I purchased these shoes from Rebel for full price on the advice of the store officer, I had these shoes fitted and I traveled for a month in them through New Zealand. The product is appropriate for short term (e.g. half a day walking) wear and highly durable. I was impressed with the waterproof feature of the shoes. I completed an Alpine Crossing with these shoes and finished with dry feet. However, despite this feature these shoes were a disaster in terms of comfort-ability and useless for any long term walking. Despite my attempts to wear in the shoes and the use of thick hiking shocks my heels continually sustained heavy blisters. Perhaps, more concerning was the steel like cap toe protection, which may be a good idea in theory, but actually placed extreme pressure on my toes and resulted in substantial pain when worn for a period extending beyond 4-5 hours. The design used for the toe cap to enhance protectiveness compromised comfort and care. Though I appreciate that all shoes don't suit all foot sizes I must mention that I had these shoes fitted and they were comfortable during their first, second, third and fourth wear. It was only upon wearing them for an extended day hike that I realized the issues with the product. For a product designed for day and multi-day hikes I was disappointed and distressed by the hidden problems with the shoes. This issue had a significantly negative impact on my hiking experiences abroad and I will not be buying shoes from North Face again. I am a frequent customer and this is the first negative experience I have had.

Lasted less than 2 months, i wouldn't pay 10$ for another pair

The tread is not used friendly. The only shoes I have had worse grip on were a pair of keens.

I am wanting to send some feedback regarding the Women's Hedgehog Fastpak shoe. Please read and consider my suggestion. These shoes are first of all designed in great colors and they look really good on. They are the best looking hiking shoe out there. They are lightweight, which makes them be able to go from hiking to running errands to running to walking...this is the perfect travel shoe because you can do it all in this one shoe. They are waterproof, a must. HOWEVER, the liner inside the shoe isn't secured well to the inside of the toe box so it hangs down and rubs the tops of my big toes when I walk and this makes my toes really sore. It ruins the shoe for me. I've tried 4 pairs and it does it in all of them. You can reach a hand in and feel the liner bubbling down and you can push the air around between the liner and the shoe in the toe box. Please change the waterproof liner style so it is flush inside the toe box like the Hedgehog Hike II or other shoes. Then this would be go from one star I can't stand the sore toes and can't keep wearing these to a 5 star perfect shoe.
