This coat has done everything it's description said it would. It has handled this NYC winter w/o incident and I haven't felt the need to layer up underneath it. I do have two very minor issues that are more of an personal preference. First, I wish it was an inch longer in length. Second, I wish it had an inside pocket. Other than that, I've quite happy with my purchase.

This is my everyday go to work coat. After 2 years of heavy use it has stood up to the test of time. Comfortable in cooler weather (30F+) and warm enough to do quick outside work in cold weather (0F+). While the coat isn't rainproof, it will keep you dry until you can handle what needs handled and swap out your gear. If I could have one work coat from Columbia, this would be it. Looks VERY sharp when you put uniform patches and embroidery on it and the fabric doesn't snag or tangle on work gear that you may put over it (rigging or safety vests).

The jacket is light in weight but heavy in warmth! Great product!

I have always loved the Columbia brand, thank you for the tall sizes, as I am 6'4 I needed something longer. This jacket goes great with khakis, blue jeans, and even sweatpants. Great for staying warm and keeping out the cold wind!

The last time I purchased this jacket was two years ago in September. I have to say I wear this jacket every work day. It's the perfect soft shell jacket for everyday wear.

I am a big guy and the size scale is accurate based on the sizing chart provided. I absolutely love this jacket!!! I have 2 of them and they have replaced many of my older jackets. For weather below 30 degrees or rainy weather, I turn to my Columbia 3-in-1 jacket. I have been extremely impressed with all of my Columbia gear. Keep making the quality products and I will always be a customer!

Ordered this for my husband in 4X tall and fits well. Good quality and perfect for general wear during the winter. Looks nice for both casual and dressy.

I bought this jacket in the XLT size and was extremely satisfied! The length in the sleeves and body of the jacket is excellent. It fits much better that a regular XL size jacket, since it is offered in a Tall Size. I hope Columbia continues to make their products in Tall Sizes. I highly recommend this jacket!

I purchased my first Ascender soft shell last year. I instantly realized it was the best jacket purchase I ever made. So comfortable. Through three of the four seasons, I wore it. CONSTANTLY. I am a 6'4" and 280 lb male who loathes being cold ( yes I know that sounds abnormal). The XXL TALL fits me absolutely perfect. The first purchase recently served me beyond well in a record blizzard ( three weeks ago). Add that I did wear a lightweight vest as a layer. No wind chill and dry as could be. So all that being said I decided to buy another Ascender. The first was hooded so I thought I would buy one without. I just received my second jacket. I was hoping that when I tried it on it would be just as perfect. Well, it is. Thank you Columbia for inventing and making my perfect jacket. Please keep this one around and please do not change the sizing/ construction.

The jacket seems to be excellent in every way. Comfortable, warm, windproof, and quiet.

I'm 6'4" and have 37.5" arms with a 45" chest. Buying any coat or long-sleeve shirt that fits is difficult, if not impossible. I purchased the Ascender in Mens LT, and I could not be more pleased. The fit is athletic in the chest and through the waist, but wears easily with a hoodie underneath. Range of motion is surprisingly good for a jacket, not something I was necessarily expecting. I've only had the Ascender for about a month so I could not give 5 stars for quality as only time will tell - but the materials and stitching seem to be up to snuff. Thank you Columbia for your line of tall mens clothing.

This Jacket is flat out awesome. Light weight while keeping you warm. This is well worth the money and is multi functional. Can be a dressy jacket or can be a casual jacket as well.

So, My boyfriend tried on this jacket in the store and it was a tad too small on the arm length. So I ordered a size XL Tall. and it fit him perfectly! So I am happy with that.

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He is 6'2" with very long arms. I debated getting a 2XL, but went with the XLTALL. What a great fit. He likes how fitted it is, and that it is long enough for his arms. The jacket is warm, and cuts the wind out well. He doesn't have that odd gap between gloves and his jacket that would normally be the case. Great value and great product!

I found the medium size to run small, but all the other sizes ran true. Great quality workmanship and fabric. This is my new go-to everyday jacket. I bought 35 of them and had them embroidered with company logo and American flag and gave as gifts to our foreman.

He said its very comfy and he loves it. Im really glad I got it for him and its actually good for dressing up for dressing down.

don't have a lot of normal jackets mainly Fire ones, found these on your web site and now I have something that is warm, comfortable, and fits my big self (6' 7" 320lbs). thank you for offering quality products for big people!!!!
