I use this as a base layer with north face thermoball jacket when I'm anywhere which is cold. The hood doesn't stay on when it's even moderately windy.

Have yet to test it in the field, but so far seems to be a quality midlayer.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
It's a great hoodie. I have the 1/2 zip too. But after the third wash, the label started coming off both. Washed in cold and dryed on low as per instructions. I just pulled them all the way off as they look trashy.

I love this jacket but I have noticed that the few times I have worn it there are little balls starting on it. on the sides... but other than that I love it

Looks nice. The sleeves are pretty tight in the forearm area so wearing anything with long sleeves underneath would be a challenge. The material seems as it is described but might snag easily.

This is for a Christmas gift, so I have not seen it on him. The color is really pretty (I ordered the blue). I guess for the price, I should not expect much. what was disappointing was the North Face logo was not stitched but looks like an iron-on, which to me, looks cheap. No where in any of their product descriptions is that mentioned, though I think they should say whether it is an iron on or stitched in. Unsure if I will keep, plan to visit NF store to see if I can find something better.

I loved this quarter zip, TNF sizes just vary on me because I have wide shoulders and chest. (I'm 6' 1" 185) So an XL fit beautifully, but unfortunately there were no colors left in XL so I had to return.

I bought the TNF red color - and the color was completely off from what is seen on the site. I returned it. And it looks like they have removed that color option or maybe it's sold out.
Besides that - the hoodie itself was a great pit and comfortable.

I really liked the sweater, I was just upset at the color it came in. The red in the picture looks nothing like the red that it came in. It looks like a dark red and what I got was a bright red and the name colors matched from the tag and online. other than that it's a good sweater

I mostly use this on light hikes in the winter and it works well. However I was hoping that it would be thicker for casual wear. Overall it's a decent jacket.

I own three northface jackets and I wear this hoodie to GYM. It looks cool and It's a nice casual hoodie but it was not effective in keeping me warm when the temperature was -4c.

This pullover is worn to the office and in the field. I am a construction professional and I have to be able to look good while being protected from the elements, this garment will do that. I will say that it works best as a layer. In temperatures below 40 degrees it is noticeably thin. Because of the athletic fit you are limited as to what you can wear under it, unless you get a bigger size.

Looks great, a tad on the long side which is actually a positive on this layer. Super happy with the fit.
The one negative is that abrasions on this material show quickly, though it's only possible to see at a parallel angle (like I'm looking down at the hoodie while wearing it). At first, I thought my hoodie had defective material and exchanged it. Within one day, I saw the same marks on my new hoodie. Just my seatbelt alone leaves abrasion marks across where it rubs, but they're not really visible to anybody.

Overall, I had wanted a canyonlands hoodie for some time. I had tried one on 2 years ago and really liked it. I can't say I'm trilled about the model updates. It is not as warm as prior versions and the thumbholes are now gone. But the thing I'm most disappointed about is the fit. I have always worn size Small happily in the North Face. This hoodie is too long. I wish it was 1-2" shorter and/or had a drawstring to tighten at the waste. The look and feel remain fantastic.
