This jacket met all of my expectations and it serves its purpose on Cold weather days. It's my first jacket from North Face and it's really great. The only disadvantage that I saw right now is the hood. Not fully protected from cold winds so I need to put something on my head. Other than that, everything is superb.

I bought this for my husband. He needed a warm functional down coat that he could wear to clients. It's perfect! The fabric is beautiful! I highly recommend!

Although this parka feels light it is very warm. I was nicely surprised to find that the zipper is two-way. The zipper is a little difficult to zip-up but it may just need to be broken in. Love the ventilation under the arms. Initially I was worried that the hood was not detachable but last weekend when I wore it I was glad it was there! I highly recommend it.

For a general every day winter coat in a miserably cold climate, this parka is perfect. It is warm, feels light and comfortable, and actually looks good. Most coats of this quality and warmth end up making you look like the stay-puff marshmallow man but this one actually looks stylish.

I left an earlier review of the 2016 model which i didn't find to be very warm. I tried and eventually bought the 2017 model and it has been extremely warm. The jacket is still a combination of down and synthetic but maybe they added more fill. It's kept me warm with a single layer underneath to about 20f. If i had a down sweater underneath I'm plenty warm at 5f. The one criticism i have is that it leaks more down than any jacket I've had. At any given time there are 20-30plumes sticking out. I've owned it for two months.

I've had this parka for over a year now and it's kept me warm though two New Jersey winters. It's not bulky which makes it great for daily use and commuting. It holds up to weather well and can stand a heavy rain for a while before it becomes "saturated". The quality is great and it looks just as good as the day I bought it. It's easy to care for and is machine washable.

I needed a new winter coat that wasnt a three in 1. I spotted this at the store and it looked like just what I needed for those cold days to and from work. Bonus that I found out later that it is designed to fit over a sports coat or suit. I have already tried that and it does. The downside with that is I had to get a Large which results in a slightly looser fit and sleeves are a touch long for me. It is the warmest coat I have had in a while and the temps just hit 20 degrees where I am and I cant even tell when wearing this. It is super comfortable. The zipper is a little annoying to get started but other than that I highly recommend.

I am 5'11'' and 170lb. I choose the medium size which turns out to be a good fit. It is light and warm. It is not bulky at all but it would be nicer if it is adjustable around the waist. As other reviews point out, the biggest issue is the zipper that is small and difficult to zip, and it get stuck sometimes. Need some practice to get used to it. That is why I gave it four stars. In terms of the hood, some may feel that it is not insulated well but I just notice that the hood is adjustable so that the head can be protected from the cold as well. Overall, it is a warm, light and stylish hooded winter jacket. If you mind the zipper and know what your size is, I would recommend it!

When I tried this first time, I had two feelings. It was very warm and sleeve was little bit long. I ordered XS but it seems like S and XS had the same length of sleeve but different shoulder wide. However, if you are buying this for cold weather, I think you got the right one. It is very warm and comfortable even if it is pretty thick coat.

The fit is great, it is quite warm without being too bulky. One point of concern is that the zipper seems a bit small for the coat and it isn't very easy to zip.

Wonderful jacket. I really think it is the perfect balance of warmth and functionality. I live in chicago and it is plenty warm. My only issue with the jacket if the Zipper which is flimsy and too small. It is out of proportion with the coat (in my opinion). It has not failed but it is certainly not easy to zip because it is soo small.

I love the design of this jacket, it is lightweight and warm. It has a clean stylish look while still being functional. The only 2 problems I have with the jacket are with the zipper and the hood. The zipper is rather small for the jacket which can make it awkward and a bit difficult to zip. The other problem I have is that the hood is slightly small and not very insulated. The hood barely reaches over to my forehead. Overall I am still satisfied with the jacket but it could be improved.

I wanted to like this jacket. It seems like it's very warm and it has a lot of nice touches like a transit ticket pocket, etc., perfect for a daily commuter indeed. In the end I sent this jacket in for a return because it just wasn't my style. The napoleon zipper seems more prominent in the picture online and I wasn't too crazy about the snap closure - I prefer if it was velcro. My cons list likely only applies to me personally, but this jacket definitely does serve its main purpose very very well: keeping you warm on your daily commute.

Greatly and well crafted jacket. Stylish to show off or battle the weather. One major thing it needs...DRAWSTRINGS. At the hem and waist. I wore if a few times then exchanged it for the mcmurdo. As I walked on the street in cold weather I felt the cold wind ventilating inside my jacket and I couldnt stop it. Also the drawstring in the hood needs to be adjusted from the back like the Mcmurdo, not from the sides. When these changes are made, I'd consider buying one. For now im happy with the Mcmurdo.

Lots of great features for a commuter jacket: down fill, tablet pocket, etc. Size Large was really big and puffy, and there are no drawstrings to tighten the jacket. It also might have been nice to design a jacket with a removable hood, and unfortunately, the hood is sewn on permanently. With better sizing chart and if you don't mind an attached hood, it's a stylish jacket for the city.

Was shipped to the wrong address and therefore was 4 days late. It was a birthday present, i called customer service and she assured me it would arrive on time. Needless to say, IT DID NOT. When it finally arrived, it was too big. I am now returning it for a smaller size. Very disappointed in the service, but i do like the coat.
