This is an amazing winter coat, you won't need any coat in your closet but this one. I felt the length to be perfect and the lining is outstanding. I just want people to know this is a really great investment. I also feel this coat is true to size if you are familiar with your North Face size. I don't feel the sizing of this coat is any different than others. I'm 5ft 6, 130lbs and an XS fits perfect with room for layering, I always get an XS in North Face coats. Every North Face sizing chart tells me to get a Small but it ends up looking like a tent on me!

This is my first NF jacket purchase and I am very pleased. It's a great coat that's perfect for the cold, wet and snowy winter in Michigan. I am 5'8''/132 lbs and the Medium fits well with room for layering underneath. The sleeves also are the correct length and the cut is flattering. This coat is a great mix between stylish and functional. Would purchase again.

There is no coats that compare to north face they keep me very warm I live in New York it's needed to when you go out you won't feel the cold

Had the identical coat in white in 2006 - my mistake, I washed it in a regular washer and it was never the same. In early 2014 I tried several other NF styles without any success. This coat just came back in stock in Black - ordered immediately and am very very happy with the style and cut. I'm 5'5 appx 125 lbs with broad shoulders; won't be able to wear a heavy sweater but won't need to! Length is perfect and is very well made (I tend to destroy zippers). It's as well made as the earlier coat, and I hope to get many many winters out of this one.

I bough this coat to replace an existing winter coat I had and boy was I satisfied. I love the fact that it's so warm, yet so light. It's the greatest lightest coat I have found!

Great coat! This coat is perfect for the sometimes rainy/snowy winters in Washington DC. I am 5'8", 135 with broad shoulders and hips. The M is the perfect size and leaves plenty of room for a sweater or Blazer to be warn underneath. I have already washed and dried the coat without any issues.

This is the greatest coat ever! Cold doesn't even phase me anymore now that I have this coat. True to size and very flattering. Fur can be unzipped from the hood for a different look. Love it! I suggest everyone buys this coat!

I wore this coat for the first time today and it's very very warm and feels so good on. My friend said I look like I'm stuck, but that's because I didn't want to move my head out of the pocket of the hood (since I didn't want to full put the hood on, my head made a pocket in it). I'm so glad I paid the money for this coat and I'm so glad it was well worth it. I'm very very picky and I never do green anything, but I bought this green Parka and I really love the color. You won't be disappointed, at least I wasn't.

I just bought this coat last Saturday knowing I was going to be standing outside in a snow storm at a football game the following day. This was actually my very first The North Face purchase and I knew in the first for minutes of standing out in the snow I had made the right choice! Not only was I warm and dry the entire time I was out in the elements (over 5 hours) I was comfortable and stylish! While other people I was with were complaining about the cold temps, I never once felt cold! This coat did it's job and then some! Definitely a must have for anyone who's looking for a cute, functional, warm winter coat.

When my family learned I was moving to Minnesota for work, they gave me this coat as a Christmas present. Let me just say: best present ever! The past 10 days have been cold (highs in the low single digits, overnight lows in the negatives) and nothing gets through this thing. I was actually sweating while I was shoveling snow earlier today. I am 5'2", 115lbs and the size small fits great (and goes down to about 3 inches above my knee). Now, I'm looking for something similar for my husband!

I ordered this Parka after our first cold snap. It arrived just in time for the next one. It is perfect! Not too heavy, yet warm enough to brave our brisk prairie winds during long afternoons at the dog park. It's also just about the only knee-length parka out there this year, which means I can wear it with skirts or dresses with boots. The detailing in the back keeps this parka from looking like, well, a parka. I feel both stylish and warm. Can't beat that combination!

I LOVE this coat. I bought it for an upcoming winter trip to Europe and I couldn't be more pleased. The fit is true to size. I'm 5'4" and rather curvy (especially in the bust). The XL fit me perfectly. The quality is excellent, which is to be expected from North Face items. I expect to wear this coat for many, many years to come.

this coat was a gift for my daughter, who lives in Chicago, where the winters are famously windy and very cold. She has told me that this coat is absolutely the warmest one she has ever had! It's also very good-looking, which counts, too.

I love this coat. Like some of the other reviews, mine is one of the older versions and is slightly different, but the basics are the same. I live in freezing, windy, Chicago and am always waiting for the train or bus in the winter and this is by far the best and warmest coat I've found. The hood is nice and big, great for pulling over your face in wet snow and keeping wind out, and the fur catches the snow nicely too keep it from dripping in your face. I also like to refer to the hood/fur connection point as a little gutter, it catches everything and you never have water running into your face. I've never had an issue with rain/snow soaking through the coat. If I had to give a complaint, the only thing I can come up with is that it can actually be TOO warm if the weather isn't really cold. I've worn mine for 4 winters now and it is still in great condition- at least another 2 winters in it.

This is an extremely warm coat with the added benefit of being very stylish with a bit of a feminine touch. Waterproof with an attached hood and filled with cozy down, I have no doubt this will keep me warm through the upcoming Minnesota winter. Within one hour of purchasing this coat, I wore it to Costco, and a random stranger approached me to compliment my coat and ask where I got it. I chose the fig green color, which is a beautiful contrast to the brown fur. The waterproof outer layer is very luxurious and soft for a waterproof shell.

Spent the last 2 years trying to find the right dog walking jacket for the UK rainy cold winter. FOUND IT. Walking my 2 dogs on the moors other jackets were too short or not warm enough or not waterproof enough especially after the last 3 winters we have had with drfiting snow one minute pooring rain and even the odd ice storm. Today was the first test - torrential horizontal rain, cold and extremely windy. No we don't suffer the extremes of other parts of the world but I am so grateful I found this it is like walking with a duvet wrapped around you. No more dreading a wet behind or knees my legs will be nice and dry. Going to take it ski-ing instead of living in my ski jacket night and day it will be nice to have something to wander around in at night.

I purchased this jacket for my baby's momma and she is so in love with it. It was like Christmas coming early, she tried it in and felt like a rock star. Enough of the satire, Northface sets the standard for other to follow with their products. The Women's Arctic Parka will be put to good use during the cold weather of New York. It will be put to the test with a trip to Chicago.

I usually wear a M/L. My last coat by Ralph Lauren was a medium. I ordered this coat based on the measurements but it 's too small. I need a large.

I live in very cold and windy Michigan. This coat holds up. The zipper is very cheap and not good quality at all.
