These are my every day shoe. Typically quite comfortable. Size tends to run small for the range I shop. The new elastic retainers for the straps strike me as less durable and potential point of failure. Time will tell.

I've purchased these several times and they were always excellent until my latest brand new out of the box pair. Within a a few days the entire sole on both sneakers began to disintegrate and crumble off in chunks. Shoe Mall would not replace them. They were so new they even still had their paper stuffing!

This is a very comfortable shoe that provides decent arch support. It is also a very useful and good style as it doesn't quite look like a sport shoe, so I can use it for "business casual" at work without hurting my feet with hard leather shoes. My only reservation is its poor durability. I have had these shoes for 6 months and the soles are already very worn, especially in the heal. It's worth noting that I don't use it for sports activities and I don't wear it in wet weather.

This is my first pair of wider shoes (EE). I had to go with wider, as my feet have gotten wider as I've aged. (One of those things that they don't tell you about aging.) - Anyway, they fit well, but the styling with a blunt nose, makes them look wider than they should, and unattractive. A better designed nose (toe) that is less blunt would make this a more attractive shoe. I'll wear the shoes occasionally, but my "go to" pair of shoes will be the black leather Reeboks that I bought at the same time (at a lower price), and that have a much better look. (better designed)

First, I'd like to say that I've had a couple of different NB shoes. The "sneakers" always seemed to fit fine and were comfortable to wear. I purchased some Velcro strapped "work" shoes a while back that didn't fit, even though they were supposed to be extra wide, they just didn't have a high enough instep to fit my foot right. WELL, that is the case with these shoes. I have to have black per uniform requirements, so getting all black shoes is a must, but for some reason NB just doesn't design their "work" shoes the same way they design their "sneakers" and as a result, they don't fit right. Now, granted I may have an unusual foot shape, but I'm sure there are other people out there that have a high arch and instep that means that they need support in the arch and room to move in the instep and across the top of the foot. So it is for this reason that I'm giving only a 3 star review. I hope this helps others out there with similar foot shapes.

Have used shoes for years. Now a shoe arrives with flap not sewed and stuffing coning out. Now faced with long period getting through by phone?

Hoped to but another pair of American made 'postal walkers' but unfortunately none in my size so I had to settle for inferior imported.

577 model is more comfortable for me. I think it is the lace up hole positions.

Even the 6E width was not wide and smashed my husbands little toe. The toe box is not tall enough for my husbands big toes and there was no way husband could take out any of the lining to increase that dimension. The shoes were lovely in every way but just not right for my husband.
I'd also recommend:
you might look at Apex Footwear...they look like they might have the versitility we need...

Why shiny white sneakers are easy to clean and feel great on my arthritic feet. In fact they felt so good I bought a second pair.

After a few weeks the shoes have become so loose that my feet slide forward and my toes get sore from hitting the end of the shoe. I can't tighten them enough to keep my foot from slipping.

Have used New Balance for 29 years and have never been disappointed in their product. I have not changed my opinion following the recent order. The Website, Post Order Tracking was terrible. I was at a stressful point in the ordering process and was getting no adequate feedback from customer service, I thought it to be a hoax and was ready to Cancel my Credit Card thinking it had to be a illegitimate site/order. So for such a great product, they need to get the post part of the purchase problem solved, Thanks!

Exactly the NB for which I was looking. My older pairs always fit perfectly fine. The newer ones seem "smaller" in both width and length. My foot has not grown that much! I will find a NB store and have them take my foot measurements, however, of foot growth. I had to return the shoes. I will also go directly to a NB store when possible for best fit. Since Boston, I've always liked NB best. It DOES make a difference where the shoe is made/assembled. I do like the quality of the shoe and will seek correct fit.

The shoe fits my left foot which is in a drop toe brace. The right shoe fits a bit lose, be cause the shoe strings are about 2 inches to small. In order to utilize both holes at the top of the sneaker. To tie laces in the Heal lock fashion. In order to make a more snug fit. Laces should be about 2 inches longer.
