These were comfortable when I tried them on and even had good width in the toe box. Unfortunately they were super difficult to to get on. I wonder if they would loosen up with time, but at this price I didn't want to risk being stuck with something that I would find too much of a hassle to ever wear. Love Dr Martens soles and the style was nice.

Ankle hole was stupid small. I have this boot in black and the sizing on these is totally different.

The leather was incredibly stiff and the elastic on the boot shaft doesn’t stretch. It was impossible to get my foot in the boot. I do have a high arch and run into that issue with some tall boots but never a short one. Too bad because it looks nice.

Bigger and bulkier than anticipated

The leather of this boot is very stiff and as I walked in them, the stiff leather folded and dug into the top of my foot. I think with "breaking in" it might be wearable, but I didn't want to take that chance. The boot themselves are very stylish and well constructed but the leather was just too stiff.

I really wanted to love this shoe. waaaayyy too big and really stiff. needs to be smaller and broken in

They are really cute but after wearing them a few times they feel like I am walking in flippers. Go for the smaller size.

Holy small ankles! Shoe width and fit is good if, you can get your foot past the ankle hole. The leather and band around the ankle is so stiff and tight, wear longer socks or they will cut into your skin.

Be prepared. These boots hurt. The stiffness of the leather literally rubs a sore on my legs around the top of them.

Great looking boot, very tight and difficult to get on. May stretch a little over time with wear, but not worth the effort in the beginning. Returned the boots as a result.

These are definitely sized more wide for men's feet. I have a high instep and also found it very hard to get my foot in the boot shaft. The leather and sole are great. Overall fit didn't work for me, so they are going back.

These are tiny shoes, I wear a 14, these I could not even get my foot into.

Huge. Way too big. I'm always a size 8 in every shoe, every brand. These were at least a full size too big.

I could hardly get my foot into the shoe...when I did it was stiff and very uncomfortable. Couldn't imagine wearing these during any extended period of time.

Dang. They seemed big enough for my actual feet but they were super stiff and I couldn't even get my left foot into the boot, after trying for 10 minutes. Returning.

Love the styling of these shoes and the leather feels top notch, but unfortunately I had to return them cos I just couldn't get my feet in them. The openings of the boots with the elastic were too narrow for the shape of my feet. Once the front half of my feet is in the shoes, I spent over 10 min but just couldn't get my ankles to seat inside. I was afraid that I'd break the back tabs as I was pulling really hard on them.

The leather cracked and the color flaked off before 6months of use right at the flex point across the toe area.

Love the look, style, and comfort of these boots; however, after wearing for 2 days I could not believe how HUGE they were feeling on my feet! The width felt enormous, like I was sloshing around in them! I could not understand why, until taking my boots off, and setting them next to my Blundstones - I realized how much BIGGER they looked! I investigated further, and discovered THIS IS A MEN’S BOOT! I selected/ordered a women’s size 8, but received A MEN’S SIZE 7! How deceiving!! A men’s 7 is NOT a women’s 8! Not even close. The width is significantly wider, and generally women have to go down 2 sizes when wearing a men’s shoe! The box I received the boots in was blank and generic, the website description is FAR from adequate, if not deceptive, and these are NOT inexpensive boots! BE AWARE when ordering! I cannot even wear these, and am terribly disappointed! No more Zappos for me.

No half size so just frustrating trying to find a boot that fits

Really tight to put in. Does not open wide enough to get my foot in. When using it, my feet hurts really bad. The leather is so stiff and causing pain on my foot. I would recommend the "Dark Brown Crazy Horse" leather Chelsea Boot. that boot is so soft and fits right.

Could not even check these for size - it was impossible to even get them on. Unlike other Doc Chelsea boots i've tried the gore panel panels did not stretch nearly enough to get into these boots. Not sure that even another pull tab would have helped. Sending back.

These are the most uncomfortable boots I have ever worn. I used to stand during the work day on a mat at a stand-up desk, but after 3 months of trying I can't do it in these boots. My feet ache after about 30 minutes. The boots are still stiff. Should have read reviews on these elsewhere, since it would appear only the British could tolerate such a miserable boot. I had lace-up Doc's for years, but this was my first attempt at a Chelsea by them. Going to try something else....too bad I can't get my money back.
