I like the way it is padded because it makes carrying heaving textbooks really easy. The zippers make for a great space for organizing smaller items as well, and the overall look is very simplistic which is exactly what I was looking for.

I use this backpack as a school backpack but it would also work great for things like day hikes. I was very timid to buy a new backpack as I was very attached to my old one but I absolutely love this bag. Very comfortable, and it has a lot of space but is not heavy or bulky at all!

Great backpack for school, weekend trips, hikes, and as a carry-on for flights. I had my first one for over 8 years, with only a few minor tears and dysfunctions. I was getting ready to replace it, when I tried my luck at getting them to replace it (there is a life time warranty for manufacturing defects), which they did in about 7 weeks. Worth the wait. I will continue to support this company for a long time.

This bag is very sturdy, and it is just the right size. It also has great built-in organization.

I bought this backpack to replace my old North Face one. My old one was my high school backpack purchased my senior year. Took me all the way through college, then as a diaper bag for my two daughters, then a purse. I'm 36 so after nearly 20 years of use I knew I wanted another North Face. This Recon has everything I need and even compartments I didn't know I needed but am so glad they are there! Best purchase I've made in a long time!

This is a great backpack. I love the comfortable straps and the large water bottle pockets on the sides.

I bought this backpack for holiday trips in- and outside of the country I live in. I had a certain expectation when I bought the backpack, and it exceeded every one of them. The bag has small and large compartments that fit all of your items in a save way when you are on vacation, and the bag itself fits comfortable on your back.

As a student studying abroad, I wanted a heavy duty backpack that would be versatile between school and travel. This is perfect! It has numerous pockets and fits everything I need it to. I don't have to choose to leave anything behind and it's comfy for everything I want to lug around with me. Will definitely be a backpack I will buy again in the future.

I love the two water bottle holders! The many different pockets and storage places are amazing. I also really like how I can keep my laptop in there and not have to be concerned of it getting banged up.

Mainly used for school. Take the school belongings out and use it for the weekend camping activities.

Use in school I carry all my books constantly. Roomy packs well lots of pockets room for two water bottles.
