Fit well, purchased for a 10 yr old.He is very happy with them. Used them for a bunch of hiking first week and no blisters which is a big win for me. A little heavy but he didn't seem to notice. Added an arch support insole and he was off!

These are very well constructed shoe but they are on the sturdy/chunky side. I originally bought them for my older slender boy with feet on the narrow side but instead they ended up fitting his stocky younger brother with wider feet. Serious treads on these.

For the little one who wants cool shoes to be just like the big ones. Stylish, sturdy, and fun.

We are so happy with these shoes. They are thick and durable. They look good on our son's feet. They are great for hiking and rain. I really like the grey/blue color combo. It will take some adjusting for our five-year-old since they are more heavy than he is used to but we plan for him to wear these when we are out hiking so we wanted something tough and durable. We are ordering a smaller pair for our three-year-old, we are so happy with these! They seem really high-quality.

These look really cute on my son and are very durable and rugged feeling. I thought he wouldn't like how heavy they are but he has not complained so far. He wears them for hiking as well as just to school some days with jeans. I feel like they will last a long time and be worn a lot.

This is a sturdy hiking shoe - well made. Good traction and water proofing on soggy, muddy trails including puddles of standing water. This shoe is much better quality than I expected in a kids hiking shoe. It also works with full length orthotic insoles.

Because they do not have 1/2 sizes we went up a half size. They are bit large but with a heavier sock its fine and won't be long to where they will fit perfect.

Seems like a quality shoe. Awesome tread. Seem like they will be quite durable. My son said they felt a little heavy but is still very happy with them. ??

Bought these for my 9-year old in June. They fit well and held up to 4 months of use as his only shoes, which is amazing for how much wear he runs around. Will definitely be buying these again.

I LOVE these shoes. (and so does my 4 year old) They are nice quality and have held up really well against a very busy kid. The laces were a little long, but if you double tie them there is no problem.

After a poor customer service experience with another shoe company, my wife and i went on a hunt for waterproof shoes fro our children. I found these shoes on a recommendation from Zappos based on a previous pair I had purchased and I couldn't;t be happier with the recommendation. These shoes look like they could hike Everest yet are comfortable enough that my son can wear them like any other sneaker. These are fantastic shoes for kids, they hold up really well in snow and rain.

This shoe runs small. We have now ordered a size up. As others say it is on the heavy side but my son liked it none the less.

Hi-Tec are an excellent choice for big kids. My grandson finds them very comfortable, likes the design and I would add excellent quality. During last 3-4 years we have tried several models and all of them are great.

I bought these shoes for my seven year old son to walk trails and do some hiking. I really like the look of the shoe. It's very durable but a little heavy. It is such a great looking shoe, he not only wears it hiking but also to school. I would definitely recommend this shoe.

Needed a waterproof shoe in a climate that doesn't get a lot of snow but gets "wet" in the winter. Can't wear a snow boot when hiking and rain boots are just a bit clunky for a young child to hike. This is a very early review because we just received the shoes. These were not the same as the usual shoe size. Other reviewers said "size up" a little so I chose the next size up from the current shoe size and it seemed to work for all three sizes. There is a little more "weight" to them but it's better than a clunky boot and it looks more as a shoe. the only concern I had when inspecting them is the area under the laces. It seemed as though it would "bite" into the foot and be uncomfortable. There were no comments on that and I slipped my own foot into the largest size I had and it seemed to be a soft enough cushion not to be an issue. Add a thicker sock and hopefully, will work. If there are "waterproof" issues, I will be sure to amend the review.

We sized up 1/2 size and it seemed to be perfect for my son. He wore them camping and must have loved them because they came home caked in mud. It brushed off well enough. We’ll use these for all of our camping trips.

This was returned because my skinny 10 year old felt it was too stiff for his feet.

My 7 year old kept getting holes in the end of his tennis shoes from where he would play and drag his toes while riding his bike. This shoe definitely resolved that issue, but he outgrew them way faster than expected, so I think ordering up a size would have been better. The shoe laces did unravel fairly quickly, but replacing those is no big deal.

This was a real hit of a shoe. Very stylish, comfortable, great waterproofness which was really useful. However, when the shoes got really wet they took a long time to dry out. Anyway, we took off a point for durability. The shoes seemed sturdy but one fell apart (after about 8 months of mostly daily wear). The sole separated from the shoe. I guess it was near enough time to declare it outgrown, anyway, but I guess I expect about a year from a shoe.

Great shoe, my boys love them. Fits true to size. Only think is that these are very heavy shoes.

These shoes are well constructed and are at a great price. The only problem is that they seem wide in heel so they flip-flop when my son walks; they are fine in length and toe. I am disappointed to have to return them.

A hiking shoe. Heavy and stiff. My kid didn’t like them. Seem to run large as well.
