Fashionable and warm coat for winter. I don't usually like fur, but it actually looks pretty nice, so I have kept it on. It's nice enough to wear with slightly dressier outfits as well as every day. The only thing I don't like about it is the velcro at the bottom of the coat, below where the zipper ends. I find that when I get in and out of the car, or just sit down somewhere, the velcro comes undone. I would just rather the velcro didn't go down that far.

very warm and comfortable parka. But it came very wrinkled and for a long time it was not possible to straighten it.

I brought this Parka to replace my old one( 5 years), it's warm, a little heavy, BUT only thing change that I don't like is: the cuff of the sleeves have been changed, and the original inner thumb sports sleeves are gone, replaced by ordinary textile cuffs. Such cuffs are easily damaged. So I decided to return it. Waiting to see if the original style will return next year. If you don't mind it's still a great Parka.

Happy with my purchase. The coat quality matches my high expectations and delivers on The North Face reputation. It has great yet comfortable warmth and the fur piece on the hood is removable. It would be the perfect coat if the hood could be removed completely.

I am 5'0 and 105lbs, and I got a small. I probably should have gone xs (it's a bit long/large on me overall), but the underarms cut kind of tight and narrow. Knocking a star off on that because thats what kept me from exchanging it. But, it's a lovely jacket and very VERY warm! I got it on sale for $100 off and it's very worth that price to me.

Shipped fast, Seems like nice quality .I never owned a long coat before. I purchased this coat for an upcoming Iceland Trip. It seems warm so far, it's a bit hard to zipper it up because of the length, I tend to just use the Velcro to close it when on quick walks with my Pup because the zipper takes time. The Velcro does pops open way too easy. So it seems I'm fighting with the coat all the time keeping it closed. I purchased an XL ( my usual size) I didn't goto the XXL based on reviews saying it's way too big. I am 5'8 200lbs apple shape. The coat fits fitted just a little tight . I can wear multiple layers but nothing super thick. Not sure how the zipper will hold up. I did take the fur off. Overall I would purchase again.

Run large for petite . I usually wear a medium. But the med is long and the shoulder is wide for me. I like how the small fit my frame better. However, it is a bit tight and I can't wear too many layer underneath. But I usually don't wear too many layers so it works for me. It is still a nice parka.

I'm 5ft, 135 lbs, and I bought a Medium. Love this coat. It's super warm, and the Ponderosa color is beautiful! My only reason I gave it a 4 is because I'm not a huge fan of pattern of the inside lining (plaid with orange, blue, and black).

I have one in black and just bought another in navy. The coat kept me warm all day while walking in Boston as well as running errands throughout town.

I love the jacket! Very warm, and cozy! There is nothing you could not say goos about it. The slit at the bottom of the zipper makes moving very easy without tension on the zipper or worry it will rip.

Bought this because I wanted a truly warm winter parka, and this fits the bill. I sized up because I wanted to be able to wear a thick hoodie, jacket or layers underneath. The jacket definitely fits snugger than I would expect, especially when sitting down in the car with a seatbelt + layers. The shoulders are also a hair too tight, but I have that problem in almost every winter jacket I've ever owned. I'm also not a huge fan of the Velcro. Other than that - it's the perfect length, it's a flattering shape considering it's a down jacket, and the Vanadis gray color is beautiful, and has gotten quite a few compliments. All in all, it's a very nice, very, very warm jacket and I think it will hold up well in New England winters.

Love it! It is a little puffy at the bottom making it hard to squeeze in places.

This is a great coat if you spend a lot of time outdoors. I live in the North East and late fall to early spring can be brutally cold if spending time outdoors for any length of time -(kids sporting events). It is wind proof, which is exactly what I was looking for. It helps keep you warmer. I purchased a large because I like my coats roomier if it is not a dress coat. It has elastic which helps cinch the waist in the back, so it doesn't look like a sac. The shoulders are a bigger than desired, but small price to pay for a roomy warm/windproof coat. I gave it only 4 stars because of the velcro closure. The tab flap that covers the zippers has velcro tabs all the way down- which I find annoying- they get caught on clothing. The coat unzips from the bottom as well- which makes it easier to sit down- but then the velcro tabs are exposed - again I only took one star away for that because it's a small price to pay for such a quality coat. Overall- I'm so happy I purchased it. If you want a warm coat that blocks the wind and looks good- this is it.

This coat is extremely comfy and warm. I love the feminine fit, the zippered pockets with fuzzy lining, and waterproof outer. You get all the best parts of a quilted down jacket without the look. I REALLY wish the hood was completely detachable. You can take off the fur trim but not the hood. It won't even roll up and snap down out of the way like many others. I bought the Novelty Arctic Parka too because that one states you can, but it doesn't either. I'm not returning it though. It's a fantastic coat regardless.

This jacket is super warm and cozy. I love the length and the little tapering in the back. One thing that could be improved upon would be warmer pockets and I wish there were pockets in the inside.

Love, love this coat and had so many compliments on the fur. It was mistakenly put in the dryer and ruined. So disappointed that I can't buy new fur.

I've been wearing this coat in different colors since probably 2007 or 2008. Back in the day, TNF was a different brand than it is today, but for the most part, the gear is still decent. I've owned several Arctic Parkas and while it's a great jacket - warm, water resistant, comfy etc, the fit is always an issue. I was happy to see that this year, they seem to have worked out the middle section and sleeve issues as they are more true to size than the past few years. I bought a size Large this year. The shoulders are boxy and the top is roomier than my previous XL. The pockets are smaller and oddly more up and down than the previous models more natural slide in sideways. I am not 100% sure I am keeping it. I really wish they'd stop changing the sizing and features as otherwise, its a great jacket.

I've had this coat for a few winters. The color is fading badly!!! It looks cheap now. Also the down is clumping inside of the coat. Looks ratty now. Too bad for such an expensive coat.

Waterproof and insulation well done, a bit too heavy and bulk but it keeps you warm
