Love these even more than the last iteration of the Torins. I wear a 10.5 ordinarily but 11 fits me in these shoes, as always with Altras. Other reviewers here and elsewhere have complained about a tighter toe box in this Torin, but I disagree. I am crazy sensitive to squished toes, having near duck feet, but these are perfect. Also loving the more durable sole surface than previous versions. On the other hand, Altra, if you are reading this, please stop with the horrifically ugly color combinations.

Altra, where have you been all my life? After running in famous name brand shoes for 30+ yrs., I developed Mortons Neuroma. I have not been able to walk or run for over 9 months. I ordered these for comfort in the toe box and what a relief. If and when I'm able to get back to running, I am now a fan for life. Normally a 9.5, I ordered a 10 and they fit great, roomy and comfortable and don't squish my toes. Why have I never heard of these before? Altra is now my brand for life.

The first running shoes I've tried in a while that don't rub on the top of my toes! Hooray!

I did not buy these as running shoes. I bought them because they look cool and to make my toes happy - and they do a spectacular job of making my toes happy. I've had these shoes for about 36 hours, worn them for 20 of those hours. Today I woke up with no knee pain, and my low back doesn't hurt, for the first time in years - and I haven't even worn them for two full days yet! Yesterday I was able to walk into a store - not riding a scooter. I can't even imagine what it would be like to run in these wonderful, light, cushiony, natural, shoes (a crippling knee injury derailed my life in 2010), but I'll definitely recommend them for everyday 'sneakers'.

Probably the best athletic shoe ever! Wonderfully padded; sufficiently wide foot bed. Terrific for really lengthy walks.

Fabulous fit at size 7. Normally wear a 7.5, however, after reading reviews order 1/2 size down. The shoes fit fantastic and am ordering a backup pair!

I now have 16 pairs of these shoes, including 12 of the previous model the Torin 1.5. I don't wear any other shoe now except for wide Chaco sandals. Used to wear wide New Balance running shoes and have probably tried every "wide" shoe there is. What I discovered with these Altra shoes is that what I needed more than a wide shoe was a foot-shaped shoe. Other shoes just look like torture devices to me now, pushing people's big toe in towards a weird artificial point in the middle. Before Altras, I had all kinds of foot problems, wore orthotics, took my shoes off at every available opportunity, and especially suffered during one week a year when I do volunteer work walking and standing on concrete for 12 - 15 hours a day for 6 days --- I just did this work again last week and my feet recovered amazingly quickly. My only criticism of these shoes is I don't like the colors of the 2.0 model.

I usually run in the Saucony Zealot ISO but my Morton's Neuroma was acting up so I decided to try a zero drop shoe instead of a minimal drop shoe. I had to add aftermarket insoles to this shoe to get enough arch support but the zero drop has been easy to adjust to. I had a bit of soreness in my calves after the first few runs but now I'm fine and enjoying the ride. The Torin is a great running shoe to add to the rotation if you have wide feet or foot problems like Morton's Neuroma. I ordered a half size larger than my street shoes as I usually do for running shoes. The teal color is fantastic too!

I love these shoes...and the Zappos experience was great! Shoes arrived amazingly quickly. Many people said they sized up in this shoe...my experience was different. Normally in running shoes, I always wear a half size bigger (7.5). So that is what I ordered for the Torin 2.0. The 7.5 shoes, however, felt a little long to me (like clown shoes) because of how they fit and slipped slightly in the back. I was able to try a size 7 and they fit perfectly like they were made for my feet - plenty of room in the toe box when standing or moving - so I am sizing down from my regular running shoe size. The cushioning is great and the arch support feels good to me...having had plantar fasciitis and some heel pain, I need the cushioning and arch support. So, although I am returning the 7.5, I will definitely use Zappos again and I do love the feel of these shoes in my regular shoe size, 7.

I had bunion surgery in my 20's, and since then it has always been about my feet in terms of taking the best care of them. I am now in my 50's and want to remain active and physically fit. Running is difficult without a shoe that allows my foot to expand and yes, it probably even swells a bit during exercise, but Altra Torin's have saved me. Like other athletic shoes, I tend to need to replace them about every 9 months, but these shoes - with the wide toe box, and wonderful cushioning, are a blessing to my feet as I try my hardest to remain fit and healthy. Thank you Altra, for these wonderful shoes, and Zappos for the best website to deal with for ordering these shoes.

I love these shoes! I found Altra after doing some research on wide toe box shoes after having bunion surgery and wishing to prevent a second bunion from growing further. I had no idea what zero drop meant, but it's amazing how much I'm loving it now. After wearing conventional athletic shoes for decades of running, my feet have never felt so at home. At first my arches were sore from not having any arch support, but that's gone now and I feel my they've strengthened. I recently started wearing toe spacer "Correct Toes" and they fit perfectly inside this shoe.

Wow. I love the Torin 2.0. I think the thing I like most about this shoe is how "bouncy" it is. I feel like it's extremely responsive despite being so lightweight. I also really like Altra's "foot-shape" toe box. (WHY ARE OTHER BRANDS NOT DOING THIS!?) It allows my feet to relax to the point where I don't even think about my feet when I'm running. Well done Altra!

I have arthritic feet and found it painful to run or jog. I tried Hokas and, while I absolutely loved the cushiony feel, they were just to narrow for my feet and made things worse. After doing some reading, I ordered these Altras. It's a great shoe, roomy and comfortable. I can't give it 5 stars because the shoe is not as cushioned as the Hoka. As for sizing, I usually go a size up in a running shoe and that worked for these as well.

Love this shoe, hope it helps painful feet from running, plantar fasciitis and sore toes. I wish I knew about Altras when I took up running (triathlon) in 2011. I haven't worn them outside yet but I have a good feeling about them. The toe box design makes so much sense. I will break myself into zero drop gradually as I was using 12mm. Cool colors. Ordered half size bigger.

Wonderful shoes when they made them in a 5. As a smaller woman, who is an extensive runner it has become very difficult to buy shoes that fit properly, reduce my potential for injury, have good cushioning and a sole, like the zero drop, which I feel is an excellent base to run on. I had purchased Torin 1.5 in a 5, simply loved them. Re-ordered them again in a 5, again loved them. Went to re-order my third pair only to find out that the Torin 1.5 is gone and the Torin 2.0 will not be made in a 5. I read the website that said they run small, ordering a 5.5. They were huge on me, almost like clown shoes. Thus, if you are a true 5 or even closer to a 4.5, forget this brand. What a shame. I will now have to find a new shoe - too bad, these were great.

I LOVE this Altra shoe! Fits perfectly, generously cushioned, nice wide and high toebox. One thing that is curious: why are the shoe laces so long?

I love Altras! This is my second pair. I have had surgery on both feet and they are the only running shoes that do not squeeze in the toe box. They are not the prettiest, but worth it for he comfort.

I love these shoes. I have bunions - both kinds so I need the extra room for the toe box part of my foot, but the heel is normal and I have high arches. Every other shoe of all types - running shoes, boots etc, are wide everywhere but these shoes are only wide and roomy where I need the room. I wish Altra made dress shoes too with this shape - an Altra version of a Frye boot and casual dress/work shoes. I must warn that the first pair I received had to be sent back. My podiatrist was the one who noticed that the heel of one shoe was abnormally lifted up - almost twisted up - on the outside, forcing my foot to pronate. I sent them back and immediately Zappos sent me a new pair which are perfect. These are great shoes and a great company!

Review Text: This is my favorite ever tennis shoe. It fits the shape of your foot! Every time I put them on, it's an 'ahhh' moment. The Alta web page helps you pick your size. It even compares your shoe to your current shoe. I went up a size.

I discovered Altra Zero sneakers about two years ago and now I will not wear any other brand. The wider toe bed is so comfortable and they are so light.

If you suffer from Morton's Neuroma, you must get these shoes. They have a huge toe box. I wear 8½ or 9 in street shoes. The 9½ was the perfect size for me in these shoes. Now I can walk my dog again! Note that "true to size" reflects for the design of this shoe!

Love these shoes! I'd given up on finding a pair of running shoes that had the proper size toe box. These fit beautifully. I did have to place extra lace holes to eliminate heel slip. Love the colors. Love the 0 drop heel.

I recently made the switch to Altra and I have never looked back. I use these shoes for all my outside road running and I love them. They've carried me through a few half marathons since my purchase earlier this past summer. I used to run in Brooks Pure Flow but these shoes have much better cushioning for those longer runs and I love how much room my toes have to wiggle. Highly recommend!! I would recommend buying a half size larger than usual (I wear an 8 in Brooks when I run, so I bought the Altras in an 8.5).

Good at 1st, does seem to wear out faster than other shoes esp soles and cushioning. Put approx 250mi on it and was having heel pain which disappeared once I got new the Paradigm shoes. Laces were way too long
