Very disappointed with the Velcro fasteners on all Mephisto shoes these days. These shoes would be fine with a dress, shorts or crops. Adjustable fit is fine, but the exposed hooks catch on trouser hems, so back these go. I'd be really happy to have these shoes with an old-fashioned functional buckle. For adjustable shoes with Velcro, there are Teva action sandals. Was planning to wear these to work, but not with full-length dress trousers, which will be ruined. Trousers that fit are harder to come by than shoes. Returns are easy with Zappos. The point stuff is really annoying though - enough to send me back to brick and mortar.

These shoes are expensive, but are worth every penny! I am a teacher and I work in a school with no air conditioning. I also teach on the third floor of an old building, so wanted a sandal that was attractive, yet super comfortable, too. Believe me, I run up and down those stairs all day long! I bought my regular size, which fit me perfectly! Love, love, love my new Mephistos! The neutral color is beautiful, and the comfort and support is amazing!

These sandals are very comfortable with good arch support for lots of walking. They look stylish without looking clunky. They are well worth the price. The heel height was perfect for me.

I have been wearing Mephistos for about 15 years. They are just the best. For about $80 you can send them in to be refurbished. This pair is no exception. I love the fit and comfort. I really like this color. Yes, they are expensive but worth every dime.

This is a great shoe--a joy to wear right out of the box. Super arch support. Perfect for travel. Stylish ebough that you don't feel you're wearing a hiking shoe to the opera.

I really hated to spend the money but I have another pair that I love so I decided to go ahead and spend the money for these. I have to say I'm disappointed. I love my other pair because they are so comfortable and look nice. These are just not as comfortable. I've worn them twice and they rubbed my little toe causing a blister. I'm hoping to be able to wear them though. It's hard to find a low heeled sandal that looks good and is comfortable. For the money, they should be better.

I am returning these because I just need an extra wide shoe in the front. It's with regret as they are absolutely beautiful. In my next life I plan to wear the scarlet! I am leaving this review for anyone wondering how wide a Mephisto wide is. It's wide, but it's not a WW or EE.

Fabulous shoe and stunning in the camel color! Both front and back of sandal are easily adjustable so perfect for summer vacations with lots of walking when you're feet swell. The camel color has a subtle gold sheen that makes the shoe dressier than it otherwise would be. Dare I say, yes, worth the price!

I fell in love with these. They are so much more stylish and comfortable than some of the others (other Mephistos I tried this time were Altina, Adelie, and Honoria), and they are wonderfully comfortable, giving strong support. The velcro straps are also easier to adjust and get into than some of the other Mephistos I tried this round. The fit was perfect - size 7/37 B - for my feet that are closer to a 6.5 W. I wore my last Mephistos (same size) nearly into the ground, all over Europe, NYC, etc., and they served me well but I'd like a cleaner, new pair, and these were as close as I could find. I'm just still coping with sticker shock (the price), and wondering if my lover for these has turned into a Carrie Bradshaw shoe diva. But the fact that they feel so good may make me break down and keep these (though it is hard to imagine risking soiling them on city streets and byways). Well, if Carrie could step into "it" in Paris with white shoes, I guess I can chance it as well.

Three things I like about this sandal: 1) it is a bit less "clunky" and therefore ever-so-slightly more stylish than other Mephisto shoes I have purchased in the past. Think All-Arounder comfort with a bit more fashion sense. 2) The slightly raised heel is much more comfortable for me (back problems) than a completely flat or (horrors) negative heel. And 3) I purchased it in white and the slight sheen to the fabric gives it a fizzy, summery look that is pleasing. Haven't worn them yet other than around the house so no idea how the fabric will wear but they are very comfortable right out of the box and I have high hopes for them.

I ordered these because of the heel height and casual style. I wear a 7.5 M in almost every shoe. The 38 was a pretty good fit, but the ankle strap gaped a little. Overall I returned them because they didn't look like a $300 shoe.

This shoe runs small and the strap that goes over your foot is cut to short. But I loved the shoe. Just so disappointed.

I wish Mephisto made narrows. They are a great shoe ,unfortunately I am a narrow . Several years ago I was able to fit in a Mephisto shoe and I am still wearing them. For some reason it worked. I would buy another pair like them but they don't have them anymore.

Alas, had to return. I use size 39 in other Mephisto sandals but not these; they do run small

These sandals fit like they were created just for me. Plus they are a good support.

I usually wear an 11, but needed a 12 in this style (EU 42). Very cute and comfy.

Comfy right out of the box! My feet swell when I am traveling and this style is great as both straps are adjustable. It's isn't as stylish as I was looking for but can still wear with a casual dress and/or shorts. I originally purchased my regular size 7 but returned for an 8, which fit perfectly. Wore them 2 days straight walking in Cleveland the first week, no blisters!

I have purchased 5 pairs of these sandals. I love them. They are worth every penny. The arch support in these sandals is unrivaled. I am returning the red pair because they are just too bright and they squeaked. The Mephisto Parfolia is more stylish, but the arch support in these sandals is superior, although the arch support in the Parfolia is acceptable. I am between a 37 and 38 in European sizing, but for Mephisto, I am always a 37.

Beautiful shoe. So sorry to return it. It simply does not have enough support for my pronating feet.

These shoes would be great if they came one size bigger

This is my first pair of Mephistos and I was stunned at how comfortable it was. I usually wear a 38 or sometimes 39 in sandals, so I went with the 39 and it fits very well. I wanted something lightweight and comfortable for travel and this is just what I was looking for.

These are pretty. I love their soft look and feminine lines.

This sandal fit my hard-to-fit feet perfectly (I have very narrow ankles and the toes on one foot are wide). I wear a size 6, and the size 36 fit like a glove. It also has great arch support, which I need because I do lots of walking. However, the White Liz (lizard) is really a light cream, and clashed with the white pants I bought it for. I found a pure white leather in this style in a shoe store, and sent the White Liz back.

Size 41 is a size 10 in other European Brands. A size 42 is an 11 in Mephisto. They are really mismarked.
