These are absolutely gorgeous but not for skinny ankles! I absolutely loved these as far as style and comfort go. They are incredibly well made, great looking sandals that were extraordinarily comfortable right out of the box; the leather is very soft and nothing scratches, rubs or pinches. A big plus for me was that the strap across the toes was comfortable and did not dig in; I often have a problem with that since I have extra sticky-outy big toe bones on the sides and it can be painful. These were not. The strap across the instep is adjustable, which is also a plus. Unfortunately, the ankle straps are not adjustable and my skinny ankles ruined these shoes for me. The straps have elastic on one side, so if your ankles are a little bigger they will stretch to fit you. But if you are on the other end of the spectrum the straps are too loose, and with the criss-cross design they fell together in a bunch and looked sloppy on me. I am so sad that I had to return them (if they were cheaper I might have kept them anyway, but I have a tight budget). Three important notes: 1) They are smaller by a half size. Good news for me, since I am a true 5½ and these shoes - and many others - aren't available that small. The size 6/36 fit perfectly (except for those ankle straps, boo!). 2) I ordered them in black and the narrow straps were smooth, not the perforated kind of design shown in the online pics (I liked the smooth better). 3) Several reviewers have said these look like they have been worn. I assure you they have not. I scrutinized the soles and for some reason they manufactured them to look a little scraped up, but you can tell that it is not true wear. If you zoom in on the bottom view online you can see it. So do not worry, they are new!

I never write reviews, but I feel that I must...this shoe is amazing! I am a 10 W with bunions and constantly searching for something stylish and comfortable. This is the most comfy and well made shoe I have purchased in a very long time- years perhaps. I didn't want to take them off when I got home, and immediately ordered in another color. Worth every penny.

I looked at the Shay for a couple of months before finally purchasing. They arrived yesterday and I wore them to work today. I literally walked 5 miles according to my Apple Watch. No rubbing and no blisters. I would highly recommend this shoe to anyone desiring a casual-dressy sandal.

These sandals are fabulous. I chose the blue and they are gorgeous. I'm normally not too good with heels, but these are perfect. Super comfortable and stylish. They go with so many things; shorts, capris / ankle pants, long and short dresses ... can't beat them. So happy with my purchase ... will probably get the black as well. Maybe the red too :D

These shoes are THE COOLEST. They are crazy comfortable and very edgy, funky, unique. Also, a side zipper makes them easy to put on. You don't have to buckle each time. I was so excited these worked!

I love these Shay wedge sandals so much that I have them in Black and Mauve!!! They are super comfortable. The leather stretches a little after wearing so being a little snug at first is ok. I can dress them Up or down. I wear them to work or out. If I catch them on sale, I would probably even buy more colors!!!

Beautiful shoes! So much more beautiful in person than in the photos, too. I was hesitant to order this because I read that people with narrow ankles had issues with the straps, but my narrow ankles look perfect in these sandals, which are very easy to adjust for a custom fit. I was slightly hesitant because they seemed somewhat narrower than I would prefer, but they have broken in beautifully, and I am delighted with this purchase. ?

love these but sending back as the leather behind the ankle above the heel cut into my right foot. Otherwise they would be great! wedge is comfy height. Boo Zappos sends then in a shoe box with no lid...Would not have kept these for that reason alone...

Love this shoe. It's hard to find a comfortable shoe that has style and is sexy....this shoe does just that. Got them in blue, great color. Looks good with dresses, pants, skirts....pretty versatile. I wore them all day the first day I got them, walking a fair bit. No pain, only some tiredness in my feet. They felt really comfortable. I wish I could come across this kind of shoe more often! I got a 9 - I'm usually an 8.5/9, they fit perfectly. I have a narrow foot and was concerned they would be a bit too wide, especially when I saw some slack around my ankle, but they held my feet well. Love them.

I want to keep these. They are very stylish with great support and a comfortable footbed. I think that I could stand all day in them. Unfortunately the heel piece cut into the back of my right heel. I would order larger but then the footbed will be sloppy. I think it is a bit of a design flaw so they are coming back. The wiskey color is wonderful. I am so bummed as I love these shoes. These felt really good on my feet and were unusual. I feel like the design of these sandals was what drew me to them but I wanted a style to stand in all day at work (I'm a teacher). They seem very well made and hugged my feet in all the right places. There is a lot of attention to detail in the soles and the leather. I'm used to a wider heel/platform and wasn't sure these would provide the support I need. They were comfortable but I returned them and will continue my search.

These shoes are beautiful, but the straps around the ankle were really uncomfortable, so I had to ship them back. So disappointed because I have a hard time finding comfortable navy sandals that don't look like old lady shoes. The hunt continues...

Adorable shoe but when I tried walking in them the back cuff cut into my ankle. Too bad because otherwise I can see why they would be comfortable. I have skinny ankles which may be the reason.

Wow, Zappos. You broke my heart. I thought we had and understanding? A relationship of mutual respect built on my love of shoes and your warehouses full of them. But you sent me used shoes. Shoes that have been SO clearly worn by someone else. And, you tried to charge me top dollar for them. I feel as though you took advantage of my love for this particular shoe, saw my review where I lamented not buying every color of this style, and tried to pass this used pair off. You know, if you'd said "we have some barely worn for half price?" I probably would have been okay with that. It's the dishonesty that really stings. Will I be able to trust you again? I don't know. Time and distance can heal all wounds, they say. We'll see.

The shoes are excellent.

LOVE these sandals. Wore all day the first day walking around NYC and standing for long periods and no issues at all. So comfortable. Just wish I could have another pair in black! If you have thin ankles, the straps may be a little loose. The main strap across front of arch is adjustable but the ankle wrap straps are elasticized. It doesn’t bother me too much, but wanted to add this as a possibility if you also have thin ankles.

The Miz Mooz "Shay" is probably the most comfortable, yet still stylish shoe I've ever owned. I can walk in them for hours, they are great for dancing, they feel comfortable right away- no breaking in. They add a little height, but don't throw your back out- just perfect. I didn't know these attributes were exclusive to the Shay, thought that was all Miz Mooz shoes as I have a pair of boots that are also wonderful. Tried some other Miz Mooz's with not as great results. Now on the hunt for every color of Shay in my size.
