Way too tight on the toe box. I ordered my usual Dansko size, and thought they would be fine, but they're not.; So bummed I didn't return them, thinking I could loosen them up. They are not sized the same way as the clogs which I have worn for years. They top of the boot clamps down on your foot, and I have even tried wearing bare foot to get more room in the boot, to no avail. Peds won't work either. Order a size up. Sad that I spent a lot of $$.

Love these!! Thought I would never be able to wear any kind of heel after foot injury, but with these I can! Wish I had bought the black too when I had the chance. I get compliments all the time on these. They are very stylish, look great with leggings and skinny jeans. I sprayed them once with suede protector, and still look brand new even though I wear them all the time.

I wear a 9, And I originally purchased these in a 39. They were incredibly snug when I tried them on, but assumed that since they were leather, they would stretch. No such luck. Wore them for four days and on the fourth day of crippling pain finally asked Zappos if they’d accept an exchange before I took them to be stretched at the tailor. Luckily, customer service was amazing and accepted the shoes back and sent me a size 40 which arrived THE NEXT DAY! The 40s are SO MUCH MORE comfortable, no more pinched toes but ironically I do wish they fit more snugly. If a 39 1/2 existed it’d be the perfect fit. But they are very comfortable and stylish and I’ve received a lot of compliments on them. Not a ton of arch support (I’m used to Sanitas and Danskos no longer are partners with them so they don’t have the same footbed) but nothing that a little arch support insole couldn’t fix.

I LOVE these boots, have owned one pair for years and just bought them in the taupe and the black so that I can wear them with everything. I have foot pain if I wear shoes with too thin a sole, and a bunion, and all kinds of things that make me picky about shoes... and these are ALWAYS comfortable. And stylish: I feel the perfect degree of dressed up in them. The only issue I can think of -- and this is far from a fault in the shoe -- is that if I buy the right size to wear them barefoot (which is how I usually wear them) then they are a bit too small to wear socks. Love!

Absolutely love the Dansko Maria. I have them in three colors and they are my go to shoe. I get compliments on them almost every time I wear them. Even my doctor swears by them and wears them year round. The nubuck style is a bit snug at first, but they will stretch and adjust to the shape of your feet overtime. Don't give up on them. They are the best.

Fits perfectly. Footbed has more cushioning than the old Danskos I have from medical residency. These are super cute too.

These boots are adorable and I really wanted to keep them, however, my heel is narrow and slips quite a bit and I'm afraid that they are just not going to work for me. I'm sad to send them back!

These are the cutest faux clogs you can find. I ordered the 37 as I am a size 7 and my measurements for the Dansko chart fit the 37. These were at least a half to full size too large. Should’ve ordered the 36! I tried adding a shearling liner but they were too tight in width like that. I had to give a start for comfort but I honestly don’t know if they are comfortable because I didn’t get to wear them.

I love love love these boots. I spent all day in them and did a fair amount of walking. I have narrow feet and these are too wide for my feet, but I still love them! Highly recommend!

I liked everything about these boots, but the ankle of the boot was too wide, even with shoe inserts.

You guys. I basically live in these shoes. All the comfort and durability of a Dansko clog, but with this stylish bootie upper. They also make you a couple of inches taller without having to manage a heel. The first day I wore these I spent 5 hours walking around Berkeley and I had nary a foot pain. Could not recommend highly enough.

My foot measures 6 1/2 so that should be a 37 in Danskos. I have had both 36 and 37 in 2 different styles of Dansko clogs so wasn’t sure which size to go with for the Maria bootie. I ended up ordering the 36 and it fits fine with a thin sock. If I wanted to wear a thicker sock, which I don’t, I would need to go with a 37.

These shoes are super cute! I'm returning for the black because they are for fancy work events when I have to stand for 12 hrs and I think these will be the most comfortable shoes!

I recently bought Dansko sandals and closed toed shoes and they fit great. These boots seem to have less space in the toe area which aggravated my bone spurs, and were also quite loose in the heel as several other people noted. The style and material was great and I really wish I could have made these work!

These are beautiful but they are too big in the heel for my foot. They slip off my feet when I walk. They also rub my ankles. I am sending them back.

I have very wide, very flat feet. It's difficult to find cute comfortable shoes, but these are perfect. I love the Scandinavian look, and I got compliments from some cool artists at a hipster market the first day I wore them. The shaft height is perfect, it just meets my skinny jeans with the tiniest peek of sock underneath when I walk, but my ankles are not restricted (important when I am sitting on the floor with my baby). The heel height gives me a great lift but it feels completely walkable. AND THEY ARE THE MOST COMFORTABLE BOOTS EVER. The footbed is anatomically correct with great arch support. There is some padding and the material of the sole seems to be shock absorbing. I wear Birkenstocks in the summer, and finally I have found something comfortable but warm for the winter! The taupe suede is beautiful and pretty close to the color in the photo. I liked it better for a casual look than the black suede. The 37 feels true to size; as wide as you would expect from Dansko and the right length. My only complaint, if I have to find a fault, is that the zipper is a little tough to get up and down.

I feel like a super model in these shoes. I love them! The color goes perfectly with everything. I wore them for Christmas parties with no issues. They are a little tight across the top of the foot but it doesn't give me any issues. Length feels true to size. I wear a size 9 and fit the 39. Tried on a 40 shopping in a store but felt a little floppy so ordered a size down. I would definitely order again

I was hoping to love these as a more fashionable but just as comfy alternative to my Dansko clogs but even with ordering a size up from my usual size (normally a 40 in clogs-went with 41 for this shoe and the Dansko Shirley after the 40 Shirley was too tight) the Maria is just too narrow for my feet. I do have a bunion and a wider toe box but the 40's normally do the trick. Note: The 40 in the Shirley was a bit too tight-and thanks to Zappos, I ordered the 41 and the next day I was happy as a clam in the 41. I thought it would be the same with this shoe but not so. I sadly had to return the 41 as even if they stretched a bit, I could tell the shape or cut or style or something was just different enough from the clog and Shirley that it was not going to work this time. If you have a slightly narrower foot-give it a GO. I am disappointed but still have my Shirley's so 1 out of 2 isn't bad! Thanks Zappos!

Love these. In shoes I wear an 8, but in boots I always get an 8.5, so I ordered a 39 instead of a 38 in this clog boot. If there were such a thing as a 38.5, that would have been perfect. The 39 is a tad too big, but I just wear thicker socks to compensate.

ok, this is my third pair of these shoes. I now have pretty much every color. I find these even more comfortable than my regular dansko clogs. Some seem concerned about nubuck, but I have found both taupe and light gray color nubuck hold up well in moderately bad (rainy) weather. These look much cuter on than you might think and are good with pants and skirts/dresses. I always get compliments from strangers on them! I also just got the harlene. on first try on they seem good as well, but haven't tested them out yet

I love Dansko shoes. I'm on my second pair of these boots in taupe and decided to go for the black suede. They're great - comfortable, practical, look good with jeans, skinny or otherwise. One caution - you better love the because they last forever! Only get better with time.

I love these boots. I had a pair of black leather Maria boots that I wore for a year and then the zipper broke. So I just got a pair of black nubuck ones (since they don't have the plain leather anymore). Both types of leather seem to fit the same (although some people have written that the nubuck stretches out more). I haven't had the nubuck ones long enough to see if they stretch out. My feet are a 9 to 9.5 and the 40 fits me. I tried the 39 and it was too tight. My heel does slip up and down a little. These boots are comfortable and stylish and I wear them all the time!

As noted by other reviewers, these run on the narrower side and feel a little smaller or less roomy than other Danskos I have ordered. You may need to order a size up if you have wider feet or want a bit more room or have orthotics/shoe inserts. The comfort cannot be matched. Same great clog feel on the feet - great arch support, no pain or numbness with morton's neuroma - but they look more stylish than straight up Dansko clogs. I can wear them for hours. I got them in Taupe and am thinking of ordering them in the other colors too!

SOOOO comfortable, with an elegant, hip profile for a clog -- YET I'm seriously pondering returning them. Why? Because they're difficult to put on. I'm a size 9 with an average arch and the size 40 were easy/normal to get on, but moved around on my feet too much when I walked. The size 39 fit my foot well but are SO difficult to put on. I think the low vamp (which gives the shoe its more 'elegant' line) also makes it difficult to put them on. The vamp feels great when I have them on though. I just bought a shoe horn and will continue to road test them in my apartment because I really want to keep them.
