These are the most comfortable water shoes I have worn in a long time. No binding and no break in time. Had to order a size smaller than usual.

I have the women's version of this shoe, which I bought for our trip to Costa Rica. I have a narrow foot, size 9 1/2 AA. I was amazed when I tried them on and discovered they are adjustable and fit perfectly. I tried to get my husband to get them as well. Two days before our trip, he relented and I ordered these from Zappos in 2 different colors and 2 different sizes. My husband also has a narrow foot, size 11 B. This size fit him perfectly as well. He wore them the entire time we were in Costa Rica and loved them. He is still wearing them at home on the weekends. I appreciate the quick shipping from Zappos. These are great shoes for light hiking, going in the water, or just casual wear.

Well worth the money. I mainly use it whike boating, kayaking, canoeing and the beach. My feet just slip in and were a good fit from the start. Did not need to break them in at all.

I just spent 5 days and about 50 miles on some of the most rugged terrain of the Appalachian Trail with these shoes. I wanted to see how they would hold up on the NC mountains. These shoes worked great and held traction better than my regular pair of hikers. Easy to get on and off while jumping in and out of hammock.

ALL OUT BLAZE SIEVE After wearing the All Out Blaze Stretch Waterproof for a year and really liking the easy on/off, quick lacing and sticky outsole, I bought all colors of the Sieve sandal version for use in/around the water and as an all-purpose street sandal in the Florida summer heat. These are exceptionally comfortable right out of the box, no break-in period required. The UniFly sole is sticky on hard surfaces regardless of precipitation, and deep enough for off-road use. The Lycra neoprene stretch upper material makes the sandal easy to take on and off, and the one-pull elastic lacing system is really slick, easy to adjust in very small increments and stretches enough to accommodate either bare feet or socks (for those of you who wear socks with sandals). For all-round daily use in sunny climes, this sandal is hard to beat.

I have bought so many Merrell shoes and I keep coming back to buy them again and again. They are simply great and worth the money, I bought this pair for casual use in summer and I am so excited I did. This is an amazingly light pair of footwear but at the same time feels strong. Sole is strong with excellent grip, no slippage at all and seems very durable. Comfort could be a bit better but I guess upper materials are so thin to make it lightweight and give good hug to your feet for hiking and in water, that they feel a little bit rough, but perhaps in a few days my feet will get used to it. Arch support could be better. People are reporting loose fit but my experience is that it fits to size. I am size 11 and bought 11 and fitting was fine. Overall I am happy with the shoes.

Order these and the Choprock Shandal together. These are a bit lighter and while comfortable, they are not as comfortable as the Shandal was. However, both styles run BIG. The Shandal is at least a full size too large. The All Out Blaze are 1/2 size too big. I am returning both and ordered a smaller size of the Blaze. See my other review on the Shandal.

Decent water shoes with good water hiking ability. When they get wet, they seem to expand, so have to keep pulling draw-string tighter to keep them on. There's also no convenient place to tuck the drawstring away. The big holes in the side let in pebbles, sand and rocks, but also allow them to wash out quite easily. The drawstring method means they're not super secure to the feet. A better anchoring system would be good.

The only reason I didn't give these 5 stars is the thickness of the sole. They are very thin and not a great deal of support. There is some support, but would like more.

Awesome portage sandal. Merrell bring back the velcro heel strap and it would be 5 star!

These are light and comfortable but I returned them because they were a little too big. I wear a size 12 and an 11.5 would have fit better, but doesn't exist.

Had my doubts about this Merrell shoe. 1st day of wearing it was quite stiff and somewhat uncomfortable. The good news, the shoe has broken in quite nicely after a couple of days. The only knock on this shoe is the elastic lacing does seem to loosen a bit after activity, but not a deal breaker.

These hikers replace a pair I've owned of a prior model - and wore for years until I absolutely couldn't wring another mile out of them. While the design of the uppers has changed, the basic functionality remains the same - albeit lighter. The only reason I give it four stars instead of five is I need more time to evaluate the durability of the sole; but my initial experience is positive!

If I were to wear socks with these, they would have been ok, but the top of the toe box was rough on my toes and I want to wear these as true water shoes with no socks. They were a tad heavy for my liking also. They seemed sturdy like they would have held up and I did like the lace style.

I guide canoe trips and needed a shoe that was a sandle/shoe that would allow me to work on land and in the water. I really like Vibram soles and this sandal offered that feature. Water shoes that have soft soles do not hold up to the rocks, roots and other nature made products you deal with on wilderness canoe trips. This shoe did fine with only one complaint. It slipped off easily at one point when I needed it to stay in place but I may need to tighten the bindings on my next adventure.

These sandals are comfortable. Unfortunately, I could not give them five stars due to the fact that after a couple days straight of wearing them all day and doing a lot of walking there was a spot on the bottom of both feet in the same place that was pretty sore. They also can get a bit warmer on my feet than I had thought would be the case.

Great styling for a water shoe, and also a much tighter fit that many others in this category. I ordered about 16 pairs of water shoes before finally selecting this one as one that combines style, comfort and function. I normally where a 9/9.5, but found I was right on the cusp of 9.5/10 in this shoe. I'm disappointed no water shoe seems to effectively be an amphibious hiking shoe -- a shoe, with laces, but also designed for water-throughput -- but this is the best I could find.

Good feel. Plenty of room for my narrow feet. Maybe even a bit much on the front half, (size 12) but it's really nice to feel the entire shoe is secure while still being breezy and having my foot protected. Every now and then if the top of my foot brushes the top, it's a little rough feeling. But I think it wouldn't happen much and if it did, it wouldn't be terribly irritating. Sturdy feeling. Nice look.

These shoes are nice looking and relatively well made. This shoe was meant to replace a pair of worn out similar style TEVA's. The shoes are very "Light" on the overall sole. Not a lot of comfort built in and I was a little surprised by that. I've owned a dozen pairs of Merrel's always with adequate sole thickness. I'm an active 6'5" 225 pounder so foot comfort is high priority.

Overall my husband loves this product. Looks great and feels great for a few hours but structure is a little more flat footed than most Merrell shoes. Would be better with more arch support!!
