I'm disappointed ths item has become defective after only five uses. Rivet on the handle broke and now I can't snap the handle together.

This bag is advertised as a durable expedition bag. I used this on an Everest Base Camp/island peak climb trip. This bag can not hold up to the rigors of expedition travel. Within two days one of the handle snaps broke. Several days later a small tear in the bag presented itself. All of my climbing gear (crampons, ice axe, etc.) were bubble wrapped so just the boots or helmet tore this bag. This is a piece of luggage, nothing more. I tried to click the exchange/return button and was directed to an inactive URL. There is no customer service link on the mobil site. I would have preferred to give the company a chance to exchange the item and I would give the bag another chance on another trip but this seems like the only way to voice my concerns with this bag.

First off, we love Eagle Creek duffels. We have a couple No Matter What duffels, and this was our first purchase of a rolling duffel. It is a great size for our kids. But after only three trips (6 plane rides) the fabric already has a hole near the wheel casing! We've had it less than a year. The fabric on our other duffels is fine. And it seems that fabric wear is not covered by the "no matter what" warranty! Sadly, can't recommend this product.

[[ASIN:B00AYWMQL0 Eagle Creek No Matter What Rolling Duffel - Large]] It amuses me that the name of this bag is "No Matter What," because i hadn't even entered no matter what territory on my recent trip to Costa Rica before one of the wheel wells broke on me. I handled the bag as I would have handled any other piece of rolling luggage and I have luggage that's lasted me for years, under rough conditions. I got this bag for 3 reasons: 1. It had wheels 2. It was a good size, and seemed easy to carry if needed 3. It had straps to really tighten the whole bag to quickly secure contents and make it more compact. When I arrived in Costa RIca at a field station where they are doing sea turtle research, I got off of the small boat that brought us to the location, placed the bag in an upright position to begin rolling it, and the wheel well immediately broke on me. The anchors for the wheel housing unit snapped and it looked like the wheel was going to fall off. Considering that this was only the 2nd day of a 13 day trek, i was very concerned. The wheel, thankfully, did stay in place, but the rolling was difficult. And it was a brand new bag, so now I have an expensive, brand new bag, that is broken. I had under packed the bag to leave myself room and so I don't think weight was an issue. Also, there is no way that I would have been able to carry it, if it was too heavy, i'm only 5 feet tall. I had really high hopes for this bag as I did some research before buying this one. My other complaint is there are no compartments inside the bag. I think that a bag this size should have at least one or two side compartments on the inside to help with streamlining how things can be most efficiently packed into it. The rest of the bag was great, but without the wheels, what's the point, no matter what?

I was enthusiastic about this but disappointed in it. When rolling it, it repeatedly flipped over and I had to drag it. Can't stand up to pull it; needs to be at an angle and held low. Bad design.

Bought duffel for African trip. Didn't roll worth a hoot. Ended up dragging through the airport. Very unhappy.

Sadly, this Eagle Creek product didn't work at all. I filled it with what I needed for a several day trip, then wheeled it to my car. Without any stiffness to the bottom, it folded in half. Rolling was the worst disaster. It turned over and over, knocked out a walkway light and I ended up wrestling, dragging and pulling it. So I sent it back and got a rolling duffel with a platform base and a longer, stiffer handle.

The "No Matter What" warranty doesn't cover bad design. The bag and it's handle are not stiff enough and the bag has a tendency to roll over even on flat surfaces. Tried to contact customer service and the response left me angry. Used the words "PER HEADQUARTERS" and made it seem that they don't care. Guess that must be the case. Darn, I had a lot of their items.
