shoes and love them. These are especially nice because they are more water resistant than most. I have had 3 foot surgeries and a knee replacement. I have very thin feet. It is extremely hard for me to find a comfortable supportive shoe. These come in a narrow width, and have great arch support. They are fabulous shoes. I wear a 9 or 9.5 depending on the shoe. In the Brooks I wear a 9.5.

Very happy with my Brooks, this is my second pair. Mostly walk outdoors. Classes at the gym. I wore my last pair until they had holes! Lightweight, and good support. I had foot surgery and have some pins and a plate on my toes, these shoes are very comfortable.

I ordered the GTX to replace my Ghost 5. Great looking shoe, but unfortunately, I have to return. Living in MN, the regular Ghost gets kind of breezy in cooler months, so though I would try the GTX version. Lately, I have needed a wide in most shoes, but the GTX only comes in standard width, but gave it a try. Would definitely be a keeper if available in a wide width.

These are my best athletic shoe - I like a big toe box (my feet are claustrophobic) these are perfect. These shoes provide a great overall support; great for running on street pavement; feel a little clunky on a treadmill; The color is amazing. I plan to purchase another pair soon. Runs just a little bigger than most brands but I feel are more true to size than other brands. I am 62 YO but feel this shoe would be great for the avid runner as well as walker - any age. I love this shoe!

These are the best shoes every! They are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned, especially on my healed broken leg with some sometimes achy hardware. Goretex is not too hot, but adds the huge bonus of being waterproof. The color combination and style of these shoes is unbeatable compared to other really chunky and too much like hiking style shoes that have the Goretex lining. I am a 9½ in all shoes I own, but the 10 fits perfectly in these. Big thumbs up.

I needed a pair of running shoes that were waterproof because I run through the grass with my dog. These hit the mark! Very comfortable and cushiony. My previous pair of Brooks were the glycerine, and I'm just as happy with these. They also support and protect my injury-prone feet! My only gripe is the lacing system is a bit difficult. The laces don't run through the eyelets easily and tend to get twisted. Otherwise, I love 'em! Note: I ordered one size up than what I wear in regular shoes.

I have a wide foot in toe area., high instep & narrow heel. Me & Donald Duck, right? These Brooks Ghost 8's fit great, feel great, & I love them. I'm a walker & golfer, & these are wonderful for both. Am also 69 yrs old. (Women's golf shoes, by the way, are torture!). Customer service is awesome!

These Brooks Ghost 8 GTX are the cutest waterproof tennis shoes for running available. Competitors shoes are primarily grey, black, and tan - boring! So glad I found these! They are very comfortable!

Best shoes I have ever worn. Extremely cushioned. Great to walk/run in.
