This coat is by far the best coat I have owned for the winter weather in Chicago. For those individuals that commute to and from work, this is hands down the coat for you. The hat is constructed so that it can be removed or adjusted to cover your head or even brought down over your head to cover more area. This is fantastic for the windy days in Chicago. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!

This jacket is exactly as it is advertised; it's very warm, comfortable, and cute! I like that it is not bulky and goes in a bit at the waist, which makes it more feminine and stylish. It has a fun colorful design on the side that is not featured in the picture that was a nice surprise and adds to the style of the jacket. Definitely the best jacket I've had in years. It also can fit nicely in a travel sized carry on. I travel often from warm to cold weather and can easily bring it with me wherever I go. I highly recommend it.

I just purchased this coat for use during my morning and evening commutes to and from Boston during the winter. I have been wearing it in January, and so far the temperatures have reached the single digits. This coat has kept me very warm and comfortable while waiting on the train platform, despite the bitter cold. Yesterday the wind was also at 25 mph, and I noticed that this coat was most definitely wind-proof as well. Wonderful! I am very satisfied. If you are looking for a coat to really keep you warm when standing outside for lengthy periods during bitter winter cold and snow, this is a great option. Definitely worth my money. I expect it to last for years to come.

Warm, great coverage, great range of motion, size up if you have a larger chest. I'm 5'8" with a 34DD chest and wear a size 10 in pants and the medium fit me really well. Not sure why others are complaining about the zipper; I tried on several parkas by North Face and others thought the zipper was of better quality in this parka than the others I tried.

I use my jacket for work, I live in Boston Mass! and it tends to get really cold in the winter seasons. It fits true to size and comfortable but, I really don't like how short the length is.

I bought this coat for winter, cold months and it was the best purchase I have ever made. It has kept me extremly warm for the cold -3 degree weather. With me being short also, it helps keep my legs warmer.

I got the white color and it's so pretty. It is stylish and really keeps me warm in cold weather. Compare to other jackets this one is is not that bulky. Nice investment in the jacket and I'll definitely recommend it to my friends!

A little bit about me: I walk and take the bus everywhere in my city. I am always cold, even sometimes in the summer! It's like I don't make enough of my own heat to retain warmth. When this coat arrived I was really confused because when I think of an "arctic parka" I think of a thick and heavy coat, but the box was light as a feather. I pulled out the coat and immediately thought it wouldn't work, because it's so thin and light. But I wore it on my quarter-mile walk home from work in ten degree blustery cold at night and I was sweating when I got home! I'm 5'5" and 130 pounds and I got a small. It's hard to zip up because it's a little snug, but once it's zipped up I have no problem moving around. My arms are long so the sleeves could be an inch or two longer. My only issue with this coat is that it zips up to my nose, but I'll probably never be able to do that because there isn't enough room allowance to be comfortable. With a scarf, this won't be that much of an issue though. Now I can do another 8-month Ohio winter without turning into a popsicle!

This parka is amazing. I wear it in Chicago's negative wind chills and the only parts of me that stay warm are what this coat covers. Worth every penny.

I enjoy wearing it anywhere anytime the weather is cold I know I won't be cold. Keeps me and my lower back warm at all times and that is the most important part for me.

This parka is really warm, but not bulky. I've gotten lots of compliments on it, and I've been wearing it even on days that aren't too cold. I'm 5'7" 135lbs and the medium fits perfectly.

this is the best winter coat I've ever owned. when I go to work and have to walk from the parking-lot I'm as toasty as can be. I should have invested in a north-face much sooner. all the money wasted on mediocre coats.Thanks north-face

I did a huge amount of research before I bought my winter coat. I knew for sure I was staying the heck away from Canada Goose, Moncler, and any other brand that used real fur, but it still meant I had a lot of coats to consider. I went into the store and tried this coat on and immediately fell in love, but because it was the first coat I looked at, I decided to shop around anyway. After a few weeks, I wound back around to this one, bit the bullet and bought it. Am I ever glad I did! Winter in NY did not get cold until early January, but the first cold day we had was -12C / 12F. I donned this coat and one thin sweater underneath and walked to work as I normally do. It is a 45 minute walk so I was out there in the cold for that long and this coat kept me lovely and snug and warm. It fits beautifully and has a really flattering shape, and I found the North Face very true to size. I am a US size 14 and the XL fits me well with room for layers. I could probably have gotten away with a L if I did not want to layer up. This morning, 1 degree Celsius, I walked to work with a short sleeved blouse underneath the coat and by the time I got to work I was too warm for it to stay on a second longer. THAT is how warm this coat is. It feels good on as well. It has a really nice fit and weight and it really does feel well made, considering it is not made in the US. The price tag is high, but it is worth it.

I love my new Parka. It's stylish, comfortable and easy to wear. Keeps me warm on single digit days and the hood with the fur looks super cute even with a hat underneath.
