I bought these shoes a few months ago and loved them at first.They are very comfortable and feel more like a sneaker than a dress shoe, so they are great for walking around in. However, I found that the sole wore down very quickly after only about 50-60 days of wearing them. Unfortunately this came to light in a rain storm when I almost wiped out as they no longer had good traction. I now only wear them on days when there is no rain forecast. For comparability, I have a similar pair of Eccos which I have owned for about 2 years and have probably worn on 300+ days and the soles still has plenty of wear left to them. I wear both for work so they are getting similar use. the Eccos are more expensive but the price differential is not comparable to the difference in durability. I will not be buying the Rockports again.

Great shoe, very classy look, high quality leather, comfortable insole. I've been a wearer of ECCO brand for over 5 years. Wanted to try Rockport because the savings were great. I'm a school principal and walk a lot of steps. This shoe is phenomenal. Only owned for a couple of weeks, so we'll see how the soles wear. If they wear as well as my ECCO, I may have found the perfect replacement at a much better price.

Have bought Rockport dress shoes before and have been very satisfied. The fit and size of this shoe was fine but the leather and construction material felt cheap.

Bought these for my husband who swore by a different brand (these were 1/3 the price on clearance or something) and was not pleased with me. He wears them for work and puts miles on his shoes (pilot running through airports). And, he's fussy. We're at nearly 2 years now. He's still wearing them and still finds them super comfortable. Keeps them shined up and they look great, they're wearing well: these are great shoes. I should have bought two pairs at that price. Gah.

Ordered these in truffle tan. Arrived in 2 days! The photo was a nice medium brown, but they showed up looking a sad grey color. The length was right, but the wide width was what I would describe as a normal width. Called the customer service line and they said they could give me a pair in New Brown Gradient in extra wide. They even extended the sale price from the previous shoes. The New Brown Gradient shoes look amazing! Probably a little more on the dress shoe side rather than casual, but could be worn with new khakis for sure. They're the lightest shoe I think I've ever had and the fit is perfect. I highly recommend Zappos for the customer service - they bend over backward to make sure you're satisfied. Two-day shipping is free both ways too, but you have to drop off returns to UPS (although they said they could give me a USPS label).

The fit was as expected, and being Rockport, they are very comfortable for "dress shoes". I wasn't sure about the style at first, but I've come to love both the color and design.

The shoes are stylish, fit my size 8 4e foot perfectly. Never fail to get compliments on them. Understand the design allows for an elongated toe, but the fit through the arch and width fit perfectly as expected.

The only issue with these shoes is sole is very soft which makes them comfortable, but they wear out after a year of daily use.

Very nice looking shoe, inside cushioning is noticeable, welcome and support is good. Extremely comfortable right out of the box. I wear a 4e width and the width was spot on.

A little snug at first, but quick to form to your foot that it's no longer an issue. Love how light these shoes are. Great for travel packing due to weight.

I went up half a size to try to get a width that works, but I was tripping over the excess length and pinched with the narrow width (EEEE). These are long narrow shoes

The fit and size were great! I use Footlevelers orthotics in my shoes. My feet have never painful, stiff or sore! These are my favorit shoes for years… I scan these orthotics in my office!
