I adore these. Bought them to take on a trip where luggage space is at a premium, and I couldn't possibly take a regular pair of boots. Normally I wear a 7.5; I ordered a 7 in these and am very glad I did. I'd have been swimming in an 8! Got great size advice, ordered in 5 minutes flat, and arrived the next day. Fantastic job Zappos!

I bought these for gorilla trekking in Rwanda and Uganda. I ordered a 5 and a 6. Normally in boots I'm a 6, especially with socks. I opened the size 5 first and was glad I did. Even with thick wool socks on, I had room to move my toes. These boots are light and pack easily in luggage. My first trek was just shy of 7 miles, on slippery, muddy terrain. At times, I was nearly knee-deep in mud, and I could hear the suction of the mud as I pulled my feet out, step by step. Those with hiking boots and gaiters were coated in mud after their hike. I could just wipe my boots down. Bwindi, in Uganda, was far steeper and the steep incline was dotted with gorilla poo. People struggled to get around it, but I could just trod right through it and hose the boots down later. The traction was excellent and the height on my leg was perfect (5ft4in). I wish they were not as expensive, but otherwise, I'm very happy with the purchase. Although they would not be warm, you could also wear these in snow as the traction is on par with snow boots. And, they look pretty good, too. Added bonus.

These are the ones! I tried to find something I liked that weren't made in China, but after 10 or more pairs from Le Chameau to Armani to even Gucci, these are the most comfortable and light weight. Not sure how they hold up over the long haul, but they are a solid piece around the foot instead of two halves (which even the higher end boots have a seam down the middle). If you don't like to Hunter logo, just roll down a tall pair of socks over the top. I wear a 9.5 but a 9 was a perfect fit even with socks.

These boots are beautiful. Love the color. I ordered a size smaller because of reviews, but I had to exchange for my regular size. I don't have wide feet. I wouldn't suggest going down. Especially if you want to wear the thick fleece socks. I wore regular socks and they were too tight.

Really loved these boots! They feel much lighter than the original, and they're just as well made. I'm usually a 6.5 and got a 6. I can wear them with socks, but I wouldn't double up or wear particularly thick ones. I tried the original in a 7 and was swimming in them, so I recommend going down if you're a half size.

Beautiful boots, beautiful color, but no space for my pants and boot socks around the calf. If your calf is muscular or just larger, you probably need the back adjustable strap. Needed to see it for myself. Now I know and will be returning them.

The color is a nice rich red, a little darker than on my monitor, which looks like cherry red. I wear a 7.5 or 8 in shoes normally. For this boot I tried both the 7 and 8, and kept the size 7. The 8 was very roomy and could have worked with thick socks, but the 7 fit better in the heel, with 'just' enough room in the toes. They do have a bit of extra rubber hanging around in the ankle but shouldn't be an issue.

Love these boots! They are so stylish and the navy blue patent is perfect! I am a wedding planner and recently purchased these for a rainy wedding setup. We typically dress business casual for setup, and these were nice enough to wear for that. I get so many compliments on these! Bring on El Nino so that I can wear these as much as possible!
I wear an 8 1/2, purchased a 9. They are roomy but comfortable. I feel that an 8 would have been too tight.

These boots are a classic red that look amazing with both black and navy outerwear. I initially ordered the pillar box shade and they were too coral for my liking. I wear a 9 and ordered a 9. The fit is great. I will definitely order liners to lengthen the season for these awesome looking boots.

I have the original talls in black matte, I loved these even more (military red gloss), unfortunately they're going back. Comparing size 10 to size 10 (true to size for me), the Tours are imperceptibly shorter but much narrower. I didn't think it was an issue because my old originals aren't tight but the Tour's are uncomfortably snug bare-legged and way too tight over jeans. They are much lighter than the originals but otherwise the footbed feels the same. I wish they would work for me, I think I'd love them even more than the ones I already have.

These rain boots are simply stunning! The color is a true, brilliant red and the glossy exterior makes is perfect. I ordered my regular size and it fit with socks but with room and are very comfortable. I assume once I wear them with boot socks, they will be comfortably snug. Now all I need is cooler temperatures and RAIN!

Love these boots! I have been wanting a pair for awhile and I am so glad I finally bought them! They are comfortable and brighten up a rainy day. The opening is tight so it keeps the rain out, but it could be difficult wearing them with bulkier pants. As for sizing, I usually wear an 8 1/2, but the 8 fits perfectly fine.

I am usually between a size 6½ and 7. I ordered a 7 thinking that I would have a little room for thicker socks or something. My feet were swimming in them. There was too much room. They run really big. I returned the 7 and reordered a 6. They fit so much better. I still have a little room but think a size 5 would be way too small. I am 5'7" and they hit right below my knees. They are really perfect. Yes, they are a bit pricey, but I decided to invest in these versus cheap ones that might fall apart after one season. I figured paying a little more for the Hunter quality and reliability was going to be worth it. Also, they are more stylish than many other rain boots out there. I would buy another pair in a different color - although I would have to save for it.

I'm absolutely in LOVE with these boots! Just got them in and I won't take them off! I got my regular size, size 8 and I think they fit fine, I have a little room but nothing uncomfortable, I think if I went with the size 7 it would be to small. First I ordered the hunter tall but they were just a tad to tall it hit my right under my knee, when I sat down I could feel it in my leg crease. And I'm 5'6. I sent those back and got these and they fit perfect! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Love these boots. I'm fairly petite (5'3") and these fit great, not too tight on my calf at all. I got the size 5 and it fits well. Definitely seems like they run big. I get compliments on them wherever I go by complete strangers. I think the glossy finish makes them fun.

I had ordered 2 pairs of the Hunter Original Tall boots, but found them to be too tall. I'm 5'3" and those boots cut into the middle of my knee and looked awkward. I returned those and ordered these, which are a much better height. I'm normally a size 7.5 in shoes and I rarely ever have to size up to a 8. So after reading many reviews about Hunter boots, I originally ordered the Talls in a size 7. Unfortunately, they were too small when I wore them with thick socks or the Hunter boot socks. The Tours in the size 8 are perfect for me to wear with thick socks in the snow and are comfortable enough to walk around in all day. It's unfortunate that these boots don't include the Hunter 1 year warranty, but they seem to be pretty solid, high quality boots!

Am 5’0” with a size 5.0 foot. I read a lot of reviews and hoped the 15 3/4” shaft height of the Original Tour would work. They dig into the back of the knee going upstairs. I’m a subway/bus commuter and walk a lot, so I can see the digging being a pain in the, well, the legs. With jeans on, they’re snug in the calf, so I doubt a thick knee high sock would fit. Overall, just a bit too tall for me. ??

I believe other buyers stated these run slightly large and I tend to agree. I didn't feel the need to return them although probably a half size smaller than my regular size would be a bit better. They are narrow around the calf so that's another reason I kept the size I ordered; was concerned they would be too tight at the top. I'm slender so no problem but I could see these being a challenge for girls with more athletic calves. Sturdy, great color, functional.

After spending an entire month trying to figure out what type, size and color of hunters I should buy, I feel like I owe it to reviewers and to all the hesitant buyers out there(like myself a month ago) to write a review. I am 5'4, I have short legs and slim calves. I am a true size 8, however I have wide feet so I ordered the Original Tours in my normal size despite others recommending to go a size down. Sure enough after getting them the next day, the boots were too tall for my short legs. However, they felt perfect on my feet with enough room to wear my thick winter socks. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get over the fact that the top of the boots scraped the edge of my knees every time I walked so I exchanged the pair for a size 7 which gave me the perfect height I was looking for. Hopefully after breaking them in, these would give me a little bit of space to wear my winter socks but as of the moment the boots fit me just enough to make it comfortable, but, anything thicker than the regular boot socks would be too tight. In conclusion, if you are a true size, have long legs, and wouldn't mind that extra space for thick socks, I would suggest going for your normal size. If like me you are more on the shorter side, I would go a size smaller although you might have a very snug fit if you have wide feet.

Too big/too wide/hard to walk in. but after I tried several socks and wore them for a few hours they were already slightly scuffed so I cannot return. So will deal with it!

Can't wear the boots. If you don't have small legs, then don't get the boot. The color was beautiful, but no good when you can't wear them.

I thought the color would be more raisin rather than brown. Also fit tightly around calves (mine are not big) which meant I could not tuck a pant leg in or wear a legging with them. The buckle strap on the side does not adjust. For looks only.

Had to return them. They just do not work for short people. I think you would have to be at least 5'6" for it not to hit your knees. I think the company is missing out on a large population group.
