Very comfortable. Love the soft leather. The soft licorice leather is much softer than the other Algeria slip resistant shoes I've bought in the past. I hope this provides relief from my bunion. I'm on my feet for up to 7 1/2 hours a day as a barista. Can't wait to try them out at work.

I have purchased this brand of shoes for work, that are wonderful. I have terrible heel pain. I was hoping this style would be just as comfortable but it was not the case fore me.

Love these shoes but want more of a summer shoe now and will buy this fall.. Really cute..

OUT-OF-THE-BOX PERFECTION! I slipped these shoes on right out of the box and spent an entire day walking. SOOOO comfortable! I love Alegria shoes and not only do these provide excellent support, they are darn cute!

I am very happy with my Alegra shoes, they're fun, colorful, and comfy. My arch support fit nicely in them so I can wear them all day in comfort.??

I love these shoes! I now have three pairs. They are shoes on the outside and sneakers on the inside. I walk a lot and need a shoe that is comfortable, supportive and stylish enough. These shoes check all the boxes.

Using them as my gym shoes. Plenty of room for my custom orthotic. I like an 'all leather' shoe in the winter time to keep my feet toasty. Great 'walking' shoes too.

I LOVE these shoes. I found them comfortable the first time I wore them - no break in required for me and I have very difficult feet!! They have excellent support and eliminated my sore ankle and knee problems. I will be ordering at least one more pair but wish they had some additional colors/patterns. Alegria classifies these as "Athletic" shoes. My daughters thought they almost looked dressy - even with jeans. I got the black ones and they are a bit shiny. Highly recommend you try these.

I am ret5urning these only because I ordered the red and didn't quite expect the glow-in-the-dark sparkliness of it, but otherwise a well-designed, affordable shoe with surprisingly good arch support.

I love these shoes. Comfortable cushioned previous to my tired feet. Don't need my orthodox supports with these. And the butterflys on the sole was such a wonderful surprise ??????

I have a narrow heel and this is still wide in the heel, otherwise, I feel it fits true to size. It felt comfortable from the first moment I put it on. I wear a 9/39 and that's what I received. When I save some money, I'm going to get another pair. Oh, and I got Monarch. It came with the red shoe laces as pictured, but the second pair of laces they threw in are white -- not sure why they chose white except that the soul is that color, but I can't imagine wearing white laces with that pattern. And while you can certainly wear this barefoot, I think I'll be wearing an ankle sock just to help with the heel width. There will be room for it.

My second pair of Alegria shoes! Comfort and style all in one...will definitely buy more from this brand!

Love this shoe. The toe room is great and the iridescent red color is so pretty. Very comfortable shoe. I have bought several other pair of this same style and other Alegria shoes and I love them all. Very comfortable and different.

Love these shoes for the comfort and cuteness. Great walking shoe and looks good too. Wish they came in narrow width but can still work because they tie.

These are very pretty and sturdily made. They are european sizes. I ordered a full size larger than I usually take. So I got the equivalent of a 9 to 9.5 when I take an 8.5. I had to do the same with the sandals in the same brand.

This is my second pair of Algeria Essence. I could not resist the wild colors. This is a very comfortable walking shoe. Like most of the Algeria styles I have tried, the sizing for this shoe is problematic. I wear a size 9 and according to the sizing guide, should wear a size 39 in this shoe. Although 39 is right length, the arch did not hit me quite right and it was not comfortable to walk in. The size 40 is a perfect fit around the arch and instep and provides comfortable support for all day wear, although it is a bit long and wide in the toe box. It takes a bit of experimentation to find the size that is right for you. When you do, you will love the comfort and support the shoe offers.

I have been searching for years for the "Holy Grail" of shoes--something comfortable, cute, sturdy, with good support and that doesn't look like I borrowed it from my grandmother. This is it! I love this shoe; it is fun and comfy. Great cork insole, but it can be removed to fit your full orthotic. YAY. Bought it in red, too. I have wide feet, and it is plenty wide.

Thank you Zappos! I love these shoes. I got them in black and love the shimmery color. I wear them with leggings, work pants, and jeans. They are very comfortable. A bit stiff at first but soften with time. I have wide feet when the regular width has been good for me so they may run a bit wider than most. Highly recommend them!

Really like these shoes-very comfortable. Great support. Actually had a lot of compliments on them. After foot surgery dr told me Alegria is best brand to wear - yet-most of them are so ugly with those thick soles. Tried these and they work great as an alternative to tennis shoes, yet just as comfy! Kind of wish soles were black, too.

These are cute shoes! They are not quite as comfortable as running shoes but for being cute they are really comfortable! I definitely recommend them!

I got this shoe in red. I own other pairs of Alegria Kayla Professional and wear size 40, good toe room and good width. In the Essence I had to get size 39 as they seem to run a little large so...the size 39 Essence fits like the size 40 Kayla (this is a good thing). I wear size 9 in regular shoes, can't stand my toes hitting/rubbing the tips of my shoes, if you know what I mean. The Essence is an expensive looking shoe and the leather is very nice. I like them because they have clean lines and are modern looking. Don't hesitate, just buy it! I may go back to get the Regal Beauty!

This is a really cute shoe and comfortable but different fit from the other Alegrias. Fits short (one size) and not as wide as the other Alegria. The insole appears to be the same as the other Alegrias that I own (four pairs). I am reordering in a size longer than the my other closed toe/heel Alegrias and two sizes bigger than sandals. Otherwise it is really cute. I only wear Alegrias and love the fit but not always the clunky look. This shoe seems to be a happy medium. I bought black in Gracie finish. Also,the patent leather tongue is kind of stiff.
