This item would have received a five star rating, but there are problematic issues with the zipper design. One of the zipper pulls came off the zipper track. Fortunately the luggage is still usable since the other pull is still on the track. It was the first time we were using this piece of luggage so it wasn't due to wear and tear. There is a design problem with the luggage since the zipper has very fine teeth and there is a rubberized shield covering the zipper to presumably keep dust and debris from the zipper teeth. It is also a design feature to make the luggage look more sleek. But, small teeth and cover make the opening and closing of the zipper less than optimal. I will return the luggage to the Samsonite repair center and see if they honor the 10 year warranty on the product. I don't expect to hear a positive response from them since the fine print basically says it nearly always is the users fault, but I can be hopeful.

I was very excited to buy my first Samsonite hard case. I have always thought Samsonite to be of the highest quality, however within 2 months the zipper of the case had completely broken away from the bag. After weeks with customer service, and taping my bag shut while I travelled Europe, I finally had it repaired. Now, less than a year since It was bought, the chassis has completely cracked, is unusable and Samsonite will not cover it under warranty as they claim it is airline damage... So if you want a bag that won't cracks after a few plane rides, go with another brand.

The product arrived broken. The handle does not come off so it is impossible to carry the suitcase.

I received this as a replacement for a 26" Samsonite hardshell roller that I had sent in for servicing. This one came and I loaded it was 50lbs of luggage. Th zipper unthreaded and came apart when lifting. I reset the zipper and closed it well. When it arrived at baggage claim, it had unthreaded again and opened and my luggage had spilled out. This was on its very first flight. Very poor quality, not sturdy enough to use.

We purchased the suitcase for our son to use for his deployment. The zipper broke and the overall quality was very poor.

I took this suitcase on one trip and the wheel broke. I had the suitcase less than a month and now have to go through a process of sending the suitcase in for repair. To add insult to injury, the closest place to take it for repair is over 50 miles away. They will not allow me to mail it back to them and replace with a good quality suitcase. I'm very disappointed.
