Bad design! Because they taper in above the heel, it makes it very hard to squeeze your foot in if you have high arches. There are no pull tabs or anything to help wrestle them up. I tried a long handles shoe horn and it just wouldn't let the top of my foot pass through. If I try really hard, I can get them on and then they're comfortable, but I can tell that I will case damage to the boot if I keep doing this. I'm so bummed because they fit well once you get in there. I'll add that I do have wide feet - but that didn't seem to be an issue. My wider foot (right) was actually easy to put on (must have a lower arch on that side) and my normal size left foot that can fit in regular width shoes was the one that couldn't fit through the boot. Boo!

LOVE these boots! I have no trouble getting them on and off as others have stated. They are comfortable and not too hot. I am typically an 8 1/2 in regular footwear but wear a 9 to a 9 1/2 in running shoes. I wear an 8 1/2 in this boot but a 9 in the SOREL slimpack riding boot. Hope this is helpful to someone.

I love this boot. At first, I also had difficulty getting the boot on, but with the help of a bootjack, the boot slipped right on. After a few wearings, I no longer needed the jack. Sorel tends to run small, so I usually order a half to full size up. If you live in super cold climes, this not the boot for you, but for me, in NJ, it works.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!! This is my first review on Zappos and when these arrived I felt I needed to leave a review after seeing quite a few negative reviews for them. I ignored the negative reviews and I am VERY glad I did. They fit in my usual size and slid on perfectly with no trouble whatsoever. They look great and have a wonderful warm felt liner which will be perfect for running errands and such for our snowy Vermont winter. Please ignore the negative reviews for these boots and give them a try!

I love them stylish but rugged. only issue is they are no easy to slide my feet into. I have a high arch, and I struggled a bit.

Liked the boot. I had plenty of room in the right boot once I got it on but I was unable to get the left boot on my foot. This was due to the curve at the back of the boot above the heel. The left boot seemed to have more of a curve than the right. Shame, I liked them.

Great cold weather rain/slush boot. I tried the lower height Hunter boots first, but the top rubbed on my calf in just the wrong place. The slightly lower height of these is much more comfortable. Foot bed is also nice & they keep my feet dry walking my dog in a field of puddles!

These boots are super light weight and comfortable. They slipped on very easily, even with heavier socks. I am an 8.5, and it's the perfect fit for me. Will be getting a lot of use out of these boots- rain and snow.

I love this boot, but seriously could not get it on my foot unless I was barefoot! So sad- had to return them.

I love that this boot can go from totally casual (gym clothes) to an evening out (leather leggings) and is pretty easy to get on and off. I've only had them for 10 days and have been wearing them a ton. I'm glad I got the black, as they go with everything. They're warm enough for winter days in Maine around the ski mountain and won't be too hot for muddy/rainy afall/Spring days too.

I have worn the HECK out of these boots already and they've held up VERY well. I agree with those saying they're a struggle to get on. I ordered them a 1/2 size up thinking I'd wear them often with thick socks (which I have) and they fit perfect!! But the thicker the sock, the bigger the struggle. Nothing I can't handle. So comfortable. Love them.

My husband bought me a pair of these boots for my birthday. A week later, I put them through the test - a visit to the pumpkin farm after a week of solid rain. These boots performed well! I stayed comfortable and my feet stayed dry. They hosed off nicely after being coated in mud - I only used ONE paper towel to get some stubborn mud to move. I didn't slip and my feet don't hurt. Now, some specifics. As other reviews state, these are hard to get on. That's a FEATURE, not a bug. Trust me, you want them to be somewhat difficult to get on and off so that your boots don't come off your feet when you sink in the mud. There's enough room in these that you can wear pretty thick socks. The ankles are just barely wide enough to tuck a pair of skinny jeans into. These are a fantastic boot and I will be a repeat customer. Now, to see how they do over the winter!

They fit really well, but I'd definitely suggest going up a half size with a thicker sock. Very comfortable fit! The color is much more green than brown though, so I ended up returning them.

Awesome boot. I wear a 9 in the Sorel tall slim back, but a reviewer said this one was true to size. Definitely agree. The 8.5 fit was perfect. Very stylish, comfortable, and a trusted brand.

I have never written an online review for anything, ever. I had to for these boots though. I ordered them late Monday and they were delivered before 5pm the next day. I read (and reread) other reviews and was anxious about fit. It's perfect. I had no trouble getting the boots on the very first time - none at all. I ordered my regular size, 8.5. They are more comfortable than I expected and cuter than rain boots or bulky winter boots. Because they're Sorels I know they will last for many years. They are EXACTLY what I was looking for!

I love these boots! They are cute and completely functional. Fit perfectly and I had no problem pulling them on. Super comfy from first wear. Great arch support. Very warm too.

First, do not go up a size on these. They really are true to size. Yes, they're difficult to get on at first: use a shoe horn or simply stand up while putting them on. As others have said, the toe bed is a bit larger than expected, but seems ok with thicker socks. Otherwise they're super comfy and cute.

Very comfortable and cute. I ordered my regular size 7 and the fit was great. I have high arches and didn't have any problem getting them on. These have more of a shoe fit with some arch support than the old style Sorel boots.

Love love love these boots. I live in Amsterdam, often cycling around the city in the rain, and these are perfect to throw on yet keep some style. I bought my normal size (7) and do feel they are too big as my foot slops around a bit when walking. Not sure if this is because Sorels in general run a bit wide, or if I should have actually sized down. But, I was flying back to Europe the next day so didn't have the luxury of time to order a 6.5 for comparison. The good news is I don't seem to have the issue of getting them on like others have reported.

I love these boots. When I first got them they were a little stiff and it was hard to put my foot in. After about six times they were more flexible and so comfortable. I bought the same boots for my daughter and daughter-in-law and they love them as well. We live in New England and rain, sleet or a small amount of snow they are great.

I absolutely love these boots. After reading all the reviews I fully expected to have to return them as I have a high instep which seems to be problematic for a lot of people as far as fit is concerned. Either Sorel has changed the fit or I am just lucky because the boots fit perfectly and is incredibly comfortable and cute. My favorite!

I bought these 2 weeks ago and love them. I did size up a half size because of other reviews written about having a hard time getting on and off. I wish I hadn't done that, they are a little to big but I just wear a thicker sock. They are a great color and look great with jeans or leggings. I live in Chicago and had a very cold 15 degree day with snow and walked a few miles in these boots. My feet were not cold and the boots are completely waterproof. I was kinda surprised, pleasantly! Great purchase! I have 3 pair of Sorels, all amazing.
