For years I have worn custom orthotics, which makes it difficult to find shoes that fit well and support my arches. Alas, the ASICS Gel-Equation 8 does just that. Once again, I am a happy Zappos customer!

I always use asics, and this shoe was super comfortable right out of the box. I also always use Zappos so I can pay less and still get the value I need. I do all sorts of activity, and these shoes are great for everything and reasonably priced.

I was recently diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and these have provided excellent arch support at the gym and around town. I plan to wear these to run my first 5k in May!I went up a size because my feet swell when I work out but otherwise I think these run true to size.

Runs small. Need to order 1.5-2 sizes larger than your normal shoe size.

I ordered these and the ASICS Gel-Evate™ 3. Loved them both. I returned the Gel-Evate 3 ONLY BECAUSE they are very similar to a pair I already have. Very comfortable and great sole for walking. But I wanted something lighter for the gym, and the Gel-Equation 8 fit the bill. They have a thinner, more pliable sole while the others have a thicker, somewhat heavier feel to them. These shoes feel lighter but I don't think they'd offer as much padding in the foot bed for heavy walking. The heel is snug, sort of like it's cupped around the foot whereas the others didn't.

Just what I expected: great. My podiatrist recommended Ascis to me many years ago and I do not wear any other brand. Feels like it was made for me. Worth every cent for these great shoes.

I finally found a shoe that fits! I have wide feet and take a size 12 and this is the only sneaker I can find! Great for the gym and boot camp!

I've had these sneakers for just a short time, but I really like them! They are comfortable and great for walking I had to take a half size bigger because they fit better Also, I like the pink and purple stripes and bright, purple shoelaces!

Just received these shoes. Felt great right out of the box. I ordered up a size from what I normally wear.

Put the shoes on and took a 3 mile walk. Wonderful! Did you know that Asics stands for the Latin that means "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body"? :) Great shoe! Great fit!

Used these for my daily, long, dog walks both on trails and sidewalks. I have Morton’s Neuroma an feel no pain in this shoe. For the miles I’ve put on them these past 4 months they are holding up great. Tread is looking solid, no peeling off of the sole layer. I’ve been buying 8’s but recently realized I am a 7.5 Wide and ASICS makes wide. This correct fit cups my heel and supports my arches perfectly. They are better looking than other walking shoes but outdated in the styling. For comfort, fit and durability 5stars.

comfy but toe box is crunching my toes. Returning for half size larger - 5-1/2 instead of original 5. Hoping it will work. Holds my foot snugly which I like. Would prefer a bit more padding though in the sole. I am an under pronator heavy set mature woman.

These were for my mom and she loves them! She normally buys men's shoes and I was so happy to talk her into these.

Great shoe for supinators/under-pronators. I have plantar fasciitis and I supinate. I'm constantly wearing holes in the outer edges of my shoes. I bought these shoes for work, and I've put them through the ringer. I'm an auto-body tech/painter. They lasted about two months. Now I'm buying two more pairs. One for work, and one for working out. There aren't many options for supinators with wide feet. I wouldn't say I love these shoes, but they get the job done. PROS: Helps with supination. Available in wide width. True to size and width. CONS: extremely limited color/style options.

Overall these sneekers are good and fit a little snug compared to other addidas I currently have. Laces are too short and cannot thread last hole which I need for better heel support so. We'd to find longer laces.

Asics Gel Equation 8, size 9 1/2 - it's great to find this size, which a lot of actual stores don't carry. This is a well padded shoe, wide in the forefoot, fairly narrow in the heel, which works well for me. I use it for walking, mostly on paved surfaces. I hope to get a year out of them, at about 20-30 miles per week, so we'll see. I appreciate a "heel cut", where there is a notch in the sole between forefoot and heel part, which if you are off-pavement helps prevent sliding downhill. Saucony has gone with continuous sole, which is too bad, in my case. Also appreciate the higher heel - flat doesn't do it for me, although it is very popular now. I'm happy with this shoe.

I needed sneakers that would give me a bit more support because I am currently overweight with ankle instability. I also underpronate, and wanted that corrected, as well. These sneakers are very supportive and comfortable...except that they do feel a tad narrow, especially the right shoe. After a while, I become very aware that these shoes will need to be broken in, as they start to feel very tight and my right foot does cramp a bit. I'm positive once I start running in these bad boys this issue will resolve itself, but just a heads up in case you have wide feet!

Very cute and really wanted to keep these, but a 7.5 was too small once I put in my orthotic. Usually I am a 7 and I order a 7.5 in athletic shoes because I like to use the orthotic for better support. I did order one Asics shoe in an 8 and that one works.

As soon as I got these I went for a nice walk. Happy to report they are indeed cushioned and wide enough for my feet (wear 8W in regular shoes, always 8.5M in sneakers). Unfortunately they are not super supportive and I need extra arch support, so I had to add a partial insole. Good thing they have removable insoles.

Had to order a size larger than I used to wear. These shoes are wide (thank you!) and very comfortable. Nice to have room for my strange toes.

these are very nice and somewhat comfortable and I have worn Asics for years but when I tried on the Hokas... the comfort was far superior.

These are very comfortable, true to size and have a nicely shaped and sized toe box. Lots of spring and bounce back in the step. Great as a teacher, walking 2+ miles every day.

I love Asics, and they typically fit me about the same (size 8 M width), but these fit more snug in the width. I would say if you have a more narrow foot these would be great. For me, they're going back!

Excellent arch support! Very comfortable. It could use a tiny bit more padding, but it's not bad.

They look good, but too narrow. I wear a 12 wide and the ASICS wide fits like a medium width. I will be returning these.
