I have a very high arch so these lace ups let out enough to just barely cover the foot and are a bit tight. They will stretch and be fine, I just have to wear them a bit.

Was too big. Not really thrilled about the color when it arrived.

These shoes need an insert to be comfy if you have any feet problems. They are hard with very little arch support. They are cute, but since I need more support I am returning them.

I love Alegria shoes! I have 4 pairs and I thought I would try these for more of a walking shoe. I wear between a 41 and 42 in European shoe sizes. The shoe I picked was out of stock in the 41 so I got the 42. Upon receiving them I was slightly disappointed in the material, sort of "plastic-y" and after trying them on I realized that they were too big, so I will be returning them. I won't buy this particular shoe in another size, they just weren't the shoe I was expecting, a little too boxy for my taste. I will, however, look for another shoe from this company, they are well made and comfortable.

Cute shoe, comfortable and light with good support. I wear size 7.5 to 8 and the 37 fit great. Less clunky looking than some of the Alegria shoes, more like a normal dressier tennis shoe. But, their toe box height is too short again - had this same issue on another Alegria shoe I am returning. It puts pressure on my big toe, and my feet/toes are normal size. Too bad, I wish Alegria would pay attention to making this area of their shoes a bit taller because I really wanted to keep these shoes. Afraid to try anymore of them because I have had this same issue in 2 of their shoe styles. Thanks ZAPPOS for making returns so painless - you guys ROCK!

Yes, Yes, Yes, most of the reviews are right on. I didn't realize the support base is cork - interesting - very firm, but needed for me for arch support. I am 7 1/2 medium width - 38 worked great - these have PLENTY of toe room and are in fact a bit wide for an average width, but I really like that - no pinching and no consequence for being a bit wide and a bit loose in the heel - I do have VERY small heels, so many shoes are a bit roomy there for me. Style is very cute, but different. Photos are pretty accurate - the colors are subtle due to the mosaic grey design.

I wanted to love them but the heel fit wasn't perfect and I would probably need to put in my own orthotic or insert to help alleviate the plantar fasciitis pain. I couldn't justify yet another dark sneaker in my wardrobe at this price with a less than perfect fit. However, I will look to Allegria in the future as one of the brands that will sometimes work for my problem feet. And it isn't easy finding attractive shoes for 10 wide ladies' feet, though this shoe is very bold in its colors and designs. NOT for those who are low-key in their footwear.

Comfy at first but after about an hour it started to feel like there wasn't enough cushion for my really messed-up feet. But a well made shoe.

I had to send these back because, even though Regal Beauty is pretty, the fit wasn't perfect enough to justify buying these sneakers at this price. I am now a 10 wide with foot problems (plantar fasciitis, bone spur, falling arch) and have to replace all of my shoes with the correct size and way more flexibility in fitting and a removable insole (for a possible orthotic). This is a really good brand, though, so I'll shop it again in future.

Felt like a very supportive shoe. Good arch support. The shoe was not feminine. Looked like a work shoe. Thanks Zappos for letting me try them!

Cute shoe for special occasions. I ordered a 40 and it was too large. I took out the cork and foam pad and inserted my own full foot orthotics. The heel was too wide in the 40 and the shoe too long. (I generally wear a 9-9.5, but I ordered larger because of the reviews.)I have a narrow heel and I need room in the toe box. So, I returned for a 39 and the fit was much better. The heel is a touch wide, but OK. There is room in toe box...and I might be able to wear these with only the pad sometimes. The foot pad is substantial. Without the foot pad, the front of the shoe does not have enough cushion. But I think these will be fine between my own orthotics and the foot pad choices. Glad I found these shoes.

For Size 11 feet, there are not always cool styles available. These are quite comfortable and supportive. I have skinny feet(not narrow) and these shoes run a bit roomy. I can wear a heavier sock or add another layer of padding inside but I often need to do this. That's why I rated them 4 Stars vs 5. I will probably get another pair as they are fun.

I have feet problems and this shoe makes my it easier to walk. Roomy. I did have to get a 1/2 size larger due to my issues. I love the color choices and styles. Also, Zappos does great getting it to you and easy returns.

Love these shoes - not quite as good arch support or as wide as other Alegria styles but they are way cute and comfy. I recommend getting your regular Alegria size as they stretch out a bit.

I wear a 9.5 in most shoes. The 39 in this shoe is too short. The heel is too wide and slips. What a shame. It’s a really cute shoe.

Wow these are SOOO cute! Even though they went higher on my foot/leg than I wanted, I contemplated keeping them because they felt good and they are SOOO cute, however, they really smell out of the box and when I took them off, the colors from the shoe were all around my entire ankle. Took several washings to get the stain off!

I'm a huge fan of Alegria shoes and wear the Classic and Paloma all the time. The colors of this shoe were fun, but it does not have the same support and rocker bottom of the other Alegria shoes. It was also not as wide as my other Alegrias. Sadly, I had to return them.

I was looking forward to the Alegria Essence but found it very narrow near the toe joint and it had a minimal arch support. As soon as I tried it on I knew it was not going to work for me because I felt the tightness on the sides. If you have wide feet I am not sure you will find them comfortable. As a result I will have to return.

A very well made shoe. No high arch support. Fitted better with my orthodic. The style was a tad old fashioned and on border line "orthodic looking". Far too chunky round front. I loved the look of the patterned shoe to give my normal European black outfits a lift - alas, kind of washed out look, will def not have worked with long wide pants but with cigar pants for sure.

I love this brand and have a number of their sandals so I was really hoping to love this shoe. Unfortunately, it ran a little small for me. I'm an 8 (38) in all their sandals normally, but I do have one foot that is a bit smaller (almost a 7 1/2). Still, with the sandals, I can adjust them so it works. These just didn't work and even my normally 8 foot felt a little tight. Too bad.

Cute hoe but as others have noted, doesn't have the famous Alegria cork footbed, nor the thick rocker sole. I wore them for about five minutes before knowing unequivocably they wouldn't work for my metarsalgia.

I wasn't crazy about the pattern on this shoe. It looks cheap to me. I wear an 8 1/2 and ordered the 39 because I usually go up a size in sneakers. This was too big, the arch support was in the wrong spot. I'm returning.

I really wanted these shoes to work out; they are so comfortable and attractive! However, I suffer from hallux rigidus/limitus and I need to have more of a rocker sole to all my shoes. The soles of these were not stiff enough. I had to return them, unfortunately! They are great shoes, just not right for my problem feet.
