I bought this jacket for a trip to Aspen- but also travel to Tahoe frequently and this is the perfect mix of style and practicality. It kept me very warm but I also did not feel like a snowball with no shape in it. The fur is removable which was a great feature for me as I wore it both ways.

My daughter loves this jacket. Can layer underneath without the jacket feeling too snug/tight.

Living in MN I needed a warm down coat that was stylish and had a hood. This jacket fit the bill. I am not curvy and generally North Face coats has skinnier arms and torsos than other brands. This jacket fit with just enough room for a thick sweater underneath. The hood was important for those windy days. I've worn it maybe 10 times so far and some feathers have started to poke through. The only thing I don't like about this jacket is the elastic they used in the cuffs. There is a ring of elastic inside the fabric at the end of the sleeve and it makes the jacket fabric a little scratchy due to the tension. Other than that, I highly recommend this jacket.

My item was finally delivered this morning (after a long 3 day wait LOL) and I couldn't wait to tear into the box! I ordered the Quail Grey color and man, is it gorgeous!! Much like the stock photo, it's almost a silvery/purplish color depending on which light you see it in. I used the size finder and it determined that I needed a medium. I am 5'6 and 130lbs with a longer torso & broad shoulders. It's not super tight or bulky, but with just enough room to wear a sweater or hoodie underneath. I wish the sleeves were about 1" longer (or had the extra elastic comfort cuffs w/thumb holes like the Columbia brand has) so that when I raised my arms they didn't ride up as much as they do, but it's definitely not a deal breaker. The length of the coat falls just below my hip bones in front and covers about half of my butt in the back. I wore it today on my lunch break in mid-high 30* weather and it kept me warm, so much in fact while driving I had to shut my seat warmers and heat off! I can't speak for the durability or pros/cons of this yet since I just got it a few hours ago but I sure hope this coat holds up for many years to come!

Very warm jacket. I love it; however, I don't like black fur hood. So, I remove the fur. I wear it without the fur. thanks zappos for fast shipping and low price.

Sizes Run Small. I mentioned this in an earlier review. However, after returning the coat to a nearby store, I just had to mention how fantastic the customer service is. Super nice people, and now that I have the correct size, the coat looks great! Highly recommended.

I cannot stress the warmth this coat provided. I wrote it in NYC during the winter. I took my dog for a walk during a slight snowstorm where temperatures were in the low 20's. My legs were cold but I was sweating. North Face came through!

I got this jacket from my husband for Christmas. I absolutely love the jacket. Mostly bc it's a thin puff jacket and keeps you so warm ! I usually fall between a medium or large , my husband got me a large greatfully I'm glad he did. I'm a 36DD on top so it fit great. if I got a medium it would have not fitted up top and the fit a little more fitted on the lower half would have been better for me though. It covers ur bum which is a plus and The hood though is a little big but overall it's a great jacket.

I really like this coat. I've used it multiple times already as the weather has gotten really cold. It only goes down to my hips, as the picture shows so my butt and legs are still chilly but everywhere the coat covers, I'm comfortable. It's pretty warm, even walking in windy 30 degree conditions. I think it also looks really nice. I'm 5'4, about 135 and the medium fits nicely. I think a small would be too tight across the shoulders. There's a little room for some layering but not a big bulky sweatshirt or anything. Bonus: somehow the hood stays up without falling too much when I'm walking.

So warm and comfortable. Love how big the hood is.

I bought this jacket for my trip to Denver, and might i say that this jacket is amazing! i wore it to the rocky mountains during the winter and was not cold one bit. Not only is it warm but its so cute! i definitely recommend this to any one that lives in colder states or even if you live in Texas like me!

I needed to return the Large for an XL ONLY because I have a longer torso than most woman, but either way I LOVE this coat and I will never buy from anywhere else. Definitely bought my kids north face and recommended a bunch of friends at work to buy this coat! Amazing quality

I love this coat. It fits great and keeps me very warm during school recess. It does great keeping the wind out and it is very flexible and comfy!

Great jacket for everyday use - light enough to not feel bulky, but warm enough to shut out the cold.

Arrived on time as usual. This coat will keep you warm in extreme cold and wind. Nothing like it if you want to stay warm at the same time you want or need to be outside in the cold and wind. DO NOT wear it in the car unless you have a really good air conditioner! You will be pulling over to take it off.

I get EXTREMELY cold in the winter. This jacket is not restricting, stylish and keeps me warm! Love it!
