I recently purchased Prana Halle hiking pants from Zappos (size 6) which fit well, so I wanted to love their board shorts, too. At age 59, I'm long and happily finished with swimwear that shows sags and cellulite. I've worn board shorts and tankini tops for years to swim, kayak and on my waverunner. These shorts with 8% Spandex have way too much stretch (the hiking pants are only 3%) for my older body- more structure, please! I'm 5'6" 132 lbs. Of the sizes 4, 6 and 8, only the 6 could be called a "fit" but not a good one, just baggy and shapeless. (Like me :-) Sadly, I returned them. I'm giving them 4 stars for style because they're attractive, just not on my figure.

These have really nice give. They will be great for when I'm active at the beach or around the pool.

I really like these, but they do run big! I normally wear a size 6, and ordered a small (4-6) and they are a bit large on me. They are the perfect length however! Will be returning them for an XS, not sure if they will fit or not. (I am 5'4" and weigh 130#)

The color is different in real life. Unattractive shade of pink.

nice enough. but the velcro closure in the front is of poor quality and kept popping open. had to return.

My understanding was that "board" in board short referred to surf boards. So I though board shorts were shorts you could surf in. A loose cut, wide leg short you could surf in. If a pair of loose, wide-leg shorts came down to your knees you could surf in them. With a short this short with a wide leg I expected a panty liner. You couldn't possibly wear this in any water/swimming activity without constantly exposing yourself. Ridiculous. They are cut exactly like gym shorts used to be cut. Would you ever wear gym shorts without panties. I am not even going to bother trying them on.

Huge fit! I'm 5'4" and 105 lbs., and I ordered a size small. They were so big they just fell right off of me when I tried them on. I'm not sure an XS would even be small enough, so I'm not going to bother reordering. Definitely order one size down, possibly two. They are cute boardshorts if they fit you.

Super comfortable and the length was just right. I'm 5'5 and ordered the large. They were a tiny bit too big, but I'd rather them be a little big than too tight -- which is what the mediums would have been.

I'm very happy with these boardshorts. They fit true to size, they're comfortable, and they dry quickly.

Love these shorts! I wear them in the pool, gardening, hiking and whenever. Super comfy. The waist runs a little big, but nothing that can't be remedied with the tie right at the waist! I'd rather the waist be too big than too small - I hate restrictive waistbands. Bought them in black and purple and I'd get more colors if they had others I love, like pink and green and...

I ordered these in every color. I love the soft fabric that stretches but keeps its shape. I am 5' 116 lbs and I bought size small. They were a little big the xs was too tight. I wear these riding jet skis and other things and absolutely love them!!! I ordred my daughter some and she loved them so much she ordered herself more of them. Thank you Zappos for letting me exchange some til I found correct size.

Runs on the small size. I almost always wear an 8 in Prana but the medium was a little snug.

These are great board shorts. I love the color and the fact that there is a zip pocket in the back. Based on other reviews, I ordered both an XS and a S. I am 5'6" and weigh 125, and normally wear a size 0/2. However, I found the S fit me better.

I love these shorts, I tried several other swim shorts and these are the best. The length is perfect, dries fast.

Love the color, the material, the fit! Let's face it....we are not all bikini babes. And my thighs are a bit saggy. So a board short is perfect. Found a nice top in same color and will look forward to summer starting a few weeks prepared with my new board shorts. Prana makes nice products....have owned tops and dresses from them before, and I'm glad I chose to try another of their products.

Lovely boardshorts. Flattering length with a bit of stretch. Love the details on the pockets and the drawstring. I wear a size 10/12. I ordered the large, as medium is listed at 8/10 and large 12/14. Large fit me very well. They're a tad expensive, but you can wear them out and around, too, not just in the water. I definitely would recommend these to a friend.

I bought these shorts in a store other than Zappos, but I came to Zappos to order a second pair since I love them so much. Similar to another review, I am 5'4" and weight 107 pounds. I've always found myself to be an x-small when purchasing Prana. These shorts were no different. The fit was perfect. I previously purchased the aqua blue and will buy the black from Zappos. I wish they came in other bright summer colors!
