The jacket itself is very nice but the fanfare heather green/parlour purple does NOT resemble the picture shown in any way, it is more of a maroon/greyish light blue. We thought we received the wrong jacket until we compared the tags on the jacket to the website.

This thing was warm & lightweight. Unfortunately I have a super short torso & it looked like a boxy dress on me. Had to return

The jacket arrived and look just like the description online. It's absolutely gorgeous, that being said it runs very very small in the plus sizes. I am a true 2XL in everything I wear, the 2X in this jacket wouldn't even close on my chest at all. I would say it runs about two sizes smaller than advertised. The other con 2X is as large as they offer.

My daughter LOVES this jacket and wears it all the time. Just wish she didn't want white as it is impossible to keep it clean!

Good everyday coat for Colorado's roller coaster winter weather. Looks great. I wish it had and interior pocket. Also strange to not have a connector in the back neck to keep the thermoball pice and shell pice together better.

Jacket was too big in the arms length and the body width. Didn't like the inside fleece item. Not comfortable, and felt confining.

I've used this jacket for mostly casual use; to walk to work, work outside, etc. I went to a waterfall recently and was barely misted by it and my jacket was soaked through. Super super disappointed considering the price. I can say it is very warm and lightweight, but NOT waterproof. I wish I could get my money back to buy one that was warm & waterproof, but I've worn it too often at this point.

This coat is beautiful, but not warm enough for extreme cold without the workout, i.e. commute, walking into work, heading out for shopping, etc. I am sad because I love this and the color and fit, but it's not cutting the mustard for extreme Maine winter. I want to purchase another from North Face though as it is my favorite gear.

I'm 5'3" and about 140 lbs. I got this in a large, because I read in the reviews that it runs small and I can't stand when coats are tight. Plus, I wanted to make sure I had room to wear a sweatshirt underneath. It is much bigger than I had expected it to be. A medium would have been fine. Overall, it's a pretty nice coat. It's very lightweight, which makes me wonder how it will fare in the winter. It hasn't gotten too cold yet. Appearance wise, the outside layer is thin. The inside is a little uncomfortable on bare skin.

The jacket is great but and this has nothing to do with the jacket but the photo north face used, the green is lighter in person. I really like the green in the photo so I was disappointed but I needed a good winter jacket so I decided to keep it. I just can't stress the color enough because I thought it's was going to be an olive/army green but it's not anything like that. Had I known I probably would have picked a different jacket/color.

It really sucks! It's too thin and really does not work for cold weather. It's just suitable for moderate weather. It was a waste of money for me! I wanted to return it, but unfortunately I wore it and can't return it!

The jacket was wide in the mid-area so gives you no shape. Lack of drawstring on bottom of down coat is a problem when wearing it without the shell. Because it is wide the air would just go right up the coat. Bummer as I love this brand.

I got this coat couple of years ago to replace my winter coat. It’s very cute but did nothing in the cold, windy, Nebraska winter weather. This might be better for an early fall/spring jacket but definitely not late fall/winter. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it and I do wear it quite a bit but for the price, I was disappointed.

Sorry North face, but this jacket did not make the grade.. It felt like a rain jacket with a plastic lining.. Eventually returned it for an actual Thermoball jacket and vest.

Thought this jacket would be good for Alberta winter's its not! No better than a light ski jacket, looks great, but not warm even with the inner layer, very disappointed considering what I spent on it!

I love the idea of a triclimate jacket - but this was a big fail in my opinion. The stand alone Thermoball jacket, is a great jacket; however, the thermal jacket included in this set with the shell is sub-par. The material is not as nice, the stitching is wider apart and less flattering, there are fewer pockets, and there is not packing pocket that you can compress just the liner into. Sadly, you cannot buy the higher quality stand alone jacket and then but a separate shell that the liner will zip into. The stand alone thermal jacket has a different gauge zipper than this cheaper, lesser quality one. And the shell for this jacket is super thin. It has absolutely no insulation to it at all. It is a very thin rubberized material and more like a rain coat than winter weather shell. TNF could have knocked it out of the park with this one, but this jacket is terrible - especially considering the expensive price tag.
