I really wanted to like the jacket. I can tell it is made well and keeps me warm in the cold. However, with my petite frame, the jacket does not sit well on my body. When zipped all the way and I sit down with my phone in the pocket, it is awkward and uncomfortable. The jacket is also wayy too big on the top that it makes me look like Superman. :(

So disappointed that this coat (once again) has a velcro closure. I was really hoping you would add snaps. The Velcro is cheap looking and scratchy.

If you want the fit like the model in the photo, please please please choose a smaller size than usual.

It’s longer than pictured which I didn’t like. But style and comfort is ok. I got it for a sale price so I’ll keep it.... but going back and forth to keep it or not.

The structure of this coat feels really strange. The red color is on point. It is extremely long for 5'4 person. The exterior material feels cheap. I returned this coat and continue to search for one that fits. I do agree with other reviews that TNF products are going downhill. The quality is not the same as 2-3 years ago.

I was looking for something warm but not bulky. This coat ended up looking more bulkier on me than on the model. Sad to say I didn't keep the coat and still on the hunt for a more flattering looking one.

I am always a size medium in women's. I ordered a medium and it was HUGE. The length of the coat was not described in the details either. I wasn't expecting a dress for a coat. I returned it highly disappointed. I ordered a different coat 2 months before this one. Size medium. Waist length. True to size. I was expecting the same quality and description to match up to product. That's why I was so deflated, discouraged and disappointed.

It's a great jacket, but I don't like that north face decided to change the material of the jacket. Should've left it like how it was in 2019. It gets dirty easily with the suede like material on the jacket

I am 5'1 and this jacket was massive on me, came well past my knees and super boxy. It was very warm though.

This ran at least one size too big and is very long so I returned it.

I was so excited for this jacket but when I put it on the collar of the neck seemed too tight of a fit. It also doesn't sit well unless you zip it all the way up to the neck. The collar isn't soft but rigid and made me feel like I was chocking.

I like it but I had to returned it because of the unhealthy odor from a moldy smell.

It's a warm, beautiful jacket whose functionality and appeal is destroyed by the velcro strips over the zipper. It kept snagging fabric and lint, and those scratches to the skin from the velcro are terribly painful. A $$$ jacket spoiled by cheap velcro. NF needs to explain why adult jackets have velcro. But if you are not bothered by the velcro, go for it. The AP fits larger than the AP II which is discontinued I believe. I had to exchange my regular S for XS.

I really wish I didn't buy this coat! Unfortunately I passed the return period when I realized that I hated it, and therefore I'm stuck with it for now. The Velcro is extremely annoying and likes to get caught on everything (especially sweaters). The neck is too stiff and chokes me when fully zipped, so I need to leave the top 3-4" of the jacket openwhich means my face/neck are out in the cold. The hood is also poorly designed. With the fur attached I could not see anything around me (nor did it stay on my head correctly), but when I zipped the fur off the hood it just became useless. Not sure why they even give you the option to zip off the fur since it only leaves you with HALF the hood and is completely not practical! I know that North Face can do better than this! Very disappointing.

Purchased this at the end of last winter and initially loved how warm the jacket was. However... the feathers are constantly falling out and poke through all over the inside of the jacket (not just the seams), which can be painful at times when the sharp ends stick into your skin. I have always owned down jackets and never had this issue before, both with the North Face and other brands as well. It is so bad that I've given up on wearing this (very expensive) jacket altogether. This isn't the quality I have come to expect from this brand and I am upset I spent so much money on a coat I can't comfortably wear less than one winter after purchasing.

This was my 3rd arctic parka and it was returned. It was unfortunately given a massive downgrade from previous designs. Feels cheap. Zipper is plastic. Velcro!? Bring back the snaps! Restrictive in the shoulder area. They completely missed the mark with the cuffs - so scratchy. The logo used to blend in with the coat and now it's all you can see. I feel like a walking advertisement. No longer worth the $$. So bummed!

I have loved the North Face parka for 12 years and was excited to purchase my third. Unfortunately, they've replaced the snaps with VELCRO instead. It's noisy, it snags on sweaters, and it's impossible to take off without waking up my baby from a nap. Whose idea was this? Why ruin a good thing? Please bring the snaps back!!!

Absolutely love this jacket, I just wish it fit taller women better. I am 6 feet tall and have a longer arm span. A women's XL fits me in most things. I got an XL in this coat and unfortunately the sleeve length was way too short and it was a little tight in the shoulders. It fit fine everywhere else. I tried the XXL and the sleeve length was better but the rest of the coat felt big. Sadly I've dealt with this my whole life because I'm so tall. I just end up settling with men's coats. But overall it is a great coat, but not so great for taller women.

Exchanged the small for an XS and it was still too big, especially in the top/neck area. Just not the right fit.

I received the black coat- really cute until I put it on and noticed the grey hood was PURPLE not grey. So ugly

I purchased the Arctic Parka 6 years ago and this version is NOT the same. So disappointing. It's boxy and restricts movement. The inner cuffs of the sleeves are scratchy and bulky. The logo used to be discreet and now it's gigantic and cheapens the look. Overall, the coat is poor quality. Please bring back the older version :(

The third parka I've purchased from here - having loved the first two - was a huge disappointment. Heavy, non-breathable, poorer design. It will be the last jacket I ever purchase from TNF.

Really tight in the chest and really loose everywhere else. Not a comfortable or flattering fit. Didn't wear outside to test warmth but seemed okay.

I was really hoping to love this jacket, but was disappointed by the velcro seal along the zipper and so made a return. Might be personal preference, but the choice of velcro seems cheap compared to snaps and in my experience it can get caught easily on mittens and sweaters. The fur on the hood also was disheveled and misshapened after being mailed. Maybe this wouldn't be an issue if purchased in store. It looked nice when the hood was down, but when up it looked odd and unable to reshape. I thought about taking if off, but the hood also was smaller than I was hoping for. It was definitely not a hood that totally engulfed my head/face. Which again could be personal preference. I think the other qualities make this coat have a lot of potential (ie. the cuffs inside the sleeves, the outer shell-like texture of the coat intended to break wind and repel water, and fitted shape of the coat). If the hood and velcro were fixed I would definitely consider purchasing this coat.
