It is a great boot, lightweight, and compliant with OSHA regulations. I could easily see a 2 or 3 year lifespan on these boots with an average of 10,000 steps per day. It felt slightly larger than the size I ordered, but it works, and is not uncomfortable.

Love these steel toed keen braddocks. Super duper comfy cushion soles absorb all the impact. They are the perfect height as I can wear my 1/4 merino wool socks with these, not too high, not too low. Love these made in USA keens so much I have 5 different models now. Only problem I had was with small razor blade like cuts in the leather where the leather meets the sole. Don’t know if it’s From cutting the excess sole away while manufacturing? Maybe it’s from the steel toe, where the leather isn’t able to flex when bending down, but it happened on 2 pairs, so it is a common problem. I don’t need the waterproofing as I use them in a warehouse. Just care about comfort and that’s where these excel.

Fit and feel of these is pretty good. I am 6’ 350lbs and wear a 15 4E. So far the support seems pretty good, all day comfort is good, and seem durable. My one gripe is that I prefer a softer insole.

For years, my husband has worn high ankle, police-style combat boots, yet always complained about how badly his feet hurt. After retiring from police work, I FINALLY got him to try a pair of the Keen Utility Braddock Mid AL. The instant he put his feet into these I could see the relief in his face. His ahhhh moment. I have worn Keen for years and always loved them. He figured out that his feet changed as he aged and that he'd been wearing the wrong size & width. Now he feels great!

You might think I bought these because my name is Braddock. Only partially true. Keens are generally good-fitting and comfortable. These are no exception. They run true to size (at least for my foot), and they feel great.

Keen boots are in a class by themselves to begin with, but this Braddock is the creme of the crop. I have owned several pair of Keens over the years and used them as work boots on concrete surfaces day in and day out, and they have all outperformed any other leading brand. Then I got a pair of these Braddocks and wow! I have had a pair now for almost a year and a half and they are still going strong. That is a record, as I usually have the soles worn out about the year mark (much less with other brands). These fit great, are super comfortable, and the quality is just outstanding. I don't know if that is because they are built in the USA or not, but I will gladly pay a few bucks more for that distinction as well.

I wear these 40-60 hours , 5-6 days a week, 9 months a year. I use them for landscaping/construction. I am on my third pair.
That said, I get about one season out of a pair. The boot holds up to almost anything but nothing lasts forever. Near the end of the season I could probably use new inserts (which I believe Zappos or Keen sells) but I opt for new boots. I really beat the heck out of them and I feel I get my monies worth.
Out of the box they feel great, a little stiff but that goes away after a day or two. I wear a size 10.5 and that’s what ordered. Felt true to size. Some days I put ten miles on these and they don’t hurt my feet. They might be a little sore, but these aren’t walking shoes and ten miles is ten miles. The eyelets are metal which is crucial in my line of work and the top ones are hooks. I like that it’s only one hook and not the double that you see a lot on work boots. For me, it makes the lacing up less cumbersome. The toe box is wider than a normal shoe and gives the room I need. The toe on the outside has the extra protection with the wrap around sole which is great. The steel toe holds up to a lot but not indestructible. By the end of the season I can feel the toe box getting a little smaller. You definitely can’t abuse them, but it holds up everyday landscaping and landscape construction.
While these might be a yearly purchase for me, these boots are totally worth the money. I’ve tried others (Keens included) and nothing compares to the comfort and durability.

I bought a pair of these about six months ago and have been wearing them 40 to 70 hours per week at work. They are not comfortable out of the box. It took about two weeks to break them in, but now that they are broken in I can honestly say they are the most comfortable work boots I have ever worn. I have high arches and have difficulty finding sufficient arch support. For me, these boots have a great arch support. I generally log 12,000 to 15,000 steps per day in these boots, including plenty of ladders and stairs and when I go home at the end of the day it is not my feet that are aching. These boots are also truly waterproof. I live in the Portland, Oregon area and spend a majority of my workday outdoors and I have yet to get my feet wet because of a leaky boot. I am buying another pair before Keen decides to stop making them. I have docked one star for comfort because of the break in period.

I love the products Zappos has. Their customer care is the best. I love my Keen boots. Used to swear by Redwing boots but now won't wear anything but Keens, they are great. Thanks Zappos.

I have to wear safety shoes almost every day and most are heavy uncomfortable and just plain ugly! These Keen Utility Braddock boots are the most comfortable, stylish, and durable work boots that I have ever owned. They are well worth the price. I buy primarily Keen hiking boots because they hold up, remain comfortable for years and you truly get what you pay for!

Not the most comfortable boot that I've owned. Is tight across the top of my foot and I have to loosen them up to the point that they are almost to lose. I'm sure it's just me though. Hoping that they break in after a bit of wearing.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Steel lace holes are an upgrade. I have had them about 2 months so far so good. I wanted a lighter weight boot for spring and fall. These boots are lighter put not and true light weight I would put them as a mid weight.

This boot is nicely made but the size seems to be running smaller than advertised.
My foot is 10.5 and I usually order half size bigger just to be on the safe side but this size
11 fits like a size 10.

This is the second time Ive bought these boots. Out of the box, these are the most comfortable work boots that Ive ever owned. However, these new pair are larger than what I was hoping fornot sure why that is but the boots are still nice.

I work in commercial construction and am on my 4th pair of Keen steel toes. These are the only boots Ive never had to break in, which is a very big deal. I have found my boot brand for life and Keen is that brand!

This boot is the answer to the regular Braddock. They forgo the fabric loops for the laces and use metal eyes instead. My previous Braddock's with the fabric loops broke the loops. I assume it was from the laces moving through them as I stood up from squatting. Also, the tongue on the AL's is slimmer and does not stick out of the boot which means my pant leg tends to stay over the boot helping keep dirt and debris from getting into my boots. This boot went on right out of the box fairly comfortable especially after putting in a set of insoles in.

I have been wearing KEEN since 2013 and am proudly hooked. The Braddock mid high is my preferred footwear. They fit my big feet and last a very long time. I wear my boots almost everyday, all day. American built is also important to me.

I bought these about 5 years ago. I don't wear them very often. Yes they are uncomfortable but the biggest problem is that the soles are SLICK as can be. I work in the Alaskan oil fields and yes it gets slicker in the winter with snow and ice however, you can't take a step without falling down. The soles are so hard that I had hopes they would wear down over time. I am not trying to get anything except maybe some advice of how to overcome this problem.

I've worn Keen work boots for years and always thought they were some of the best. I've had a new pair for a week and these are not comfortable at all. The left shoe is lumpy in the sole and the right just doesn't fit right. I assumed they would smooth out after a few days of wearing them but no. The soles of my feet are sore at the end of the day. I don't think quality is as good as it used to be. These are not as comfortable as the boots I've had in the past.
