I have been on the hunt for a practical, but stylist parka. I am so tired of coats that don't cover my butt and give me a chill. I order several from other companies, and ended up returning them for one reason or another. After reading reviews, I finally bit the bullet and bought this one in black. I AM SO IN LOVE. It's exactly what I was looking for, and feminine, flattering, not too long, and also does the trick walking around the snowy/icy/cold campus at Cornell. Hurray! I finally have a winner that I won't be returning.

Bought this for my mom for Xmas and she's ALWAYS cold . I have one as well and she also agrees it is the warmest and stylish coat around . Plus we have dogs and dog hair doesn't stick to it like other materials . Love it !

Graphite grey is the color of my new Womens Arctic Parka...Its sporty as well as casual I can wear a dress under it and still look professional. I am in the process of coordinating my Jacket with the Kitten Grey/Plum W omens tall Zophia boots. Relief is what I get when I am wearing my jacket with the satisfaction of the warmth that I feel. You can't get that anywhere...But at North Face! Thanks for making my Holiday complete, it was the best gift that I could give myself. Love this coat!!! Just got back from Fairbanks...went on 4 mile hike in a winter wonderland with temp at -5 and coat was awesome!!!

i LOVE LOVE this coat. It is perfect. I HATE the winter, and so far I haven't minded being outside in the cold because this coat is SO. WARM. Other reviews have said the sizing is a little small, and that is correct. I am about 5'4" and about 115lbs, according the website sizing thing they recommended an extra small, but the small actually fits perfect. It's not too bulky, but extremely warm. This has been my favorite purchase so far this season.

this down parka is sooooo warm! I dare to say this coat is the warmest down coat that I have even owned, but still I feel XS size is bigger for me, I followed the instruction, which indicated that I should wear XXS size, by the way, I'm 5'1" and 98 pounds.

I live in Wisconsin where it tends to get very cold, rated as the 3rd coldest city! I walk to and from work each day about 1 mile each way.My parka not only keeps me very warm and dry, but is also very attractive! This item runs true to size, is machine washable and drys beautifully in my dryer! I LOVE this coat! I am so impressed I have been buying this item for each of my 3 daughters and at least 3 friends have purchased this item on recommendation! Thank You North Face! The coat is extremely light, but super warm. The color is great and the length is perfect for my height (5ft. 8inches) I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

I love this coat. I purchased it in red to give me some color and cheer at this time of year. I did go up a size and am happy I did. It really fits well and looks fabulous. The Arctic Down Parka will be my "go to" coat this winter and for many more.

I purchased as a gift for my daughter for Christmas. So she hasn't seen it yet but I took the honor of peeking, and trying it on, I can't comment on warmth but every other detail is perfect and exactly as pictured/or spoke about. You can never go wrong with The North Face.

I would highly recommend the North Face Artic Parka to anyone living in a cold snowy climate. Nice and warm, great quality and fashionable all at the same time!! The two way zip is a great asset that is hard to find on coats.

I outgrew my old arctic parka and thought I would go for something cheaper. Big mistake. After returning more than 8 coats, I came back to my tried and true arctic parka and ordered the next size up (thank you so much for making a XXL). Not only is it warm enough for a polar vortex, but the exterior fabric holds up. I can go to the dog park and not have to worry about getting torn. Rain beads off and I stay nice and dry. I miss the exterior chest pockets the old style had and I'm not wild about the snaps on the back at the bottom, but that's pretty minor--and may just be that I don't like change. On the positive side, I feel like they opened up the waist/hip area a bit and that makes it a lot better for ease of movement. I know I'll have this coat for years to come (and still hanging on to my old one in case I drop some pounds). By far the best coat around. The red color is wonderful. Vibrant and true red (not too orange).

I have been hunting for a new parka for the winter months to walk our dog in. We live in Michigan and the cold and sometimes biting wind can be chilling. Because we walk our dog (Alaskan Malamute) three times a day as she loves cold weather, I needed something warm to keep the wind out, something long enough to cover the top of my legs, a warm hood and something with a smooth (non-quilted) exterior for looks. This coat meets them all! I love the sleeves which have ibside them knitted cuffs to keep the wind out. The length is perfect and the double zipper that unzips from the bottom is great for driving. This is definitely warmer than any coat I have had and love the adjustable removable hood. After my husband saw mine he bought a similar coat in mens (McMurdo). Excellent quality and excellent coat. Fit is true to size with one note - bust is a little tight for, ahem, bustier women.

Living in the northern midwest and it has saved me from freezing due to these cold windy winter storms

I bought the graphite one in a medium size and I'm very happy. The color is a little lighter than shown on the website, more of a greyish/brown mix and goes with everything. The size (M) is perfect for me (5'10", around 150lbs), the sleeves are long enough and tight at the wrist, so no wind comes through. It's the first waterproof down coat I found that is warm and stylish! I highly recommend this coat!

I absolutely love, love, love this coat. I had actually purchased a similar North Face coat, in boring black, a few days earlier from a local department store. Prior to wearing the previously purchased North Face coat, I decided to visit the North Face website, and I am so glad I did. My purchase directly from North Face was much more stylish and $100 cheaper. Thank you so much for offering this beautiful, warm coat at an excellent price.

I have spent two winters looking for the warmest and cutest coat for our cold New England weather. This coat hits the mark and beyond. Purchase you still can!
