Almost exactly what I was looking for, a casual, comfortable shoe I can wear to work where I'm on my feet all day. I would have given a 5 star rating, but they did seem to run a little wider than advertised. Not a bad thing, just could fit a little better.

The Freewheel Lace shoes are really comfortable and light. I would like to wear them every day for the rest of my life, but I have one major issue with these shoes. Do not get them wet, or make sure to treat them as soon as you get them. Mine got wet from a puddle one time and they have smelled like hot garbage ever since. I have tried, but failed to get the smell out. It is really bad. One of those things that you might not notice when you put them on, but then you smell it all day. It is bad enough that I cannot wear them anymore.

Amazing service, initial shoes different style Merrell where a bad fit, able to return seamlessly while my new pair where on their way. Very impressive.

Shoe is a bit loose in the heel, but otherwise feels great. I love the style and they are comfortable to walk in. They also hold up well in wet weather. One minor thing: The shoes look more green in person than in the photos.

I initially really liked this shoe. It was very comfortable and looked good enough for casual Fridays at the office. I spend a decent amount of time on my feet at the office so I am willing to spend more on shoes that are comfortable to wear for a whole day. These were great for awhile but didn't hold up all that long so now I can't really wear them on days when I know I am going to be on my feet a lot unfortunately, even though they still look good and are in good shape. Maybe this means the cushioning in them isn't as high quality?

I prefer the Barkley. It’s a matter of what one likes. I think the Barkley is slightly dressier and more comfortable. I sent these back.

I like the style. It has the shape of a tennis shoe, but with a little bit nicer material. The suede does get scuffed pretty easily, giving the shoe kind of a dusty appearance. It's not the kind of suede that you can just brush and spiff up, unfortunately. Basically, it's a slightly nicer looking version of a casual shoe, so don't expect it to look very fancy. My experience is that it doesn't have much arch support—the arch on my right foot started to hurt as soon as I began wearing these and going on just short walks of a few blocks. I'll add some inserts to help with that problem. It's probably overpriced for what it is, but I've owned other Merrells and I like their quality and durability. Was willing to splurge for the Merrell brand.

A good versatile shoe, well made. But these things are freakishly wide especially in the toe box, and the fit is sloppy and weird. The laces are very thick and not user-friendly. Bit overpriced also.

With a lot of these style shoes, I find them too narrow. I don't think I have a particularly wide foot but I don't see the point in laces if the shoe's too narrow to begin with. Style is subjective but I found these looked a lot better in the pictures. Merrell does generally make comfy soles tho.

Looked cool in the pictures, but I only wore them a handful of times, I guess I didn't like them as much as I thought I would. I have wide feet and these fit just fine.

Like the way these shoes look and they're pretty comfortable - but only on my left foot. The right shoe digs into the top of my foot and it's gotten to the point where I can't wear them any more. I thought they just needed some breaking in, but if anything it's worse now. Wish I could return these but I think it's too late. I think these shoes are a bad choice for anyone with wider feet.

Loved the look of the shoe, but it was weird shaped. Toe box was wide...Liked that. But it was too loose in the back. I went down a half size and it was a little short in the toe box. I had to send them back.

I had high hopes for these shoes but was really disappointed in the comfort level. I do a lot of office walking during my work day & commute and like a comfortable, stylish shoe. I've enjoyed Merrell shoes in the past, but these were not as comfortable as I would have expected.

Padding was thin and hard.

Fit is true to size and they look great. However there is no arch support and they are not comfortable to walk in. Disappointed.

These shoes are incredibly uncomfortable. They dig at the tops of my feet.
