They are adorable and very well made. My calves are 15 inches. I read all the reviews and keep seeing that they are narrow. My naked leg fits in them just fine. I just can't keep them knowing that I might want to wear them with pants :( I'm so sad to return them. Now I'll try the adjustable back! Good luck.

This style of Hunter is good for those who are petite (height) and have thin calfs. This is the 2nd pair that I have bought. Great quality, and worth spending the extra $ on this brand! If you are in between sizes, go down.

This is an incredible pair of original tour gloss boots; I love the comfort, the style, the appearance. These are really an awesome pair of gloss boots from Hunter. The review is a bit lengthy, but worth the read. So listen up future Hunter buyers. I’ve been a fan of the Hunter original tour gloss boots for a few years, and it only gets bigger for me. Sure, I wear them in public on dreary and rainy days, but that doesn’t make me out-numbered since I’m in a ladies style of boots (most people in my hometown can’t even tell). As a guy, I may get a few glances, looks, and even compliments on them. Whatever happens, I choose to wear Hunter because I want to be slightly different, maybe a little edgy than others, and show people I know how to properly take care of my feet on rainy days. Speaking of edgy, I think I was just that, and pushed it to the max for my latest purchase of ion pink gloss boots, size 11. Since I love to wear pink, I figured why not show it. I also know that pink is becoming the new black. So guys, if you love pink and are a little timid to wear it, got for it, forget the rest of the crowd, and stay true to what you wear. Ladies, do you like how I wear them and stay comfortable in my own skin? Hunter gloss boots has again delivered a quality product I will take care of for hopefully years to come. I don’t think the boots are going out of style, so everyone jump on the bandwagon and get a pair (regardless of color). If you need help with anything, ask me; I’d love to help you. I had read reviews saying if you were short (I'm only 5 feet tall) to order the kids size. I did, size 3, but they didn't come up high enough. After reading other reviews I ordered the Hunter tour boots in a ladies size 5 and they fit perfect! I have skinny calves and was worried they would be too big, but they weren't. I also ordered the socks in ladies size M, but it was too much sock for my legs. I returned those and ordered the kids socks in large. Perfect! Zappos refunded all my money for the returned items. I love the free shipping and free returns. Why order anywhere else!

These boots are slimmer than the Original. I could wear with leggings fine but over jeans is very tight. I like them and they don't feel as heavy as the Original High Gloss.

Since I had a few par of Hunter boots in college (and really liked to style them), I really wanted to get a pair in hunter green original tour gloss. When they arrived, I was more than surprised at what I saw. The boots looked really attractive and eye appealing. As a guy, since I own a few pair of Hunter boots in a size 10 (and my foot size is a men 10.5), I was pretty confident this size would fit me well, and I was right. The size 10 come to about a half an inch to my toe. (I don't think I have to wear them with thick socks, but I will if I have to). So my recommendation here for guys or ladies who want these boots is to do a little homework first and find out what size you really are. Hunter runs a little large in boot sizes, but that shouldn't stop you from owning a par of boots. If you feel confident in a purchase, you have the right to rock the look and style of these bad boys. I can't wait to splash in these in the rain. And if they get a hair muddy on the side, Hunter boot rubber buffer and boot shine come in handy when I clean my boots. All in all, this is a very good purchase and would recommend these to anyone!!!

I listened to advice to size down, however due to my high instep I had difficulty getting my foot through and needed to resize to my appropriate size. These boots look fabulous even after wear and tear. I live in upstate New York and with socks I can wear these boots no matter the season!

The Hunter Tour boots are perfect for a petite girl like me. I'm 5'0 tall with very thin calves. I have lots of trouble finding tall boots of any kind because my calves just usually swim in boots. I wanted Hunters for a long time, but the Hunter Originals just didn't fit me, and they were heavy. When I discovered the Tour boots - I went a little nuts! I owned a navy matte pair first, then Hunter would add a cute new seasonal color and I'd have to have it too! I have quite a few pairs and switch them out according to my outfit. I LOVE THEM! Every single time I wear them I get compliments - from women and men. My favorite was recently. Some random person called my Military Red pair -"SASSY". The Tour boots are super comfortable for me. They keep my feet dry and warm. and are super stylish and durable. It rains A LOT here in North Florida and I've worn them just about every day this winter. They pack well too, which is a huge plus! They have made rainy days so much more comfortable for me - and STYLISH! My husband loves them on me, and gets a kick when he sees me plow through and splash in puddles! I wear a size 5. They are a little roomy, but with the socks they fit perfect. I still wear them without the thick Hunter socks on occasion and they look and feel fine.

Fits a bit larger than the actual size but that's what makes them perfect and comfy. Especially because you can wear your thick socks.

I did return these boots because the size was slightly off, but I didn't consider insulating the inside of my boot. I had thought of that, I would have kept my order. As a male, I got these for two reasons: to show to other people I too can rock Hunter glossy boots, and I'm not afraid to wear something outside my comfort zone (its all about confidence). When I first got the color hunter green, they were gorgeous and extremely stylish. I couldn't wait to try them on. But, they were a little big for me. As a guy, I normally wear a size 10.5 in men's shoes. And with my Hunters I bought a size 11 (not knowing the size is an important thing to consider). After getting a pair with the correct size (11 in women's with the boots insulated), I found the boots to fit pretty well with enough room from my toes to the end of the boots while wearing them. I wish I would have kept my original order, but am very glad I found a proper solution for sizing.

Same Hunter quality that I'm used to. The color is adorable, the purple urchin, and the bliss is impeccable. I used the Hunter oil to keep them glossy and shiny.

My wife just loves these boots. No complaints here!!

I bought these for my daughter to take on a trip to a rainy climate, and they packed really easily! I own a few pairs of Hunters that aren't the 'tour' style and I was skeptical that these would condense down to a small flat mass for packing...But they did! I highly recommend this style of Hunter if you think you'll be packing your boots in a suitcase!

Bought my fiance the Hunter Original Tours in gloss black & she loves them. They are a slightly larger, but the purpose is to accommodate thicker winter/boot socks.

Love these boots. They are very lightweight and foldable. Bonus hunter bag is great for those days the rain disappears. I'm normally a 7.5-8 and purchased a size 7. I originally bought an 8 but the shaft was an inch taller from the 7 to the 8. Zappos was great to exchange them quickly for the 7. I can't wear a thick sock with the 7 but the shaft no longer hits my knees.

These are the most durable rain boots I've ever owned. Highly recommend.

I went for the tour because they can fold down and ultimately are much lighter. I work at at nature destination that these are good to do restoration in, but also look super cute going to the mall or downtown on dank or fall days. I will probably get another pair in matte. Make sure to get the spray with this to keep them looking good. Comfortable and true to size. I wear size 9 or 9 and a half and purchased the 9. Consider the thickness of the socks you like to wear when thinking about a size.

Finally Hunters that fit! I am 5.5 and tried the Hunter Original Refine Gloss first, the shaft was too long and they were digging into the backs of my knees, the size on these was true. I then tried the Hunter Original Back Adjust Gloss as these have a half inch shorter shaft than the refine (go down a size in this one), they were still too tall and were digging into the backs of me knees. Next I ordered a US size 7 and an 8 in Hunter Original Tour Gloss because the shaft is a shorter 15 3/4 inches. The size 7 was a tiny little bit too small in the foot and actually only about a 14 3/4 inch shaft. I'm keeping the size 8 with the 15 3/4 shaft and they look and fit great! They do not dig into the backs of my knees but still have that nice tall look.

I really like these boots. They'll look great with a pair of skinny jeans, just as I had hoped. I tried both an 8 and a 9, but finally ended up going with the larger size. I'd rather have the boot just a little loose and then be able to fill in as needed with a thicker sock.

I also bought these boots because I'm on the petite side 5' and wanted high boots that didn't go over my knees like the regular hunter tall boots. Because it is softer and slightly shorter than regular, I could get away with wearing without resorting to kids which have reflectors on them and are much shorter. The color military red is a perfect color red. I choose glossy over matte to lessen blooming that I've read about and I think in red, the glossy looks better. My calves are average size and I had no issues with fit. Since I'm a 5.5 shoe size, I sized down to 5 and fit nicely.

Feels true to size. My daughter is 5'2 so the shaft height on this is perfect. The Originals are too tall. These hit about 1" below her knee bend.
