I LOVE these snow boots by Pajar. I ordered them almost out of desperation: Here in Boston, we've been hit by one blizzard after another. We might as well be living in Siberia! We have a dog, so I'm out walking several times a day, and I also do a lot of shoveling, so I need boots that can handle snow, slush, ice -- whatever Mother Nature throws at us. These boots felt great right out of the box. Very comfortable and cozy. I'm a perfect 7.5 B, and these boots feel true to size. They are slightly roomy in the toe box, but that's good when you're in a boot made to keep your feet warm, as these are. And I love the metal "grippers" you can flip into position when you need them -- what a great innovation in a serious winter boot! These Pajar boots are designed not only to keep you warm and dry, but also to keep you upright on icy surfaces. I wear them with skinny jeans and feel they'd be fine to wear at work. (I certainly can't say that about my Sorels!) I never thought I'd feel fashionable in boots made out of nylon and Gore-Tex, but I do in these! I'm so glad I got them. Definitely a smart purchase and well worth the price.

These are the warmest, most comfortable winter boots I have ever had. Wore them out today in frigid temps and felt like I was in my bedroom slippers. The furry lining is so silky and the insole has marvelous cushioning. Flexible enough on city streets. Very secure on ice and slush, even without the ice grippers engaged. No overheating inside during a long lunch. Cute, too, with skinny cords tucked in. These were on sale and I lost out on the last pair in my size, but Zappos notified me when another 39 became available, still at the sale price. A great deal on a great boot. For reference, I'm a true 39 in boots and these fit perfectly. A nice, wide toe box and good arch support. Love 'em.

These are great. And fit my wide feet! Very comfortable and soft. And they look ok too. I need a wide size for one foot and normal size for the other. So I need wide shous that would not fall off from normal sized feet too. It's almost impossible to get snow boots that would fit me. I got a whole size up in these to accommodate for the width I need. This means that they are quite noticeably too long but still very comfortable and don't fall off from the foot that is not wide too. Actually they are extremely comfortable! I get cold really fast. I had to ruturn Columbia and North Face boots because I would freeze in them. These are great and warm. And though very warm, my feet never became too hot and sweaty. And then when the street was icy, I tried to use the ice pikes on the sole. It was amazing!!! I walked as if there was no ice at all when everyone around me were slipping and having to hold on to the parked cars. And then when I walked into a mall I just flipped the pikes back and walked on the floor as I would in any normal shoes. They are also very easy to put on and take off, work well with both skinny and wide legged jeans. I wish they were a bit more stylish, but compared to most other options, they are still much better. I'm really impressed by these and recommend them to everyone who lives in cold and snowy places and especially if it gets icy!

They are a little narrow for my wide foot but worth it not to slip on the ice and snow. I have 2 pairs.

I bought these boots for warmth and comfort and they did not disappoint! They are super comfortable, stylish, and easy to put on/take off. I am a Realtor and need to take my shoes off in many homes, so that is a plus. The flip over ice pegs on the bottom work great. My dog chewed up the tool the second day, but a sturdy pen does the trick and I always have a pen. Highly recommend!

Before I even got to wear them my daughter borrowed them to go ice fishing with her dad! She said her feet stayed warm and the spikes did their job while walking on the ice. They are stylish and I can't wait for it to snow so I can test them out! Second pair of Pajar boots (first pair is over 20 years old and still in great shape)--highly recommend!

Very hard to put them on! Only without socks it's okay. They're heavy as well.

I usually wear a 10.5 wide. Based on other reviews, I was hoping to get by with the 41. Nope. Not even close. Way too tight.

I LOVED the whole I idea of this boot. Unfortunately my fat feet didn't cooperate. Even with a larger size they felt too narrow for me. I wish more designers would take fat feet into consideration. ;-/)

I'm just in from walking through snow and over slippery sidewalks. I sized up from 39 to 40, so I could wear extra socks. A little loose in the heel, but it doesn't bother me. The velcro attachment adjusts for the bulk of whatever pants I'm wearing. Seem warm enough. I tried the grippers on ice with one foot flat and the other foot with spikes. They make a big difference. I'm not flexible enough to be able to flip the grippers without sitting and taking off the boots, which I'll have to do during my walks, going from cleared streets to icy sidewalks to inside stores, so will need a convenient perch along the way to do that. The included tool is not very substantial, so have ordered a metal gadget as a substitute. An old-fashioned church key works well, though the point is sharp. Will the rubber that holds the gripper in place wear out over time? No idea. The tread on the boots is good even without flipping to the spikes. The boots seem well made. Overall, very pleased.

My husband got a pair of Pajar's last year and I kept taking them to wear in the yard so I broke doan and got myself a pair. They are terrific boots in every way! They are not as stylish as I would like, but hey, they keep my feet warm and dry. No complaints here!

I looked and looked for a comfortable, warm and stylish pair of boots to wear during my recent trip to Canada. These were surprisingly warm (my feet were never cold) and comfortable as we walked for miles each day in the snow and slush. They were also not too warm when indoors. A great find! And as always, dealing with Zappos is a pleasure - I ordered and returned nine other pairs before finding the perfect pair.

I bought these to wear in Boston post Blizzard Juno to visit my daughter. I live in Georgia and have little need for snow boots but knew it was a must for this trip. After serious research I decided to try a couple of Pajar boot styles. These are amazing. I am a small 9 and ordered the 39. Wearing thin wool socks they fit perfectly. I walked in 18° weather, stepped in lots of slush and snow, and used the ice grippers. That was perfection. I stayed warm and dry. I also walked two hours in them at the museum. They provide great support and are stylish with my skinny jeans. They would work well with a skirt and tights as well. These boots are awesome. I wish that I had more opportunities to wear them. All ages could wear these amazing boots.

I loved the style, loved the boot. It was too narrow for my toes and although I honestly thought about keeping them I knew I would regret it. So sad they do not come just a little wider.

These are great boots. I have trouble finding boots to fit my high arch, but this style handles that well.

These boots are great for commuters or folks who need a warm, good looking boot for short distances. Unfortunately, I bought them for dog-walks and these are not right for that. They aren't an athletic boot, they are stiff and dressier, if that makes sense for a snowboot. I was thinking they would be more cushioned. I love the spikes and have deployed them on our icy road. In addition, the velcro closure is quick and handy when I have an impatient puppers who needs to go out. They just aren't the comfort and support I was looking to trek for several miles in every day. So, after shelling out nearly $200, I still need good everyday snow boots.

Size 41 is equivalent to 10, 10.5 and 11, They RUN SMALL! I wear a size 10 and can always get a size 10 on with ease (sometimes a 9.5). I could barely get this boot on. It was a very tight fit. I am disappointed because they are very nice. I will try the size 42 if that size comes available.

I had to return them. I wish they had fit but after ordering a full size and a half larger than normal my toes were still squashed.

This shoe was very narrow will return and get bigger size. The material was nice looks very warm.

These boots are wonderful. They are light yet keep your feet very warm even in cold Maine weather. Love the flip out cleats!

After reading all the reviews I chose to go up in size. I typically wear a 6.5 or 7 (EU 37) but went up to EU38. The boots are lightweight and warm. I definitely have space to add my custom orthotics and wear thick socks. I'm definitely ready for any icy conditions with the double cleats! My only gripe is the Velcro (hook & loop) closure. I mean they're great for easy on/off but the sound. Nothing sounds more cheap IMHO than the sound of Velcro being opened.

These will be great for a trip to Finland later this winter. They do seem roomier than a 41 normally is but that's ok. I'll probably wear very thick or double socks if it's really cold. They seem kind of cloddy, like the soles are just platforms but I do really like them. Firm soles, not squishy. They are ever so slightly fashionable with the detail on the side but these are for function not fashion. Very cozy inside and the shaft of the boot is fabric, not rigid. I am excited about the ice grips on the bottom. I've never had a pair of boots with that feature and I'm curious how that will feel to walk with them pulled out.

I love these boots! They were a little narrow when I first tried them on but quickly stretched out and became my favorite snow boots. They are great in the snow, on ice even without the cleats, and keep my feet dry and very warm. Plus I love having the cleats attached. Getting in and out of yak trax is inconvenient and cumbersome. The soles feel a little stiff/not very flexible, they also feel a little bit heavy and clunky, but they are a great pair of winter boots for cold weather, snow and ice..

Boots seem to be of very good quality and I’m very happy with the look and fit. I haven’t had a chance to wear in the snow yet, but they look like they will do the trick!

This boot fits my foot and is easy to get on and off.
