I'm so so so so so disappointed that this coat won't work for me. It's beautiful & absolutely EVERYTHING I want in a coat: long enough for good coverage, removable hood, great tight fitting material at the wrist, double directional zippers, warm, windproof, etc. etc. I'm 5 foot 3 inches and 138 pounds. I am not a body builder but I have muscle through my shoulders and arms. I can't lift my arms over my head!!!!! This has not happened to me with a coat, ever. I am accustomed to some women's fit shirts that will inhibit my arm movement but a coat has never done this to me until now. So to call this coat a standard fit is incorrect. Since I am 5' 3" I will not buy a large. The arms will be too long as will the coat. North Face, please do better.

The jacket is great. But the picture of the Vintage White is misleading and jacket is more beige if anything. I would recommend this jacket....but not this color.

I live in upstate New York and a large Parka-Like coat is a necessity. I liked this style compared to the one before because it seemed as though it would be more waterproof than my previous standard puffy long north face, I also think that it has a much sleeker look. My parents bought it for me for Christmas and my previous North Face Coat had been as XS but I knew I wanted a Small for this one so that I could fit sweaters and sweatshirts under it. After one winter and now going into my second season with this coat I wish that I had gotten a medium so that I could fit sweaters and sweatshirts more comfortably underneath. Would suggest sizing up for that reason. Wish I had it in a Medium.

Coat is nicely made but a bit stiff to wear. I have another northface long down coat in medium and it fits normal. This is very snug around chest and waist and I don't think I could wear anything thicker than a t-shirt undeneath. I am 5'8 145 lbs wear size 8. Its definitely slimming though. I will likely return due to size issue.

I wish I ignored the sizing guide and all the other reviewers who tell you to size up- which I did and the jacket was too big. For reference, I'm 63", 130lbs, 36D. Ordered a M and it was a little too baggy, even in the bust. The coat is comfortable and it seems like it will hold up really well in wet weather. Love the fleece lined wrist cuffs. Didn't like the longer drop in the back of the coat, made me look like a penguin, and the "skirt" of the jacket is very wide, I feel like it won't do a great job keeping the cold windy weather out. The hood is a very awkward fit- way too tall of a hood, and the fur doesn't come down low enough in the neck. I tried it on in my 60 degree apartment and was surprised it didn't feel toasty warm. I get cold really easily and am hoping to find a parka that makes me feel like I'm wrapped in a giant sleeping bag. The hunt continues...

I had to return the jacket it was too bulky and too long for my preference. It was very warm though. Very nice good quality.

For the price of this jacket, it's unbelievable how terrible the quality of the zipper is. It's an agony when I put this jacket on and can't get the zipper to work! Seriously NORTHFACE I expect something of better quality from you. I bought this jacket thinking it could last for many years, but it looks like the zipper will go out way before the rest of the jacket would.

I am fit, 32DDD, 5'7", and 140 pounds. It was tight in the shoulders when both arms reached forward in the driving position (to hold the steering wheel of a car). I could not close the coat around my chest to zip it up. I usually always wear a small or medium. This medium fit like an extra small.

This jacket is very stylish - the cinch at the wait makes it look more feminine. However, when it's windy out it does very little to protect you unless you are wearing at least 2 layers underneath. It doesn't seem to hold heat very well, which was a huge disappointment. If you're looking for a good winter coat for temps under 40 F, I would go with another coat.

Advertisements for this jacket kept popping up and I loved it and had to buy it! I think the jacket has a lot of potential, but the arms were a little too puffy at the shoulders, and the waistline doesn't have anything to adjust it/pull it in. I am 5'2" and petite, so it may just not be a good jacket for me (I ordered an xs in black). It's very warm and well made, so I definitely recommend it. north face offers easy returns/exchanging! I ended up returning.

I like the coat, stylish and light, but I have an issue with the hood. The hood to me is not deep enough despite the faux fur making it seem like its deep. The pockets aren't deep enough and when the parks is zipped all the way up, it bunches up at the neck. The length of the parka is perfect and the grey color is nice and sutle. It's a nice parka, I just have some minor issues with it.

Lovely jacket but I'm 5'4" and it seemed to long. Was not fitting to my shape. A medium seemed too big and a small was snug

Jacket is very warm and attractive but fabric is stiff. When zipped to neck, it feels uncomfortably tight and stiff. Hood was unusuable because snap fastners were defective.

This coat was fine when I first bought it but I hav noticed that as of now the feather are starting to escape from the interior. This shows that the coat was poorly crafted so keep in mind that if you want a lifetime coat this is not it. It is more so a 2 winter season maximum coat until you start to see the wear. Keep in mind the warranty is not your LIFETIME is is the lifetime of the product as mentioned my North face so they can set their product lifetime to any amount of time they want and you will have to repurchase something if it is not in their time frame.

Love the jacket. Nice and simple. It just runs a bit small. One size to the other isn't a big difference.

Like the coat, but was disappointed in the color. It is does not have the sheen or emerald brillance that the green has - is more like a pine. Might return because my disappointment is that great. Only got the coat because of the color.

It’s a really nice coat. I purchased it in off season for the price. The only thing that really bothers me is that it has a slight body odor smell, the zipper looks a little worn in spots and that tag was crumbled up but still attached. Which makes me think that it was worn and then returned. I’ll probably end up keeping it anyway because it was a really good price and seems like a really good coat. It’s very comfortable and the fit is flattering. I find that some TNF coats are a little tight around the shoulders but this one fits true to size. The sleeves are nice and long too. The coat it’s self is nice and long but not too long. It rests just above my knees. I like that it can be worn dressy or casual. So really the only reason why I’m giving it 3 stars is the fact that it seems like it was obviously used then returned.

Tried out this coat. It feels warm and overall would make a great winter coat. However, the fit looked very bulky. With the extended length coat, the bulk extended to the mid thigh, and was not as slimming. I know the down tends to add some bulk, but the shape of the coat didn't help. Otherwise, the arms and hood had a great fit. Some hoods are too big/limp and this one fits perfectly. The shade of red is great for casual/business use.

Bought this one two weeks ago and returned it today, the down was getting out and I basically looked like a chicken every time I wore dark clothes. It's not my first down coat, I know down can get out, but I've never seen that much out. The parka looks great and the fit is perfect, but it was not for me !

I am 5'4 and 130lbs and I got a small because that is what the sizing chart recommended. It was a very tight fit, especially when something was layered underneath. I could not move because of that. It's a great jacket overall but it does not fit true to size.
