Too small, need 1/2 size larger

If Huaraches and docksides had a baby, I think this is what it would grow up to look like. I've been wanting a pair of summer sandal/shoes that will take me for long walks without hurting me or building up summer heat. Something that has some support, but in which socks are not needed and which have lots of air passing through. Most sandals just don't have enough [toe] protection and most sneakers make my feet too hot. These looked like they might be a good solution, and they are but it took a bit for me to find the right size. Normally an 8.5 or a 9 at most, I needed these in a 9.5. The 9 fit, but I could tell that the "macrame" was going to be a problem for my big toe after a while. I've never worn a 9.5 in any shoe but decided to give them a try. Perfect. They're airy and comfortable. No more sweaty summer feet for me. Here's what everyone wants to know.... Yesterday was my first day in these and I had a little rubbing away of skin on my middle toe (one foot only). I put a bandaid on and today decided to throw caution to the wind as I took a walk for an hour or so just to see how they felt. I figured an hour wasn't long enough to make me miserable if they were really uncomfortable but it was long enough to give these a good enough work out. So far so good. I was very very comfortable in them and absolutely no more skin rubbed off. The footbed feels very natural. I will update this review if anything changes. Now as for whether these are cute or ugly? I guess it's a little bit of both. I've decided to call these cute. You might have different ideas. They really do remind me of the progeny from a huarache and docksider union. I purchased my first pair in both the yellow and the bright blue. The blue was a bit too overwhelming for my taste. The yellow was on the edge enough without falling off ;-) I also purchased a pair for a friend who absolutely loves his (he, too needed a half size up from his usual size) BOTTOM LINE: if, like me, you hate having hot feet but you like to walk and want more support and coverage than the average sandal, AND you don't mind being a bit out there with your footwear, these are an excellent choice. Order one half size larger than you would normally wear and you should be fine

These are the most comfortable sandal type shoe I have ever owned. They have great arch support. I ordered a half size up based on other reviews and they fit perfect.

I have two pairs and they are the most comfortable sandal/tennis shoe I have ever worn and like another reviewer said, no sweaty summer feet! I love e them! Also get asked about them all the time, om a positive note :)

A little effort to get on. Material fairly comfortable. Has rubbed a little on one toe. I think it will work out ok...size seems good.

Oh, how I love these shoes! I wear orthotics, so I ordered the shoes just a bit larger than I'd actually wear. They hide my orthotics, are plenty wide for my foot *and* my orthotic, and have a nice sturdy sole to give me the support I need. Because my foot and orthotic fit so comfortably, I'm thinking these must run a bit wide? I can fit my orthotics into some other shoes, but can't wear them after all because the shoe itself is too flimsy and I don't get the foot stability I need. So happy to have cute shoes (though my teen son thinks they're lame :) ) after being stuck in sturdy running shoes for the longest time! Thank you, Keen and Zappos! P.S. I can also "hide" my orthotics in Keen Rose sandals.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. Bought the blue and am seriously considering purchasing the pink. Late 50's and these are so comfortable - right out of the box. Love the fit, the support, the look. Never had a shoe like this before. Typically buy orthodic Vionic. These are just as supportive and comfortable. Winner!!!

These are so cute, and go with everything. I really like that these don't look chunky and masculine, like some others in this category. These are light weight (lighter than I expected!), and not hot on the feet at all. VERY comfortable. There is no rubbing of the macrame cord on my feet. The leather is very soft on the foot as well. These really exceeded my expectations, and I can't wait to get another pair in maybe black for a dressier look. I like these better than Merrils.

Ordered for work due to color choices.Pretty comfy, but soles are thin , you can feel rocks not stiff enough for me. arch support was also lacking for me.after wearing these I put on my Chacos sandals and my feet say ahhhh. I own many chaco sandals , so after owning these I will try the chaco shoes. I ordered the keens cuz i didn't want black chaos, but i guess id rather have black chaco and have a good shoe. we will see how the chaos fair. just ordered them

This is my second pair of this model, my other pair is a different color. I have narrow-ish feet with a high arch and these are very comfortable and have good adjustments on the fit. Even though I have rather tender feet, these are very comfortable and I have had no rubbed spots on my feet, even when walking some distance over rough terrain. They are my summer go-to shoes for comfort and ease of use.

I like the support under my a arches.

I bought these shoes in the light gray and to take to Europe for walking shoes. I have worn them several times and they are very comfortable. Good purchase.

I almost returned them, but didn't have room in my return box, so kept them out for later. Meanwhile, I saw a review where someone's podiatrist recommended them for her problem with her metatarsal joint (ball of the foot). I, too, have this problem. So I wore them around house and they grew on me. I first thought they were so ugly. But I now think they're ok, and should go well with my Columbia sportswear in a grey color called tusk. More importantly, they feel great! Glad I didn't return them.

Comfortable right out of the box. Very lightweight, but supportive, and adjustable. Already my favorites for summer. I'm not going to say they are attractive, though. I think I look like I have big duck feet. Never mind, its worth it.

The photo makes these look more brown than they actually are. They are definitely olive which is fine for me. I have a shallow foot with a wide forefoot and these fit great. They do run a little bit small - I always wear either a 9.5 or 10 and I needed the 10. Arch and support are fine-not too much or too little but enough cushioning that my back doesn't hurt at the end of the day. Would def recommend.

nice shoe right out of the box, true to size, comfortable, could have a touch more support . just may have to get another color. love them as they are fun and different.

Nice arch support. Recently took these with me on a trip to the islands, great in the water, dry fast and sand washes out easily.

OMG! OMG! Just got these - they are so comfy!! Can't wait for the warmer weather to hit here in Minnesota so I can wear this every day. I purchased the midnight navy and love the color. I can see why people buy more than one pair. These are a homerun for KEEN -- and I'm picky about my shoes and comfort.

These are the cutest ugly shoes I ever purchased! So comfortable and airy I will be wearing theses all summer. I normally wear a 9.5 in athletic shoes and the 9.5 Uneek is a perfect fit. I have narrow flat feet and I'm able to cinch these to fit my foot. My husband also got a pair and he has wide, high instep feet and usually doesn't wear sandals, but he loves these. Great shoe that should fit most any type of foot.

These are are not your ordinary Keen sandals. They have the comfort you expect but they are incredibly light weight. You forget you are even wearing shoes. The support is good and allows you to walk miles in comfort. These are my new go to shoes.
