Love these black sandals! The Aetrex Jillian Quarter Strap sandal runs true to size. I ordered two sizes and my regular size 5 was the best. So I did return the 5.5 sandals, but I am keeping the size 5! Very comfortable. Super cute. Love that these sandals are totally adjustable. Great arch support - yay!

This review is only to comment on size and style, as I just got them and cannot address durability and long term comfort. These are much cuter than I expected. I love the bronze which is a dark brown with a bit of shimmer which is subtle, not glaring. That puts them in the category of "yes, I can wear these with a skirt or dress pants or jeans or shorts." I think they are very true to size. I wear a 38 in Dansko's (Euro sizing), and the size 8 in these correlates to the 38 Euro, and the arch on the size 8 is exactly where it needs to be, and there is just enough length at the heels and toes. As for comfort, this has a nice soft foot bed and good arch support, but nothing under the toes, which doesn't bother me, but others may need that little bump under the toes. Also, I have a small bunion, and the strap goes right over it, but isn't tight on it, so it is still comfortable. If you have big bunions, the strap may be in the wrong place. BUT that strap is adjustable! Overall, cute, cute! Looking forward to testing the long term comfort.

Absolutely love these sandals. I have very difficult feet - extremely high arch and post double bunionectomy...these were comfortable from the get go. No breaking in period. I especially love the cushioning on the heel strap. Added bonus, these are great to wear in for a pedicure because the front strap opens totally! I'm buying at least one more pair!

I am so sad I have to return these shoes. I love them in every way...great support, very stylish, super comfortable...but they are too wide around the front of my foot; even when I fasten the front as tight as it can go. I have narrow feet so these would be great on anyone who's feet are not very narrow.

I have been suffering with a bone spur for 9 months. In spite of aggressive medical treatment and very expensive insoles, being able to walk in shoes has been a challenge. These sandals are amazing. Put them on and felt no pain. Walked up and down stairs with no pain. They look wide (surfboard) but the Velcro straps adjust them perfectly to your foot. I got the orange tan with gold because all other colors in my size were out of stock. These will be my brand of shoes.

I do not want to take these shoes off! The most comfortable out of the box shoes I've ever worn. I have a wide foot and these shoes fit perfectly. I also have a Morton's Neuroma and don't even need to put an orthotic pad in them. For a comfort shoe, the braided leather and metal decoration dress it up. I will get other colors if they get them back in stock. I love them that much.

Great looking sandal. Love that the toe strap is adjustable. Good for my wide feet. Very comfortable.

Very few sandals are made with arch support. These not only have arch support but they are not as wide around the toes so my feet do not swim around at the top of the sandal and the velcro straps around the ankle provide good ankle support. Nice color and style.

I really wanted to like this shoe and it is very attractive, however the strap around the back of the ankle digs in to my foot and I find to be very uncomfortable, so back it goes.

They were so comfortable...until I got blisters on the back of my heels. Returning them but I'm really sad about it.

Sizing is true. I always wear an 8 and these fit perfectly. I like that they Velcro so I can adjust how tight they are across the top of my foot. I have shoes with more arch support, but these are definitely adequate. I wore them for hours and did a lot of walking on the Strip, and my feet were hardly sore. I have very high arches and plantar fasciitis and they were still good. I gave them four stars because they really look like something my grandmother would wear. It would be nice to get some cute options

I wear a 7 W in most every footwear. I agree with other reviews that this fits like a wide even though it is not marked as such. The sandal feels like you are walking on a cloud due to memory foam insole. The arch support is not compromised due to the squishy footbed. Arch support is my biggest necessity in a shoe and this shoe has the right amount for me. I also agree that the strap that goes across the front of ankle is too big, but there is enough velcro so I can make it tighter and not affect the wear. My heel does not slip out, although I can seehow someone with a narrow or Med. Foot coukd have that problem.

I wanted to love these; the orange is a nice shade and the foot bed is comfortable, but as others have pointed out there is something very boxy and boat-like about them. They are abnormally wide at the heel and the bulge of leather at the back of the heel strap feels weird and awkward. Sadly returning, hoping to find something a touch more streamlined.

The length was great. The shape of the toe area was great. The width over the toes was great. The heels were insanely wide. I could put 3 fingers inside the straps next to my heel on both sides at once. They definitely would not have been stable on my feet so I returned them.

Unfortunately very wide at the heel though great at the front. When done up suitably for the front I can get 3 fingers in on each side of the heel. They will not be stable when walking so they are going back.

I liked this sandal but didn't love it. I liked the color (grey) and the style, although its a little clunky. The fit was a bit off for me. I have a high arch and high instep. The two straps over the instep/ankle are connected where it velcros around the ankle--so these two straps cannot be adjusted separately. It was too loose around the ankle when adjusted to fit me over the instep. Also the medium width was a little too wide. The arch support would probably be fine for most people. The heel "cup" was not as defined as a real orthotic-type footbed.

This is the lightest shoe ever. If you're looking for something that won't weigh you down, look no further.

The Gray color is actually a grayish brown, so i am returning. Seriously comfy shoes, though.

These felt very comfortable but I had an issue with it having a bit of a slope/heel. I noticed all the Aetrex sandals have a heel. The reason I'm looking for supportive/comfortable shoes is not only for my flat feet, but also so I don't put pressure on my knees or shorten my ham strings etc.. So, if these were flat, ie. no heel, I would have kept them. As it is, I returned them

I really wanted to keep this sandal - it's very attractive. But the heel strap just couldn't be tightened enough.

Other Aetrex shoes size 5 have fit me very well. This shoe was too wide as well a bit longer than previous size fives I have purchased.

The Velcro on the right shoe stopped staying firmly. attached and the shoes are now useless. Can I return/exchange these shoes or have I wasted my money?

The shoe had great arch support. But the back strap around your ankle actually stops your foot from going all the way back - so you have a one inch gap between your heel and the edge of the shoe. Looks weird and would probably cause blisters.

These had the same footbed as the “Gabby”:which was very comfortable! However, the 2 cross-wrap look is actually attaches in on spot at ankle and not two separate spots like “Gabby”. This placement was very uncomfortable on the top of my foot. Too bad, as they looked fantastic!

I liked these sandals but they looked so “old lady” on me. My first pair of aetrex was purchased 8 years ago and I love them, I wish that style was still available. I returned these sandals due to style.
