I was looking for a jacket for bike riding on chilly days. This one has most of the comfort of a fleece with much better windbreaking. It's just what I needed. I'm 6' 6", and I appreciate the fact that, like other Columbia products, the tall size is actually tall rather than just a couple of inches longer than regular. My only quibble is that the unlined, close-fitting sleeves make it a little difficult to put this jacket on over a long-sleeved shirt.

I received my Ascender Soft Shell jacket and it is amazingly soft and very comfortable to wear. The jacket is not heavy and it is waterproof and windproof to keep you warm. Great jacket for my needs living in the South.

Looking for in a jacket. Not too thick, not too thin, just right. It holds up great in Sacramento Ca, But can it hold up in Vancouver BC... we will be putting this jacket to the test on 12/15/17

This jackets fits awesome, lightweight, and repels the rain, yet super warm for our ever-changing IL weather!

What can I say. This is a great fall jacket. Perfect for high 50's to 60. Haven't been rained on yet but it should work fine

Great jacket and value.

Perfect combination of light weight, provides warmth and wind blocking and the addtion of the closures at the wrist is well conceived and executed.

This jacket keeps you warm and comfortable and repells the rain.

Finding clothes in my size is hard. I have to shop online for most of the things I need. It was very nice to find a nice jacket with the fit I needed. The worst thing about shopping online, is hoping the things you buy fit and do not have to be return. I will be shopping for more things at this site.

This is the second one of these I purchased. Last year I purchased my first and really liked it. I don't like a bulky jacket and this does its job. the only reason I purchased a second was for the color. I also like the larger sizes this jacket comes in.

6' 6" 245 lbs and the XLT fits me well. Looks and feels good.

The jacket is very nice and fits well. The velcro cuff's will take a little to get used to, but it's a nice jacket.

It's long enough for tall man .light and soft .feels warm will see how it works when winter comes

Great product could not be happier

I live in the middle of the U.S., in the Ohio River Valley. As such we routinely get "4 seasons" of weather. This is the perfect jacket for my climate. It is an easy 2.5-3 season jacket. Warm enough, even in the coldest winter months, for a quick trip in/out of car or short exposure periods. Still not so stifling that you can't wear it in the "warmer" early fall / late spring. The fabric, though not "waterproof" provides ample water repellance for quick dash in/out of outdoors during rain. Its "dressy" enough to wear to work or out about town without looking typer technical. But it is hearty enough to wear on hikes/bikes of a reasonable distance. Simply perfect modern jacket for me.

Received this jacket today and tried it on immediately. Fits perfectly. I live in MT and was looking for something to keep me warm and protected, but not too hot. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Noticed a friend wearing this jacket. It had great lines and fit perfectly. So, I purchased one as a gift for a family member. He's a big guy and hard to fit, so I was thrilled to see the jacket was available in XL-Tall. He loved the jacket! Much to my surprise the jacket ran just a little big, but not enough to change sizes. The extra size will be helpful when accommodating sweaters, etc.

This is the third jacket i have owned like this. I have used them during michigan winters, fishing and hunting in wisconsin and Pennsylvania. I have alway been i pressed with the warmth and quality of the jackets. I ordered this jacket after a warranty claim on one of my older jacks and i could not be more impressed with the customer service and the new jacket.

This is my second ascender jacket. My first one is still inservice and holding up well for being worn almost daily for 3 years! I am 6'4" and 290lbs. This jacket fits perfect. The jacket is warm, comfortable and perfect for all 4 seasons!

I received this jacket as a Christmas gift and I have zero complaints. It fits great and is very warm, it also serves well as a rain jacket if you don't have one. I would tell anyone who is looking at this jacket to buy, to go ahead and get it you will not be disappointed. I normally wear a 3X but was bought a 4X because of ordering online and it still fits great.

This jacket is just enough for active days, but can be a great layer over or under other clothing. It isn't meant as a winter stand alone jacket, but it is wind resistant and water repellant. It is good for how I layer my clothes and it is easily packable.

LOVE this jacket. It is warm, comfortable, snug but not tight.. Thinking of buying one in another color.

This is a perfect jacket for 45-60 degree weather, lightweight, comfortable, and maintains body heat pretty well. Living in the South where it rarely gets below freezing, this jacket is very versatile, and still fashionable to wear in the office.

I bought this jacket for my Husband and he loves this jacket. I bought the men's tall since he is over 5'10" and likes the room he has in the arms. It's a great jacket for rain and cooler days. It washes well and has become one of his favorite jackets.
