I purchased these after my daughter told me they were the most comfortable pair of shoes that she owns. They are great running shoes but I like them for daily wear because they are so comfortable. If you prefer to be barefoot and want to experience that kind of comfort when you have to wear shoes then these shoes are for you.

These shoes are the next best thing to going barefoot. Two weeks ago, I injured the tendon under my ankle, and quickly realized that any shoe or sandal with even the smallest inclined heel was bothering my foot. Walking with bare feet felt the best, but going bare foot out in the world is not always an option. These Merrells are as comfortable as breathable socks with a flexible sole. Because of those features, plus the large toe area that gives toes freedom to wiggle, I forget that they are even on my feet. Merrells have been the shoe brand that I most love since first introduced to them in 2002. I own multiple pairs of Merrell shoes, boots and sandals for all seasons and conditions. This new pair didn't disappoint, and my foot is feeling so much better now that I'm wearing these and another pair of soft shoes that I also reviewed.

Incredibly comfortable but even with my thinnest injinji socks, my big toe is hitting the end. I know these shoes will be perfect once I exchange them for a half size larger!

I had a pair of these a few years ago (perhaps the first generation) and I loved them. I recently went looking for them and discovered that I must have gotten rid of them. I really wanted these in black, but took a chance on the Sea Blue/Coral color. As a neutrals kind of gal, I am a bit uncomfortable wearing such brightly colored sneakers - but I get a lot of complements on them and they are quite comfortable. Just like my pair before them, they are light weight and allow your feet to relax. I am not a runner, but I intend to wear them for walking around this summer.

I bought my mother a second pair of these after she loved the first pair so much. They are super comfortable and for those that want a light shoe and a barefoot feel, this is it! I personally love to be barefoot, yet their are times I need more than flip flops or sandals covering my feet. This is the shoe for those times. Thanks to Zappos for the excellent on time shipping, as always!

Love these shoes! I have never worn "barefoot" type shoe, so happy to have invested in these Merrells. I imagine they would be great for my HITT class as the soles are super flexible and grippy. No more slipping out of those tough positions. Would definitely recommend these shoes.

I was an early adopter of the Merrell "Barely There" sneaker. So when I was ready for another pair I was disappointed that I could not find them. This was the closest shoe to what I wanted. I love them. If you are a fan of less is better, this is the shoe for you.

Fit is fantastic right out of the box. There are no seams to create hot spots or rubbing. It truly feels like a soft glove hugging your foot. Toe box is generous. Very happy!

Love these shoes! Comfy and stylish. With the barefoot feel, you don't get the total support other athletic shoes provide...but the arch support is good. I ordered two more pairs, different colors. If anything, they run large.

I love these shoes! I was a little hesitant to get such a flashy pair, I prefer more subdued colors but they are so incredibly comfortable and the colors have grown on me. These are my first pair of minimalist shoes so I've been breaking them in slowly. My neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks, just dirt/rocky paths so I was a little concerned about the thin sole but I have found these to be fine over rocky terrain. Absolutely love them!

These shoes are super thin and you feel everything you walk on. Also, the upper portion of the shoe is extremely light weight. It is truly like walking barefoot.

I've been wearing VFF shoes for several years and find them the best for my posture, my feet, my knees, my back... yeah. All of me. The problem I have with wearing my VFF shoes every single day is that the vast majority of my extensive sock collection are regular (although interesting!) knee-high socks. And because I've been doing a lot more Tai Chi lately, the heavier-soled athletic shoes were getting more than a little uncomfortable to wear. Enter the Merrell Vapor Glove 2. I read all the reviews and decided to go with the Vapor Glove 2 style rather than the Pace Glove 3; it seemed the soles would be closer to what I expect from wearing the VFF shoes. Yes. They're close enough for me. About the size. I measured my feet carefully. I considered the size I wear in the VFF shoes. I figured 9 would be right. Right? Wrong. I wear an 8 in "regular" shoes, so I traded the 9s in for 8s, and they're definitely a better fit. They still feel a bit longer than the New Balance (normal sole) athletic shoes I'm about to toss in the Goodwill box, but I don't mind having the wiggle room for my toes. I can lace them loosely or snugly, and I no longer have to worry about slipping on my wood stairs because my slippers have no tread. (Arch support... well, considering that they're minimalist shoes, there is minimalist support. But for the type of shoe, it's middle of the road. There's not a lot of support, but there is a smidge. Maybe I only notice because I have low arches?) Zappos exchange was super easy and super fast! I don't often buy shoes, but when I do... I always head to Zappos first!

Merrell really has hit a sweet spot with the Vapor Glove 2. This really is a true barefoot segment casual/sport shoe. Comfort: The Vapor Glove is a worthy contender against Vibram Five Fingers and Vivo in the barefoot market. The proprioceptive feedback is phenomenal, while maintaining a durable, protective sole. Think about the purity of the original Vibram FiveFingers, without the wacky look. As disclaimer for those not versed in the barefoot movement: There is zero support in this shoe. This is by design, and may not be a good choice for a gradual barefoot transition shoe. Durability: Improved over the original Vapor Glove. I had a pair of the original Vapor Gloves that did not make past six months of marginal use due to upper fabric splitting. I have put a significant amount of street wear on the second version, over last 18 months, the durability seems much improved. Versatility: These are my primary casual shoe, my weight-training and light distance running shoe. I do a fair amount of travel - They add nearly zero space foot-print (pun intended) to the minimalist's single travel pack. Style: I rated these as a four, only because I do not care for any but the black color combination. I tend to rate style of barefoot shoes on being inconspicuous in its target market segment rather than wow-factor or marketing gimmick. As a Vibram FiveFinger early adopter/enthusiast, I loved the feel and durability, but I ended up dropping them in 2010 after a long time drudge of being Vibram's proxy marketeer. The Vapor Gloves are far less conspicuous, but I would prefer a more neutral or subtle color combinations that I might be able to sneak in business casual setting. Comparable footwear: While I could make the Vapor Glove 2 my primary footwear, dress, business casual, and winter wear drive me primarily to Vivobarefoot offerings. While I think the Vapor Glove edges out on minimal feel, I really like the Vivobarefoot options for the following style segments: - Business/Dress: Lisbon - Business Casual: Ra, Gobi - Trail Wear: Gobi - Winter Wear/Trail Wear: Scott

Super lightweight. Super comfortable. Excellent for walking in. Did one run which was a little weird feeling. Had sore calves afterwards but I think it was just because the shoes caused my muscles to work in a new way.

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. I am trying to increase my use of minimal footwear and these are great. My feet and toes feel free and grounded. I have a pretty wide forefoot and these fit wonderfully. I mainly wear these casually, but I plan on buying another pair to start running in. I typically wear an 8 1/2-9 and ordered the 9 in these. With socks, the fit is perfect. Without socks, a tad big, so I would go with the 8 1/2 if I didn't plan to wear socks. The soles are pretty grip-py, which I like. The only con I noticed was that there is a slight gathering of material near the big toe area of the right shoe. If it becomes an issue, I know that Zappos will take care of it. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and plan on getting more.

This shoe is as close to barefoot as you can get. I love them for TRX and all sorts of functional indoor and outdoor training. They allow me to grip the ground with my toes. The toe box is nice and wide. They are very flexible and unstructured with no arch support. I do not feel that my feet are sensory deprived in them. I like that. I have other wide toe box shoes from Merrell with more structure and good arch support which I use for walking, hiking and running. These are perfect for me to train in my studio.

This is the first pair of barefoot shoes I have ever purchased. I chose them because one review stated that they were most like the barefoot Merrells people used to love. First, I didn't have any of the muscle aches that some described, probably because I spend most of my life barefoot anyway. Second, it has a tiny bit of arch support that is very comfortable. I'm not a runner, just a walker, but have not had any problem walking on wet surfaces.

Love these! They're super cute. I get lots of compliments. While they are 'barefoot' shoes, the way the bottom is molded does give your foot a hugged feel. I am usually a 6 3/4s so I buy a 7 but these run a tad big. I wish I had gotten a 6 1/2 but I like them too much to send them back.

I absolutely love these shoes because they cured my restless leg literally overnight! In addition to needing a minimalist or barefoot shoe for my restless leg, I also have extremely narrow feet. This is the only barefoot shoe that I have ever worn that correctly fits my feet. I do have to wear thin socks, but I am used to that. I love the padded tongue and sides that add extra comfort for my poor foot that has no padding of its own. I love these shoes so much that I ordered two two additional pairs because I am afraid that you will chance the shoe. In fact, I might even order a few more to ensure that I have them for years to come. That is how thrilled I am to have found a shoe that keeps my legs still at night yet still looks good on my foot. Thank you, Merrell!

Very comfortable. The toe box is wide, so my toes are not scrunched. I don't wear socks so the size is fine, if I wore socks, I would need an extra half size.

I love these shoes. They're my first pair of barefoot shoes and they are super comfortable. No breaking in period needed for me. I can wear them comfortably with or without socks. My feet are very narrow, but these shoes fit well. I am usually an 8.5 narrow. The 8.5 was too short, so I sent them back and got a 9. They fit great.

Love at first try! I've been looking for a new pair of minimalist running shoes for a while, since I've worn mine to death. Well, I found a winner! I love that these are totally flexible (both sole and mesh upper), have great grip and zero padding, have plenty of room in the toe box, and look badass! (Note: They run a bit long - I'm usually an 8.5 or 9 and these 8.5s are a tiny bit too long.) I'm getting them in another color, since I'm sure to wear both pairs to death.

I have a tendency to strike hard on my heel which made running pretty unpleasant for me. So, I purposefully sought out a shoe with much less cushion on the heel so that I would strike somewhere between mid-foot and ball. These totally get the job done and have transformed the way that I run.

If you like minimalist shoes, like the Vibram 5 finger toe shoes, this is the perfect shoe. It's a great alternative to the toe shoes. It's really like running barefoot and extremely light. I've had mine for about three years now and they're still holding up. I definitely recommend these.

I don't know what I would do without these shoes. This is my third pair. My daughter absconded with my first pair because she loves them too. I normally take my shoes off in the house, but tend to forget that I have these on. They are so comfortable!
