I love this coat! It's so warm and stylish. The downsides are that it runs a size large (I'm 5'8 130 and should have ordered an XS) and that the zipper has velcro to seal as well. The velcro is a positive when you are only outside for a brief time and want it to stay closed on its own, but I find that it gets caught on my clothes sometimes and can damage more delicate items. Overall though I am super happy with my purchase!

Use in winter when temperature drops very low. Also use for going out.

Wear to work

Thought I would love it more, but the Velcro pulls my hair. I'm keeping it because it's cute and warm but wish it had buttons instead. It also rides up a bit when is sit which is a little constricting.

I'm a mom of 4 young and active kids- we live at a lake in Northern SD. This coat has been great for being out in the snow, sub-zero windchill and on the frozen lake! I am 5'9" 150lb and the large gives me plenty of room for layering and moving around. Probably could have done a medium if I wasn't planning to play.

Love the look and the warmth of this parka. The fur hood and length of the coat are very stylish. It is very warm and has kept me toasty during long outdoor activities this winter. My only dislike of this coat is that the Velcro on the side of the zipper catches on everything-your sweater, your gloves, tissues, your dog...everything. I think the coat would be better without the Velcro.

Overall wonderful but a little large and not form fitting

Got this for my mom after she got me one last year. The style was changed just enough that I wasn't sure if she'd like it. I don't like the new changes but overall it's a great coat

Very warm however fit is smaller than expected

Love the design of this coat, especially the hood. It fits very nicely/flattering. Would probably still buy again but it attracts fur/lint/whatever very easily. The Velcro is almost too sticky in a way, can be annoying, but also some may like.

I really love this jacket especially for the Midwest winters. It had kept me warm and I do not feel the wind at al. It's a bit bulky and restrictive but other than that it's awesome! I've recommended it to so many people and as a "plus size" it fits very well!

The coat is very warm but the hood is kinda small leaving a lot of your face exposed.

I would make sure you try this on before buying it. I'm normally a large but I sized down for a more flattering look. Some cons about this jacket is that the velcro sticks on everything and sometimes the zipper splits at the bottom. Otherwise it's a nice jacket and it does keep me warm.

This jacket is beautiful! I felt like it does run little big, and a size S was still little big for me. The green colored jacket is the perfect color and kept me warm all winter!

Great quality and super warm. Only flaw is the 2 way zipper at the bottom unzipping with movement like stepping into the car. Thick thighs beware. Also wish it was a button instead of Velcro. But very warm and waterproof.

Warm and stylish coat. I shoveled snow in it once and came back inside completely soaked. Slightly water resistant in the rain but nothing more than that.

I love the fit of the parka. The arms are a little short in length but I didn't want to go up in size.

I needed a VERY warm coat as I'm a very cold person and this coat does not disappoint. I'm pretty tall and it still is a great length. I am worried about the longevity of the zipper as others have mentioned but glad to have the lifetime warranty. The zipper also doesn't always stay where I want it to. One other thing is that the hood fits strangely on me and doesn't really cover my head.

Perfect coat

Perfect for cold, wet winter social gatherings this year.

Love the warmth and length of this jacket. It's long enough to cover thigh area from the Arctic blasts of cold wind. With the length that protects the thighs, we do compromise being able to move as freely because there's no give when you need to lift your legs to step over little snow hills. Overall this is great for warmth especially against the wind. Hopefully in the future, the North Face can add a feature (side zip?) that allows the legs to stretch a bit.
