Nice-looking shoe, wide toe box, some arch support. They are flat (zero heel) shoes with a sole thick enough to offer a little bit of protection from stuff on the ground. I am a big fan of barefoot shoes for casual wear but am hoping to use these for running, but I'm worried about how to change my stride and strike. If you're a dominant heel striker, you'll definitely feel the shock running up your leg in these shoes. So far, I've done only 1 treadmill run (very slow, ~2 mi), but I was pleased with how these felt. No knee or foot pain afterward. These do seem to run a little large - I bought these in a size 9 but had to exchange them for an 8.5.

Fun shoe but make sure that the pavement isn't hot where you are walking. I walk on the street to get to a trail head and my feet get heated from the pavement in this shoe.

Rubber over the top of the toe ruins these otherwise great, flat shoes. Loved the colors, fit and feel. Very lightweight. But my toe was restricted by the stiff rubber cover above it, making running in these uncomfortable for my big toe. My toe nail would catch on the edge of the rubber. Too bad.

I was looking for a shoe to replace the New Balance minimus trail shoe that I've been wearing for years. The Merrell Vapor Glove 2 is a nice shoe - very comfortable and lightweight, feel like you are wearing slippers. i walked 4 miles my first day with them and there was absolutely no rubbing oe chafing. Love the minimal arch support. There are a couple of drawbacks however. i do a lot of hiking on trails and these shoes have a very thin sole so I can feel the rocks/pebbles really well and have to watch where I'm stepping. Also, the shoe has such a low profile that debris ends up in the shoe as you're walking- I have to stop at least once along the way to take off the shoe and shake out the debris. Because of these issues I ended up ordering the Merrell Vapor 3 which has a 4mm sole and are much better for the trails. Am using the Vapor 2’s for walking on paved surfaces.

Merrell changed this model over time. I am disappointed as the heel cup is higher and they are slightly longer for a size 11M. Material change means slightly rougher on the skin. I am keeping them for now. I suspect if I don't keep this version the next model change will move further away from the minimal shoe design. Stronger feet and legs. Better balance and posture. Who wouldn't want more minimal shoe options!

Merrell! Please bring back the original Pace Glove with the elastic at the back! They were the best shoe I have ever had that prevents knee torque. The Vapor Glove 2 is close, but I'm giving it 4 stars because the fabric doesn't hold up. I'm still wearing my Pace Gloves. They look old, but at least the fabric doesn't have holes. I've worn through two previous pairs of Vapor Gloves. C'mon Merrell. You can do better than that!

Love Merrell's, but this shoe did not work for me as I have fallen arches, completely flat feet. Typically I prefer a shoe with low to no arch, despite having flat feet but this one felt uncomfortable. Like the look, except toe box is very square. Worth a try if going for minimalist.

I love the feel of the footbed, width is good with nice toe room, but just too much volume/height in the toe area for my feet. Trying to decide whether to try a half size smaller. I'm reviewing the 10.5, normally wear 10-11 in athletic shoes.

These shoes are super fun, love the colors. However, if you are looking for ANY kind of support at all, this shoe is not for you. (my opinion) It's comfy, and it's perfect for what I was looking for, I am traveling, and wanted a slip proof shoe for a boat and a little protection while walking on the beach, and in the ocean, but I don't think I can even walk through the airport with these, but that could just be my foot.

I prefer a very minimal shoe for walking and daily use, and this fits the bill. My only complaint is that they wear out really fast. Lots of fraying on the upper within months of purchase.

These seem a little short - first and second toes touch tip of shoe. The width seems fine. I may try these half a size larger because I like the ultra light weight and road feel.

I'm usually between a 9 and 9.5. Bought the 9.5 and the shoe still felt uncomfortably short. These run at least a half size small. Wasn't crazy about the style, so I'm returning them and not getting the larger size.

These are much narrower than other Merrell minimalist shoes I have worn. They are also shorter than I expected. I kept them, but if I hadn't worn them for a run first I would have sent them back for a larger size. There is not enough room in the toe box to allow for foot spread while running.

I owned the shoes two versions prior to this one and this didn't disappoint. You can take the "Glove" to heart.

I love these shoes. I have 5 pairs in different color ways. 3 of them were purchased through Zappos and they have great service, totally hassle free! My only complaint with them is that the fabric body mysteriously gets holes that shouldn't be there but the shoes still hold together.

Great shoe for indoor walking. I wish there was a little more padding in the sole for long distance walking on cement and uneven terrain, but overall, my feet do really well in these shoes. Barefoot shoes with no arch support have been the answer for my plantar fasciitis issues.

I found these shoes to be exactly as described, both by the manufacturer as well as many reviews. I am not a barefoot runner, but am trying to get into it. I've only been walking in these shoes, over a variety of urban and trail terrain. They are very comfortable in that I basically feel that I am barefoot, in terms of how my foot connects with the ground, yet the sole protects the bottom of my feet perfectly. I've chosen to wear them with socks, and they are very comfortable. No socks is comfortable too, but sweaty.

This shoe has more arch support then the Vapor Glove 2, which is what I wanted. However the toe is not roomy and it seems to be about a half size too short. Alas, they are going back.

These are the best minimalist shoes I've found (after trying on 5 different other pairs) but these aren't without fault. 1. The inside seam structure scraped skin off the top of both of my feet so I had to add moleskin on the inside. Works fine now 2. The left shoe dug into the back of my ankle and took off skin while I was running. A pair of socks didn't help much. After 10 miles in these shoes, I still have to wear padding on the left back of ankle to preventing scraping. Even after all this, I would get it again.

I absolutely adore the fit and look of these shoes. HOWEVER: the durability is terrible. The sides fray like crazy after only a few months of use. I've bought two pairs of these now and both have done this.

I wanted to love these shoes. I LOVE the style. But I got severe pain in my feet when I wore them for more than an hour at a time. Maybe a problem with my feet?

Very thin sole, returning because I don't think it will provide enough support! Bummer, because I love the colors and the low profile.

I LOVE the soles and the minimalist feel. However, the rest of the shoe is not high quality - the mesh pulls and becomes fuzzy like velcro, the tag unravels, and the fabric on the inner sole wears through super fast ...

I have a pair of the originals. This style was very dissappointing. The sole was extremely thin. Very little arch support unlike the original. Returning and hope to find another style.

I wanted to love these shoes, but they don't allow my toes to spread naturally (a must for "barefoot" shoes!), and I don't have particularly wide feet. I even went up a size hoping that would help, but I ended up with a too-long shoe that still didn't allow my toes to spread naturally. Harrumph.
