I have a fused ankle and with these shoes it give me room when they swell

3 years ago customers had a problem with the short tabs so I was glad to see New Balance correct that. Large is easier to fix then too short.

My husband has wide feet and it is difficult to find a brand that accommodates people with wide feet. He was able to find the size 7 4E in the New Balance brand. The fit is perfect, and the Velcro straps makes it easy for him to put on his shoes. He had purchased a similar pair of shoes in the past, however, the Velcro straps were way too short. New Balance has improved this feature and the straps are now much longer and you can even cut the straps if you want it shorter. I would highly recommend this particular shoes for the fit and comfort. I would also like to make a general statement about Zappos. I had returned a pair of shoes recently since it wasn’t what I had expected. I was impressed with the free shipping and return policy, and the quick refund provided by Zappos. Great customer service.

My husband has extra wide feet and it is difficult to find the 4E width. New Balance is one of the rare brands that offer this extra wide width. We did purchase a similar style in the past, however, the Velcro straps were too short and it was a negative feature for this particular item. However, perhaps New Balance has taken into consideration the criticism about this particular feature because the straps are now much longer. Also, they have made it so you can conveniently cut the straps to adjust the length of the straps if it is too long for you. I would also like to comment about Zappos in general. The service has been excellent. In the past, I had to return an item which was not exactly what I wanted. The shipping of the item back to Zappos was totally free, and my account was credited very promptly. I appreciate the great customer service provided by Zappos, and I highly recommend this company without reservations.

The minute I put them on and wore them around the house I knew they were going to be a good shoe for me. The size was exactly what I ordered and the width was perfect. I also liked the idea that the straps could be trimmed easily if I felt they were too long. Great shoe at a great price!

Glad to find a well made wide shoe in my size. The Velcro straps are great for a senior like me. so easy to put on and take off.

First of all, I LOVE ZAPPOS!!! I have a very hard foot to fit and to make matters worse, one foot is a full size longer than the other. I ordered several pair of different brands and none seemed to fit properly, so I called Zappo and was on the phone with their customer service for 45 minutes while she listened to my dilemma and offered suggestions. We settled on 2 different shoes and they arrived the NEXT DAY!!! The New Balance was the winner and it is working very nicely on my weird feet. I sent the second pair back the next day and the postage was FREE. The selection that Zappos has is wonderful and the service is phenomenal.

Bought for my 89 year old father, he was very pleased with the fit and the ease of not having to tie them. They are also stylish a combination of a dress/ tennis shoe! He still wants to look nice for his ladies:)

Bought these for my husband, and the 4E fit perfectly. I believe they're helping with his balance issues.

Have worn NB shoes for years---I find the 813 excellent and the service from Zappos is a 10 on a scale of 5---I will buy from Zappos again. Bob

These fit as well as my husband's old shoes, which are the same style. He says that they are comfortable and easy to fasten, everything he wants in an everyday shoe.

I have been buying New Balance for several years. They are the best. They are the only ones that I have found that I can wear since they are true to fit and I have a very wide foot and a high arch. No other shoe, that I have found, compares to this shoe.

I buy these for my Dad and he really loves them. Little to no break in time needed and they hold up well.
