Delicate but sturdy. But very narrow. My foot was hanging off of the sides of the shoe.

The toe box on the Ireland is a bit, well, shallow, for lack of a better word. The top of it hit the top of my big toe. Most of the shoe is a softer leather, but the toe is stiff and I fear that it'll cause discomfort when I walk, because it rubbed against the nail with every step. I'm disappointed because the shoe was very nicely cushioned and I like the zipper detail. These shoes seem very comfy other than the toe box.

I love Cobb Hill and I have more of their shoes in my closet than any other brand. I love my Aubrey styles and so I thought I would love Ireland as it kind of looks like a flat Aubrey. But Ireland just isn't as attractive on my foot as Aubrey is. Also, I found the zipper unnecessary and distracting. I could hear the zipper grip flopping on every step. It has to go back.

These shoes are very cute, but I'm going to have to return them. Ten minutes of walking around and the backs of my heels were getting rubbed raw. They are good quality, and even have a soft zipper cover (on the inside) to prevent it, but the top of the zipper was still digging into the back of my heel. I could tell they would be very comfortable otherwise. My other pair of Cobb Hill are the most comfortable shoes I have, so I might try another style without the heel zipper.

I love the look of the shoe . The toe fits great but the heel istoo wide I put a none slip liner in the heel it is still too wide. It still slips on my heel .I do have a narrow heel I wish someone made a shoe that had a narrow heel shoe as well as a narrow toe. Other Cobb Hill shoes I bought have a strap in the back instead of a closed in heel and they are great. I do wish these would fit better.

I love the Cobb Hill Audrey and thought this would be a "no heel" version of that shoe. I ordered it in my usual size, 9W, but it was too snug. Had to return.

The Pewter is like a dirty gold instead of the silver in the picture. The bottom is soft but the inside of the top part is not and feels like it'd cause blisters if you walk around. They also appeared to have much more arch support in the picture than in real life. Cute sandal but I expected more from Cobb Hill.

This is a cute shoe but the wide is not as wide as other Cobb Hill's that I have (including one with the same upper but with a slightly higher heel). I really wanted this to work but it rubs my feet so I'll be sending it back.

Received these today. I don't normally take a wide width but ordered wide based on reviews. It fits like a regular width shoe for sure. Not sure the shoe being as narrow as it is has enough support for my feet. I can't even imagine how narrow the regular width must be. Not sure whether I am keeping them yet because since my arches fell I need a 10.5 in most shoes which is not made. I try 10's hoping they run big but these definitely do not.

I think these are cute. I ordered my size in 6 1/2 wide. They are way too long. I put an arch support in them but they still had too much room in the toe box and the strap, does feel a bit too high for my foot. I am going to send them back and I might order a half size down. I need the wide, I think since the toe box is closed and my toes are wide. I will rate them again if I decide to purchase the smaller size. Perhaps they will work. I really like that they have a back to them so that I can put an arch support in them.

The Ireland is nicely made, quality work. Pewter is a nice color - not bright, but just a little shine for fun - would go with many colors. Sizing: I normally wear a size 7M. Because of previous experience with Cobb Hill, I ordered a size 6 1/2, which was just about right - perhaps a touch too long. This confirms my suspicion that Cobb Hill runs long and narrow. Arch support was just okay (I have plantar fasciitis.) Problem with this shoe for me is that the style foreshortens my "athletic" calves too much. Returning. No fault of the shoe: just the wrong style for me.

These have a pretty strap pattern and are comfortable. To me they seemed a bit "grannyish" and the color is a bit odd - not exactly dark beige, but not grey either. Not the right shoes for me.

I really wanted to keep this shoe; it was cute and fit the wardrobe need. But, while the length was good, the toe box was fine, and the heel was just this side of slipping, the sole of the sandal is ridiculously narrow...my foot hung off about 3/8" on the side opposite my arch. If they'd been $40 shoes I probably would've just lived with it, but for this price...nope. Going back.

This shoe has a very narrow food bed. They do not look very good on a wide foot as your foot overhangs! I am disappointed because the shoe is very pretty. I will be returning.

The zipper up the heel is uncomfortable and makes the heel too wide. The straps across the front were scratchy. The padding felt good.

These weren't as comfortable or as cute as I had hoped they'd be, but the worst was the noise the zippers made. They had to go back.

This shoe did not quite meet my expectations for appearance or fit. The finish was a bit more shiny than I like, the heel slipped when I walked. The sole was more stiff than I wanted. To be fair, I ordered one size up (for the summer).

Not bad, overall. On the plus side, the color is great and they are fairly versatile. I've easily worn these casually with shorts and a shirt and with a nice summer dress for dinners. On the less than great side, I cannot wear these for longer periods of time walking. I wore these out for walking around in Europe during the summer for about 5 hours, and I ended up with blisters on the back of my heels and on two different areas on the top of my toes. Sort of a bummer. Definitely not for more active activities.

These are beautiful shoes but the heel cup is very deep, coming up to the ankle bone. I'm looking for a cushion to raise my heel up! Otherwise, a great style shoe. They do not contain latex.

I ordered this shoe in black and tan. They are labeled the same size, but the black pair are wider than the tan pair. I am returning the black pair.

The toe box is too shallow. The zipper wasn't an issue as I feared, But still, who thinks zippers on a heel or for that matter, stitching on the insole is a good idea? Please, tenderfoots like me want to keep it simple. Zappos, I will keep trying. I wear an orthotic and selection drops 90% due to it.

The shoe was cute; however, it just didn't feel good on my feet. I have really bad feet and can't seem to find anything that is comfortable on me. Reviews sounded good but not for me.

Wanted to keep this shoe. It's soft and cute but the footbed is really too narrow. If a shoe is marked Wide, the footbed should be wide enough so your entire foot fits, not just the middle of your foot. I wanted to use an orthotic with this shoe but the footbed is only about 2" wide. New Balance please address this issue.

I bought the Cobb Hill Aubrey sandals and loved that 8.5 narrow fit perfectly. This is a major coup for me, as I have extremely narrow feet with extremely narrow arches. But alas, the 8.5 narrow in the Ireland was too short, while the 9 N was too long. No sandal for the middle bear.
