Love this jacket. Got in the black with plaid inside. The only negative is the cuffs at the wrist are somewhat big. I wish they were a little tighter.

I love the fabric and the length and the warmth. It is durable for my outdoor work with animals. BUT: The knit storm cuffs are not tight on my wrists, maybe they need some elastine woven in? Also, I have had other winter coats that have a longer stormcuff with a thumbhole - maybe NorthFace can work at this design. Additionally, it would be nice if the inside of the collar had a light fleece lining. Otherwise, I am very happy with this coat . ( size medium, 120 lbs, 5'6")

I absolutely love this jacket, I purchased it in the green colour in a size small. I'm 5'2 and 130lbs. It is a bit on the long side as it hits the top of my knees, I would prefer it be slightly shorter, but not a deal breaker. It is warm and cozy on the colder days and very cute

I love this jacket, but I was aware how it would fit me. Unfortunately as a 4'10 woman the jacket comes up to my nose when I zip it up all the way. I feel it should be alittle lower on the neck even for someone taller than me. With that said everything else it great quality. I love the fur which looks EXPENSIVE. It boots my confidence and makes me feel warm in harsh weather.

It is a beautiful jacket that can keep you warm without completely hiding your shape. The only downside is that this jacket seems to attract quite a bit of lint and in my case, dog fur. Especially since I got the black jacket, my golden's hair is really evident. I just have to invest in a lot of lint rollers I guess?

I really wanted to like this coat as COVID has me taking many walks during the day as I work from home. With the colder weather upon us, I am looking for a longer coat that I can wear to continue my walks comfortably. I am sure this coat is warm, but I returned it because I wasn't fond of the overall look on me. In addition, the fur around the collar is SO big, making it look awkward rather than stylish. Sure would like to have liked this coat better. Still looking...

I bought this jacket using my HCP discount, but had to return. I followed the measurements down to a tee, re-measured again and size chart says I'm a size small. I tried it on, and I looked like a bell. It was too big for me. I asked if I can return and order for an XS, however the jacket no longer qualifies for the HCP discount. I was very sad as I really wanted to like this jacket and wanting to buy a good winter jacket for this coming Canadian winter season. Canadian winter is brutal. But I cannot buy this in regular pricing, it's out of budget for me.

This is so much cuter in person than in the photos. I personally have thr olive one and LOVE it. My only issue is that its relatively bulky and sometimes the zipper sticks. Otherwise, this jacket is incredibly stylish and SO warm. I'd buy it 10x over.

5'7 135 pounds. Ordered a M but was too big. Small fits well. Can wear a lightweight jacket underneath and not feel restricted. Black is more of a faded black like it's been washed quite a few times. Velcro seems cheap. Doesn't stay in place that well at the bottom. Hits just above the knee. Hood does seem a bit short at the front without the fur.

It's early in the season but I have worn it quite a bit for about a month already because I can't stand any little bit of cold. I like the feeling of the fabric and filling, it's like sitting on a pillow. It's bulky yet quite comfortable and doesn't feel suffocatingly hot. The outer fabric is nice and matte, sleek, and doesn't have me feeling like a squeaky tire, like my old bubble parka. On the downside. The arms are short. I know I have long arms, I just measured, about 32 inches. The jacket arms kind of stop awkwardly at my wrists, even with the inner fabric extended at the wrist it doesn't sit right. I also feel like the zipper is plasticy and cheap feeling. It's difficult to connect the two sides and put them together. The fit of the coat isn't very flattering but I'm more concerned with warmth, and I like feeling insulated, so far it does the job. I also feel like the hood could use a bit more oomph but we haven't hit a windy -30 degrees yet so I can't fully judge. Overall I don't really want to return it because it's the best value option. I bought this with my healthcare discount, I had my old winter coat for eleven years because I couldn't afford hundreds of dollars for a new one. I was so excited to be able to afford a new coat and I'm very grateful to The North Face for looking out for healthcare workers this winter. I'd still recommend this jacket if it fits your needs, and North Face overall.

I absolutely love the Arctic parka. It keeps me warm and dry on the coldest winter days. I would absolutely recommend this jacket. I have one that I have been wearing for about 14 years and is still in almost perfect shape. I got a new one this year in a different color because I love it so much and I was so disappointed when it arrived because there were a couple changes that I really don't like. First, they replaced the snap closure over the zipper with Velcro. Second, the hood is no longer fully detachable. Also, the logo stitching is now white instead of the same color as the jacket. I'm not sure any of these are deal breakers because I got a great discount on the jacket, but still very disappointing to see these changes in my favorite parka...

I love it so much but I got it to wear in the rain as well and the hood slips right off. There's no way to adjust it to your head.

I have an arctic parka from 6 years ago, and bought an XS at that time. It was extremely tight then, with it cinches a bit in the underarm area, and I couldn't fit any additional layers. Wanting an upgrade, I bought the new version in S and found myself swimming in it. I returned and exchanged for an XS and it is noticeable larger than the previous model. I can fit my size S stretch down jacket inside the XS arctic parka and it's not tight at all. It's much more boxy so style-wise it's not as sleek, but it's different. It's also longer than before. I still love the coat for its functionality. It keeps you warm and dry. Would recommend sizing down if you are between sizes.

I am 5'2 120 lbs. I got an Xs cause I was scared the small was going to be too long. Well the xs fit perfect besides it was little past my knees. TO LONG. Very sad. From it being too long it was hard to zip it without a struggle. Very sad that I have to return it and pick a different coat.

Love this for cold-weather camping and have used it twice in freezing climates. Kept me warm and dry so the overall functionality and quality is as stated. However, if you're 5'4 and shorter, it'll be at your knee and below. I personally wanted this to be mid thigh, but it turned out to be longer than expected. If you also want to layer a thick sweater or light jacket under, I'd size up. I ordered my normal size small and the arms pinch with just a thin sweater underneath.

Bought this coat when I moved to Boston because I needed something that covered more of my body for those super cold and windy days. This coat is very warm and still comfortable even when it's not totally frigid outside. I also like that the stuff in my pockets are secure and don't fall out, which is great because taking public transportation has me constantly grabbing my Charlie Card. Only two cons (why I only gave 4/5 stars): the zipper is plastic and the arms aren't quite as warm as the rest of the body.

Wanted to use parka for walking winter mornings in Minnesota. Loved the look and feel of parka but needed a larger size if I wanted to layer clothes under it:)

I kept this parka despite its faults because it was the warmest of the 3 TNF parkas I tried. Because of the windproof and water resistant outer fabric, the coat is heavy and stiff especially in the neck area. When the neck is completely zipped up, it covers the chin partially which is a tight fit. This makes it uncomfortable so I don't wear it zipped all the way up. Instead I wear a scarf and only zip it partially since the scarf will not fit with it completely zipped. Oddly, the hood on this parka is very short. When I pull it over my head, it feels like it is tugging on the back of the coat. It also ends up smashing the top front part of your hair really flat because the hood is so short. The bottom half of the parka was especially cold because it feels thinner on the bottom than the core. I wish TNF would make this parka in a higher fill power than 550. Many other brands use higher fill power. I almost bought the Triple Fat Goose brand equiavalent to this parka which costs a little more than TNF's regular price but uses 650 fill however they only have 1 year warrranty compared to TNF's life time warranty. So for the sale price that I got this TNF parka, I kept it but am looking for a warmer solution for future. I wore it in Canada for a trip and it was not warm enough. The temperature was -5F to 0F. I would way this is sufficient down to 10F if you're just walking around. I also wore it for sledding in 0F and I was still a little cold. Another point to note is I found it restrictive to wear getting into a car. It's stiff and I had to unzip the bottom everytime I got in the car. I wish it had a longer tail with a slit in the back so I wouldn't need to unzip everytime. Bottom line is I wouldn't recommend this parka if you can afford a warmer one from another brand but if you're on a budget and you get this on sale, it's a decent alternative. If you get it full price, I'd think about spending a little more to get a warmer coat elsewhere.

I think this jacket is very stylish as it come in at the middle to give you a more flattering look. If you are a little bigger in the stomach or arms area you should defiantly go up a size to have more room in the mid section.
