I bought this coat intending it to be a 3 season coat in Philadelphia, but was finding that it was not warm enough for the chilly fall nights. While it is warm, the liner is extremely thin and you may be better off with the Thermoball Snow or Clementine as they have thicker liners and would keep you warmer through the northeast fall and winters. Depending on where you live, this jacket is lightweight and warm enough that it would be a perfect 3 season coat.

I especially like that the inner layer is light and not bulky, but still warm. Can use this jacket for casual wear or wet/cold weather.

I like the coat a lot. I'm 5"6" and size 6 but the site recommended I get a large. I would of probably gotten a medium as it's a bit too big. Very cozy and kept me warm on the slopes. I highly recommend it if you get cold easily like I do. I wish the pocket structure was a bit better and that there was a hanging hook on the back of the coat. Only way to hang it on a hook is by using the strap found on the liner which worries me it may rip. I love the color I got (eggplant). It's the perfect purple.

I wear it every day and like that it gives 3-in-1 flexibility to meet whatever the weather throws at me.
Not quite warm enough for extended exposure to below 0 conditions, unless you're on the move.

I am 5'2" 108 pounds (34C) and the small is pretty form fitting. If you are between sizes, plan to wear this with heavy layers or just like a looser fit, I would suggest going up a size. The biggest plus for me is the shell and insert are very lightweight, but still provide a decent amount of warmth and good rain/wind protection. I had also considered the Clementine which is significantly bulkier, both the shell and insert. It does provide more coverage in the back though. The Clementine went to about mid-calf in the back and the Thermoball comes just past the hips. All in all, the Thermoball tri-climate has been a good choice for me. The removable insert allows for use in a variety of weather conditions. I have not had any issues with the zippers as some have reported with the tri-climates.

It is a great length for both skiing and wet weather. I really like that the liner separates from the shell.

Comfortable jacket. Blocks the wind and rain with no problem. While the jacket is warm, I got chilly when outside temps reached about 25 degrees; jacket could be better insulated.

Love the jacket. A bit difficult to match with other clothes, BUT, great ski jacket as it is a bit of funky color that goes well on the slopes. Love the fluorescent accent. So lightweight and warm. Just wish an extra chest pocket

I love the style of this jacket but the color of the inner jacket is not appealing to me. It fits great but has to go back.

Love this jacket! The 3-in-1 is great as a ski jacket because you can wear both layers when it's colder out or just the shell on warmer spring skiing days. The only downside to this jacket is the lack of pockets on then inside of the jacket. I like having my valuable self (Ie phone) inside the jacket to protect them better.

This is a great 2-for-1 jacket, however I was not happy with the way the inner Thermoball jacket fit me. I am 5'1" and 115 lbs. I am petite and my arms/wrists are extremely skinny (I have my own leather puncher to punch holes into leather and silicone watches, bracelets, and straps for shoes since my ankles are super skinny too). The outer shell jacket is amazing, overall both jackets are designed well, you can zip the inner Thermoball jacket into the outer shell, and the wrists have snap closures for optimal fit.
Unfortunately, the Thermoball jacket made me look like a marshmallow. I almost kept the jacket since the outer shell is pretty awesome and it is made so well, but alas I returned it. I ended up getting a Patagonia jacket that's similar to the Thermoball that fits my body a lot better.
I'd also recommend:

It is great besides the sleeves being a bit long gets in the way.

I bought this to replace my triclimate that I purchased several years ago. This one fits MUCH better and is warmer. Also much lighter weight. The little tabs on the inner jacket lay flatter and don't bother me as much when I wear it alone without the outer shell. I also like the quilted look---really getting tired of "fleece".
I purchased an XL even though all my clothes are Mediums and Larges. I was correct to do so. I have nice arm movement--no restriction.

I bought this coat for my daughter who is 5'3" and weighs 120 lbs in a medium and it fits her real well. It is a little bit big on her but I got it in a bigger size on purpose since she is only 13 so she can use it for a few years. The material in this coat is so nice and keeps you warm. The color is nice and vibrant. Also it's nice and light which is great! I would recommend this coat.

I love this jacket. Three days ago, I was wearing the puffer coat. Today and yesterday, because it's been raining, I've been wearing the shell. (The shell, btw, makes an excellent rain jacket all on its own.) I haven't had a chance to try them together, but I know that because of the way that the shell fits, it will be excellent for skiing (i.e. having layers underneath, while retaining breathability et al.) I wasn't really stoked on the color options. I sort of liked the blue color combo, but I wanted something that worked for every scenario - you know, to maximize the versatility of this 3-in-1 jacket! So, I got black, but didn't realize that I was getting black with grey sleeves. I'm slowly leaning into that... though I think I'd still prefer just all-black. Regardless, it's a small issue with an otherwise really awesome product.

I wear it very frequently, it is very convenient. However, sometimes I feel that it isn't warm enough. And also when I put together the inner coat and the outer coat, it would be better if there were two buttons to connect each sleeve instead of one, that would make it more stable.

Got this jacket for hiking. It is extremely lightweight, waterproof and breathable. My only complaint is the fit. I have broad shoulders, which the coat accommodates. I have a small waist and the coat is quite boxy on. In the picture on line it appears to have a curve inwards at the waist but it does not in person. I wish it had a drawstring at the waist. It fits like a men's jacket. For something I will wear all winter for years I would like something properly fitted.

I do like the coat. Just surprised the removable liner is blue not orange as shown in photo.

Fits true to size. Great colors! Love the size of the hood. I wish the shell pockets were insulated.
