I haven't had the coat long but I must say I am really happy with it so far. It looks expensive and well worth the price. The fur on the hood is lovely however I wish the hood was slightly larger as it can be restricting with certain hairstyles. I haven't worn this coat in extreme weathers but so far I have been extremely warm and sometimes hot when wearing it, I also wore on the plain which can get quite cold and I was sweating. I ordered a small which fits well, I usually order an XS so I recommend ordering a size up. It also soaks up light rain well and doesn't get soaked, I'm not sure how it will do in extreme wet conditions.

I'm happy it super light but still warm. Just not a fan of the hood. The zipper on it is odd

It's warm but isn't enough for very cold weather like Boston's weather in Jan and Feb. very stylish and good quality.

I picked this up in a small black and it fits well (I'm 5'7", 125lbs, broad shouldered). I don't feel restricted when walking around the city and hiking (it's surprisingly lightweight) even when wearing a heavy sweater. The hood doesn't obscure your forward vision, and the down fill was perfect for the 20-40*F temp range. And it just looks nice. The only things I'd like to see improved is maybe a cinch or elastic sleeve opening and larger pockets (hard to reach into them wearing bulky gloves and mittens).

I really like this jacket. I travel a lot and really needed something warmer that wouldn't be a pain to hall around. Very light weight, comfortable, and warm enough for those east coast trips. My only complaint is that I wish I would have ordered a size smaller. Compared to other north face jackets it's a little big but still a great jacket

I usually wear a large, but this jacket felt a little snug, especially if I wanted to wear layers underneath. I sized up, and love it!

Warm jacket, cuts the wind. Love the fur hood and being able to remove the hood if wanted. Bought one for my daughter.

great for everyday winter coat!

Not using it because i had to return it; the one i ordered was a bigger size according to North Face recommendations. I couldn't find the red in my size, so...

Very comfortable and warm!

I bought this jacket got my teenage daughter and she loves it! Not to heavy or puffy but warm enough for Chicago weather!

Very comfortable and lightweight and the fit is flattering. Not bulky but still warm. The only thing I would change is that the fur on the hood kind of hangs down over the hood so it is hard to see when you are wearing it.

It keeps you very warm. Only one con, there are a lot of feathers come out.

I wanted a warm stylish coat and this one is perfect.

This jacket is a good late fall/ mild winter jacket. It's not appropriate for the subzero temps we get in MN, where we can see -30 for at least a while every winter, however, for commuting or short term wear during milder days, it's nice to have a lighter weight jacket that looks and feels comfortable in mild wind. I recommend this jacket for those times.

Beautiful red jacket; wish it were a bit longer and a tad looser but it looks great. Can't judge winter performance in October but I am willing to re-review later. Service in the Victor NY store was excellent. Thanks again!

This is a beautiful coat. The fabric has a nice soft feel, and it is well made. I was unhappy with the fit around the waist and hips, so I sent it back. I am only 5'1", so I think the torso of the coat was too long for me. I'll have to find something petite.

This is a great jacket, fits well and is warm, but not too bulky. I ordered a small and a medium to compare sizes, the medium was too big and the small fits snug, but I decided to keep it. The only issue I have is the zippers. They catch on the inside of the jacket every time I zip it up and the pockets do the same. Not really sure how you would fix this, but I like the jacket so I will live with it. I am 5'1" and weigh 127lbs. for sizing.

Beautiful color (shady blue), but seems to run small. I am usually a L to XL. After using the fit finder, I ordered an XL, as was suggested. I tried this coat on with a thin long-sleeved t-shirt on and it zipped easily, but was snug. I should say that I am VERY hard to fit, as I am five feet tall, heavy, and carry most of my weight in my midsection. Also, at five feet tall, the sleeves fit perfectly. On an XL. So if you are a tall woman who would normally wear an XL, the sleeves on this are likely too short for you. Because, as I mentioned, I carry most of my weight in my midsection, I expected that the tapered part would be a bit more form fitting. However, I did not think that an XL would make it impossible for me to comfortably put on a sweater under it. Shoulders and chest fit well, and if not for the inward taper, the coat would have fit pretty well. The coat does seem to be VERY warm. I tried it on inside and couldn't keep it on for very long. My advice: Go up a size. Worthwhile purchase if you are on the tiny side. Advice to North Face: Larger women need to be warm in the wintertime, too. And we would really like it if the nice colors were available to us as well.

I really like this jacket. I love all the things it's NOT...not too puffy, not too heavy, not too shiny. I wanted a warm but light weight coat for our TN weather. We get cold days and nights but nothing too extreme. My only "complaint" would be that a few of the feathers shed from the coat, but I can live that.

I bought static guard, I put in the dryer on air with a fabric sheet. Nothing seems to be getting rid of the static.

I really like how stylish & lightweight it feels and how warm it keeps me even in - degree snow weather. I dislike that that the zipper zips up the material and gets stuck sometimes. I also dislike the fur flap on the hood not being secured down and sometimes falls in my view. I don't get why there isn't something to hold it down when the wind blows.
