It's perfect for this cold weather! I like the fitting however I'm 4'10 and the length is a little longer. Haha! Otherwise, i love it!

I had to try 2 other TNF parkas until I found this one. I hesitated on getting this because so many people I know have it and now I know why. I love that compared to the Sierra Long Parka and Nuptse Belted Parka, this one is waterproof and windproof. I feel warm and on days when it's not as cold, I don't feel as hot wearing it. The jacket does a good job regulating my temperature. I love how the reinforced sleeve isn't too tight but stretchy and soft to the touch. My previous parka's sleeves were so tight that I couldn't even get my gloves on and wearing a watch made it all the more uncomfortable. The quality is topnotch. TWO complaints I have, but I can live with. The Velcro! It's in some sense convenient because when I run out for a few minutes to pick up my class in the cold, I don't bother zipping the coat and just press the velcro down. However, it gets caught on things and it's quite annoying. I prefer snap buttons. Another complaint I have is the location of the zipper. I've never had a jacket with the slider part of the zipper on the left side. I've always had it on the right, so it's been an adjustment/struggle. This is not my only parka, so I struggle zipping up at times and forget that the slider is on the left side.

I love the fit, weight, of the 6 north face coats I have had in the past, this one seems like the warmest! The hood covers my head well, and it doesn't fall over my face! I am not really fond of the Velcro as it snags winter sweaters. So I have to be really careful when I have it unzipped or I am putting on the coat. But once I am zipped up it's great!

I really like this jacket and love that it keeps me warm. I'm 5'4 150 lbs and I wish I had sized down to a small despite the size guide. I wish it had a little more shape to it but it gets the job done! I'd buy it again for sure.

This coat is mostly comfortable. It is warm, moves well, and is very long. However, the neck on the coat when zipped up is a tad uncomfortable. It pushes into the neck. It does not have a lot of flexibility.

Nice Jacket but its too heavy for me.

The fit, color, length are great, especially for outdoor walking in the winter. I especially like the combination of zipper and Velcro tabs to keep cold and wind out. Only suggested improvement is to optimize placement of the Velcro tab at the neck as it's a bit uncomfortable. I'm 5'5.

Gift to my daughter and she loves it.

Love the jacket. Warm and cozy. But 4 stars because the jacket picks up linen. I always have to remove the lint from my jacket by using a lint remover.

Not sure this is for everyday use because it is extremely warm!!!

This coat felt great, and the tailoring was really nice. However, I couldn't get over the velcro. I know this will gather lint over time, get caught on sweaters, etc. Also, I wanted the coat in black but with the brown fur. I ordered in green to try, which was a nice color. Just not exactly what I was looking for.

Light weight and warm. I used this in upstate New York and it kept me warm through a snow storm. Some of the feathers do come out occasionally but not a lot to cause concern.

litlle oversize

This coat is so warm especially in a New York winter. I love the length, and color but the only thing I'm not too happy with are the cuffs. I prefer the stretchy tighter fit cuffs from my parka 3 seasons ago. Other than that this coat is well worth it.

I need a warm coat that was comfortable and not restrictive. This coat is very chic in black. I think it has a flattering fit as it is tailored in the middle and love the gathering in the back. My only complain is the Velcro connection because I fear it will ruin my sweaters if I don't wear it zipped.

I ordered a size "S". This parka very warm and cozy, but one of the things I didn't like is the design of the neck, I'm short and skinny and despite that it made me uncomfortable when buttoning it or close the zipper. I really couldn't to close it. Also, I'm thin, it's a bit heavy for my weight. My weight 115 pounds.

Love this coat!! Length is great, nice and warm on the sun-zero days. Wish the arms were cut a little bigger right where they attach to the body of the jacket, they're somewhat constricting when I'm driving. Arm length is really good, which really pleased me. Definitely glad I bought this coat, is amazing

Warm jacket and comfortable

It keeps me warm enough. The only problem is that if your small at top and hippy, the fit is off. Fits me good on top, arm is good but pass my waist is tight and the zip keep opening up. I love the hood. It keeps my face protected from the elements.

Warm comfortable and good quality

Very warm and comfortable. Very flattering. Fits true to size. I will say the bottom of the zipper often unzips with movements which is frustrating

I live in NYC and was looking for something that would get me through those walks to the subway, waiting outside for a bus or going for a walk in one of the parks. I also wanted a coat that was not BLACK like all other New Yorkers' coats. I almost didn't buy this because there were many reviews talked about the coat being too heavy. As someone who moves around and travels a lot, the thought of a heavy coat was not appealing to me. However, I decided to bite the bullet and try the coat anyway. I would NOT call this a heavy coat. When my mother saw it one of her first comments was, "Wow, it's pretty light." Ok, it's not as light as one of those ribbed light-weight liner coats or as one of Columbia's Omni-Heat coats (which I had before, but got really old), but I would say the weight is not excessive. I love the color of the coat (green). I get a lot of compliments on it. I think it is a good length. The hood is warm and the pockets keep your hands very toasty. The COAT keeps you really warm too. After the Christmas snowstorm in the Midwest, I was taking a walk with my parents. My dad was complaining that his arms were pretty cold. I was perfectly fine. Glad that this handles city cold and Midwest cold. I have two qualms with this coat. 1) The front closes with velcro (There is a zipper and then there's velcro. There is only one snap at the very bottom of the coat). This means that every time I put on a scarf, the velcro pulls at its threads. I have to remember to be very careful, because I don't want to ruin all my nice scarfs with this coat. :( I wish the coat had metal snaps from bottom to top. 2) The inside pattern of the coat is a little over-the-top with bright blue and highlighter orange. This wasn't a deal-breaker because people don't see the inside, however I was hoping for something that looked more "serious." My plan was to take this to a pretty formal office so I'm a little disappointed that the "vibe" of the inside doesn't quite match the outside.

I have always loved the arctic parka. The new design of the hood is a little annoying and the velcro bothers me. If wearing it open the velcro gets stuck on things and the hood pulls the coat backwards. Other than that it is very warm and great in cold weather.
